Amanda - Your yesterday sounded somewhat similar to mine, haha. Your pets were causing problems and making messes. Mine was my kids. Sean went to the bathroom and came out and told me he made a mess. I went in, and the floor was freaking FLOODED with pee. Like I didn't even know he could pee that much. GRRRRR. So I had to clean the whole bathroom floor and it was right as I was trying to leave for work. Blah.
Lauren - I hope the cough is nothing. I've had people with that issue related to heartburn, so could be. As for my BP... The last time I was in the office, it was 140/90. I probably should have specified UPPER 130's/80's. Grr. My intern took my pulse today (she has to do it on someone for school)... My heart rate was 114 beats per minute. It's really insane. Ugh. It's always relatively fast, but it's out of control now.
AFM - I got a craving for vegetable soup today and came home and made the BIGGEST pot of it EVER. LOL. Actually, I ran out of room in my huge stock pot and had to split it up into TWO large pots. Hahaha. We all ate out of one for dinner and we have a TON left. I don't mind. If I have leftovers, it makes packing my lunch easier, and I won't have to cook tomorrow night. :)
Mary - You need to figure out how to send me all that yummy food you keep making.
Slow start to the day, the plan is the same as Tuesday, just hope this time I can execute it without any hitches.
Hahaha... Too bad I can't send you some of it. I'm gaining too much weight already!! Veggie soup ought to be at mostly healthy, though, right? I did but some beef in it, but it was pretty lean and I need my protein. :)
I'm exhausted tonight. I had to come home and write a recommendation letter for one of my former technicians who is applying for graduate school. Fun times. I wasn't enthusiastic about writing it... Just because another pharmacist we work with was supposed to, and he flaked out and didn't come through on it. So she asked me to whip one up in like a day. But once I started typing, it was EASY. She is really an AMAZING employee and highly intelligent. So I got the letter done quickly and I'm just resting now. :)
Mary: nicely done on the recommendation letter. It always makes it easier if it's someone you actually think it is worth recommending! Yikes to your pee incident. We had something similar happen a few weeks ago but never figured out the culprit. As far as the t-shirt, DH's family was pretty excited once we pointed it out.
Lauren: glad your little guy is head down and still has a penis ;) Sorry about the heartburn...that is my most dreaded part of pregnancy after morning sickness and I probably only have a month or two before it starts.
Virginia: good to see you! Happy belated b-day and nice job on making Thanksgiving dinner!! Best of luck this cycle :vibes: Maybe after this slightly larger space, you can have three more close ;) I vote three girls next hahaha
Amanda: ugh sorry your animals are acting up. My dog found a diaper yesterday that Brekke "threw away" (put on the table) and he tore it up everywhere. Pets...
My kids are having a screaming contest ATM so I only have patience for 2 more seconds. DS had a pedi appt today and he's 9% for weight and 76% for height. Very strange to me since DD was like 3% for each by this age. I was surprised his weight was so low but his pedi said it's probably because he's so busy because he eats a ton. I think I'll try to get a little more protein in his diet anyway. So I still haven't said anything on FB and a friend of mine just announced she's expecting a week before me. Pretty cool, but she is finding out the gender in a week!? I'd say she'll be right at 14 weeks so pretty much the earliest they'll look. Pretty crazy that I COULD find out soon if I wanted to. Alright I can't handle the screaming gotta go.
Ashley - I found out at 15w with Oliver and it was super obvious.
Too funny about the pee disasters. Welcome to my life. I swear, I clean tons of pee off the floor everyday. Their aim has gotten better since we got the toilet decals (to aim at) but they literally pee all over the room whenever they poop. And I can never get the smell out of the bathroom.
AFM: temp definitely isn't rising to quickly this time. I kind of wonder whether I Oed, even though I felt 3 separate times which could have been O pain (I expect only one was) and everything except temp says I'm past O. My pre-O temps were kind of high this time (I love my blankets in the winter) and my temps stayed super low the first few dpo with Alex, so it's plausible.
Mary - Hope you get lots of rest tonight. Glad the recommendation letter was easy to write up.
Ashley - That's cool that your friend is preggo too. I kinda wished that my friends got pregnant close to me, but that didn't happen. Hope you got the screaming match in control, crazy thing is it happens even with 10 years difference.
Virginia - Hope you catch an egg this month.
