    Default November Chat Thread

    Happy November! Where is everyone??

AFM - Two people in my facebook friends had babies today on 11/1/11... Thought that was pretty cool! One was in my HS class who already had one preemie (this one made it further, maybe 36 or 37 weeks and was born half a pound bigger than Cal), the other was a technician I worked with in IL who had a set of baby boy/girl twins that were pretty young when I lived there, so this was her third.

Wow October flew by! Happy November!

I'll try to get the pictures of the girls posted in the next couple of days from Halloween.

Right now I need to get Natalie in bed, she's lying down in my bed at the moment.

I'm busy, as usual. Last night was awesome. Raymond got tired of ToT earlier than I expected (I was home handing out candy) but 10 min after they got back Alex started out the door for round 2. I had to chase him down with his costume. I'll get a pic up eventually. Oh, the toddler party went well, too.

I've been super exhausted the last few days. If it weren't impossible (no O) I'd suspect I was pregnant. Ugh. Must be waking up while it's still dark out.

How are you doing, Mary? I didn't get a chance to say earlier, but your crazy EWCM sounds like a normal gear up to first O while BFing... at least from my experience.

Amanda - I can't wait to see your pictures!

AHHHHH! A friend on my Facebook just posted they adopted a baby, now I want one. Though she is an odd one and it may just be that she got another mannequin for her store, she makes hair accessories and tutu's. Either way the baby fever is no fun. I'll keep you posted on what's going on when she gets pics up.

    HAPPY NOVEMBER!

Katie, YAY a baby this month!!!!!!!!!!!!

Virginia, glad the party went well. Sounds like Alex loved ToT'ing!

Mary, what a fun birthday for those babies.

Amanda, sorry about the baby fever. It doesn't take much to set it off, does it? Wait, so you're not sure if she adopted a real baby or a mannequin?

AFM, Halloween was a lot of fun. Xander was not happy about his Elmo costume at first, but once we got outside he was happy to wear the hood (it was cold). He was a little shy at first with the ToT'ing (except our neighbors who he knew), but after a few houses he was a pro and was RUNNING down the sidewalk to each house. By the end we even got him to knock on a few doors and he even tried to walk into one persons house. He had a great time watching the other kids and getting all caught up in hordes of them. haha. That's not usually his personality, but I guess he was just really excited or something. Or overtired. It was past bedtime. heh.

In other news, AF started a few days ago. Hopefully I'll only have one more AF after this before I can get pregnant. Hopefully.

Alrighty update on my friend, her daughter wanted a Zombie doll, so they got her one on sale after Halloween, that was their "baby". I knew it would be something odd.

Glad you all had a good Halloween! I'm ready for TG now... Even though I'm working TG night, so I won't get to go to my big family dinner or anything. Boo! DH said he'd get up early and cook turkey and stuff before I go to work. I'll help of course.

Lauren - I hope the next cycle goes by quickly so you can get back into TTC mode.

Katie - Not too much longer! Hang in there... And take lots of big belly pics!!

Virginia - Glad your party went well. Boooo for the exhaustion. I feel ya! As for how I'm feeling... Not even remotely out of the ordinary. I broke down and bought some of those cheapo HPT's from the internet, but they just shipped out today, so I don't have them yet. It would be too early to find anything out anyway. The timing would still be very, very bad for us, so I'm really hoping I didn't have an "oops". Of course I'd be thrilled about it if it happened, but timing could definitely be better.

Cal has been sick again. I've had no success with feeding him solids AT ALL. For some reason, he can't tolerate baby food. I've been SO SLOW to give him any, and then when I do, he vomits profusely for hours, gets diarrhea, etc. We saw the doc today and she started him back on his zantac in the event that it's just a reflux related thing. we're going to slowly offer him very small amounts of solids each day (like a couple spoons full) and she's also having him do a blood test for food allergies... it's unlikely at his age, but it's just another thing to rule out. If those things don't work, or he is unable to increase his intake of solids after 3-4 weeks, we might have to resort to a test where he swallows barium and they can check how he swallows and how the food moves through his GI tract. And if that doesn't come up abnormal and nothing is getting better, then we'll see a GI specialist. Ugh.... I just hope this is no huge deal. He's fine if he's drinking breast milk, but that's it. Give him any significant quantity of food, and it's over. Ugh... So we spent all last night with Cal vomiting until he was empty, then dry heaving, screaming like he was in pain, etc...

And... Does anyone watch "The Little Couple"?? It's the reality show about the 'little people' who are married... She's like a little over 3 feet and he's around 4' even. Anyway, they're trying to have a surrogate pregnancy, because it was deemed too risky for her to carry a baby and it would inevitably be a preemie. Anyway, so they just found out in this episode that they got pregnant, but then had an update from 6 weeks later where they miscarried. SOOOO sad, omg. I was teary-eyed. So many of their thoughts and emotions that they talked about were exactly what I went through... All the way to the end when they said the one thing it did was to solidify the fact that this is what they want, and they will try again. The surrogate said she will try again also. I hope it works for them!!

Amanda - that's a little bizarre lol and sorry about the baby fever!

Lauren - that is so cute! We didn't ToT we're lame LOL but it sounds like Xander had a blast! Yay for 1 more off cycle! Hopefully once you get to TTC it's fast!

Mary - That's so strange on Cal! Apparently the last 2 days at daycare Evan has thrown up at lunch. He CHOWED dinner tonight no puking so I don't know what's up with that. Hopefully Cal does better with some time. Poor kiddo

AFM - I'm TIRED! DH and I have been up way too late and it's caught up with me. 37 weeks and full term tomorrow! My boss keeps giving me things at work and I keep trying to get them done but he isn't really grasping that in a MAX of 3 weeks I will be out. They still have NO concrete plan for my responsibilities. Sigh. I HATE that. We need a plan I'm full term while I might make it 3 more weeks I might not a PLAN would be good here people!

Mary, so sorry Cal isn't holding down solids. I hope it isn't anything serious. Too bad about missing TG dinner. I'm deliriously excited about TG this year! We missed it last year because Xander had strep throat and we had to stay home, then we didn't want to make a turkey for just us and had a pork tenderloin instead. I want my turkey, dangit! lol

Katie, haha, isn't this what happened last time you were due? No real plan at work? Hope they get their act together!

AFM, just got back a bit ago from having professional pictures taken of Xander for the first time. We just had them done at Walmart since we were scared he'd flip out and we wouldn't get any pictures (and then you just get that cheapie $9 plan that doesn't give you anything). Well, we actually managed to get him in a good mood (with M&M's - yes, I bribed my kid with candy) and got some great pictures. He even let me change his clothes halfway through for some different pictures. I'm so happy we got a lot of great pics! Of course then you're slapped with a huge bill because they're kind of shady and won't tell you any prices beforehand (I flat out asked!) and then they only have a few packages available - all very very expensive. Cheaper than a professional photographer, but still it came to like $180 at the end! WITH a 20% off coupon too! At least we got a CD with all of the pictures and the copyright to them. I would've JUST bought the CD, but that alone is $250! How odd! lol. Makes sense, though. They don't want you to just buy the CD. haha. The lady included a free sheet because she really wanted me to order this one picture that she loved, but I wasn't going to order. haha. I'll take it if it's free! lol.
