That sounds promising!!!!!!!!!!!
My dr stripped my membranes w/o asking, too. At first I was pissy about it, but I let it go. I was so ready to be done that I would've let her anyway. I just would've liked to have been asked!
Hopefully your body co-operates and you have your little one VBAC
Why does your doctor insist that baby will be too big? My SIL delivered a nearly 12 lb baby vaginally, so I can't understand why someone can't deliver one less than 9 lbs. The other thing is my OB/GYN told me that the later ultrasounds can be inaccurate.

Any news??? It's interesting that you guys had docs that stripped membranes without asking you. My doc was all anti-membrane-stripping. He told me he'd do it if I really insisted, but he encouraged me not to. I REALLY wanted to with Sean, but ended up not pushing it since my doc wasn't really into it.
Mary - I have no idea why he stripped my membranes if he's already (in his head) declared me a repeat. Although, he told me this week that he knows I want a VBAC something fierce, so I think he was trying to push things along.
Amanda - Fetal macrosomia (fetal weight greater than 8.13) CAN have adverse affects on someone trying to VBAC. My OB tried to say it's because things can get "stuck" on your scar/scar tissue, and cause ruptures. I haven't seen a lot of research on that, except that ACOG states that suspected fetal macrosomia should not solely be a reason to perform a repeat c/s. I honestly think he thinks I'm too small and baby is too big.
I know I'm a little late, but I had an appointment on Tuesday! I'm still 4 cm dilated, but now 80% effaced (I was 50% last week). ALSO! I think I shocked the you-know-what out of my OB, because baby is now -2 station! Last week (well, just 5 days prior) he'd been -4! So that is progress! I think he was super shocked because he was quiet for a while, and then told me he was really pleasantly surprised with my progress. Like I said before, I REALLY think he's convinced I'm too small for this baby. He did admit, though, that my u/s came back with me having a bit of high fluid, which is what is making me look bigger than baby really is. So I think he's coming around to the idea that the baby isn't NEARLY as big as he thinks (he keeps saying 9 lbs!), and that I CAN do this VBAC.
But, at this point, now being overdue, I'm getting anxious! I have an appointment on Tuesday, and I assume since it's my 41 week appointment, I'll have to make some sort of decision on his birth (they'll only let me go to 41 weeks for a VBAC). Ugh. I hope he comes before then!
Stubborn little man!! I do hope your VBAC works out but if not healthy and happy is the important thing![]()

Good luck! Sending you tons of labor vibes. I haven't had any heavy big babies, but I've done big heads. Raymond had a presentation of 15" (big head+hand) and needed vacuum assistance, but I did get him out of my tiny body.![]()