We know a couple, I'm closer to the male (met him in college) and his wife is due any day now, not sure how I am going to deal with the baby fever. O.O Gotta remember I have to pick up the book "Guess How Much I Love You" it's one of my favourite stories buy it for every couple.
Didn't get much cleaning done today, OMG my house is turning into a disaster, might convince DH to do all the errands with Nat so I can clean alone on the weekend.
Virginia: sounds promising still!! LOL sorry about having pee everywhere all the time. Not sure I'll be able to handle that. Boys need special toilets just for them even as adults and this standing up stuff has got to go ;)
Amanda: sorry you didn't much cleaning done. My house was starting to look like a bomb went off there for a couple of weeks and it gave me such anxiety but I was too exhausted to do anything about it. Now it at least just looks like I have two crazy kids. Hopefully at some point my energy will return so I can make it look much tidier.
SO DH & I had a discussion about finding out the gender and he is dead set on knowing. I'm pretty set on NOT knowing so we're toying with the idea of just him finding out. We have 6 weeks to decide, but I really think we need to go through the logistics of what that'll entail. Honestly, I don't think he can do it so I don't know what I'll do...take a risk of having the surprise blown or just find out with him. Hmm..
I'm so behind! Between sick kids and work I haven't been able to keep up! So no personals - but HI! :)
Evan got Rory's bug and has had a fever all week. Seriously how do people work if they don't have family that can help and flexible employers? We would have had 2 straight weeks of having to take vacation time if we weren't both management and my mom wasn't able to help. The fever appears to be some sort of viral thing that just drags on for about 6 days. My mom stayed with Evan 3 days this week DH did one and I'm home today. Here's to hoping Monday we're all back to normal! Sheesh!
Katie - You're absolutely right. I thank my stars all the time that DH is a SAHD, because otherwise, I'd have to miss SOOO much work. We don't have any friends/family who live within a reasonable distance, so we're it as far as child care goes. I have missed work a couple times for their illnesses, but I think it was more for me than for them. I'm sure DH could have handled it, but I was terrified, like after Sean's febrile seizure and after the night we had Calvin in the ER at 6 months with vomiting and they were concerned with intussusception... It was too stressful for me to leave them. Plus we were in the ER both times until the wee hours, so I was exhausted.
My kids have both been sick this past week or so also (since about Thanksgiving day). Just colds, nothing too horrible, but it makes them crabby and makes sleep less restful when they can't breathe out their noses. They seem to be on the upside finally.
Ashley - I know... I HATE knowing that I could've known the sex of the baby for like 2+ weeks now, and I don't know!! LOL. It's killing me. And yet a bit part of me would love to go team green. I'm happy with our current plan to wait and find out on Christmas day. I want a picture of the goods, though... I just thought about that. So maybe I'll have her type "It's a ......!" on the picture of the goods and put that in our envelope or something. I haven't decided the specifics yet.
Virginia - I'd say O pain on three possible occasions is a good sign. Hopefully you'll see that temp jump soon! I like Ashley's idea of 3 boys, slightly bigger gap, then 3 girls, haha. ;)
Amanda - I love that book! I bought it for Sean for Christmas, I think it was the year before last. I just read it to them recently at bedtime. :)
AFM - So ready for a day off work. This week hasn't been bad at all, but the commute gets to be a bit much. I am SO ready to sell this house and get out. I wish I just had a week to pack and put things into storage and get some things fixed up/repainted. I won't have any vacations before maternity leave, though, so I really just need to buckle down and find the time. *Sigh* I just told DH all I want for Christmas is to sell this house, and he scoffed at me because it's not happening. So I told him all I want for Valentine's Day is a for-sale sign in the yard. He said that sounds more doable. Of course I have this nightmare of selling the house like a WEEK before the baby is due and being essentially homeless, OMG. Yikes. Sadly, that would be a dream come true, because the real nightmare would be if it took a year or more to sell this house (quite possible). Ugh...
Ashley - Sorry your DH is so set on finding out, you have a child of each gender so it's not like you aren't prepared for whatever you have. Is there any special occasion coming up after your ultrasound? Your DH could reveal it in a special way to you.
Katie - I have a flexable work place so kids being sick was never a concern, but I could imagine it would be difficult if my work wasn't so flexable. Hope everyone is better soon.
Working today, need to FOCUS. Try and give a bigger update later.
