Amanda - It sucks that Natalie is sick. I hope she feels better soon and it avoids the rest of you. I hate, hate, hate it when my kids are sick.
AFM - My schedule changes have officially been approved! It starts december 1st, we'll work every other weekend, but I won't have to work more than 6 days in a row, and we'll alternate nights and days each week, so no more staying till 10pm and having to be back right at 8am. Yay! Perfect!
ETA: Hahaha, I can't resist posting about this. My dad has a relative... To be honest, I don't even know exactly how we're related. I think she's like my grandma's cousin's kid or something, no idea... Pretty distant. I see them once every few years if I make it to the family Christmas party/reunion on that side of the family. Well, she had friended me on facebook at some point. She and I are like POLAR opposites in our beliefs in politics and religion. I just generally ignore her, but she CAN'T ignore me. Well, I posted something that rubbed her the wrong way, and she sent this 4-paragraph private message to me on fb, LOL. My DH wanted me to ignore it, but I can't ignore it! So I decided the best method would be to keep my response concise and polite with a little undertone of *b itchy*... HAH. Here's my response:
She had congratulated me on the baby at the end, hence that part.Quote:
We can certainly agree to disagree. That's why America is great... We all get the opportunities to cast our votes and we each have the right to speak freely. Thank you for the congrats. We're looking forward to May. :)
It's just annoying to me, because as a rule, I don't respond to my friends' posts that I disagree with. There are plenty, believe me... I just ignore them. I have a few very good friends that I'm on the opposite ends of the spectrum with, and we can speak civilly to each other, ya know? I would never consider it an option to confront someone in such a manner and try to force my beliefs on them. Crazy...
