Sorry Virginia. :( That really sucks...
Sorry to hear Virginia, I promise I'm not going to be sharing any pregnancy news of my own.
So I've been trying to talk DH into going back to the place we went last time for Calvin's early gender scan. He was all hesitant, then I mentioned it yesterday, and he was all about it (lol... men). Anyway, so I called the place and tried to schedule a time, but no one answered. They have an answering machine or voicemail or something, so I left a message, but no one has returned my call. They advertise really long hours on their website, like 9am to 10pm, but I'm thinking maybe they don't really stay open that late if they don't have appointments booked? I seem to remember having to leave a message for them to call me back last time, and they called the next day. So maybe someone will call today? It was so much fun... I want to do it again! They let us watch in 3D and gave us some pictures of that, even though we didn't pay for it... So that was neat.
Glad to hear your DH is willing to get the early U/S, so exciting. Maybe they go on a skeleton staff at night so answering the phones is a bit more difficult.
Hope you get it scheduled Mary. Sounds like fun! My DH would never go for paying out of pocket just to look at the baby, but then again, the whole pregnancy thing doesn't really excite him. I've tried talking names with him a bit already and he just doesn't have a lot of input yet and probably won't until I'm hugely fat and we NEED to pick a name LOL. I know he's still really set on the boy name we didn't use last time (Corbin) so I'll probably let him use it if the baby's a boy. For a girl though, I have no idea. We generally agree on girls names though so hopefully we can decide on something at some point. I'm still leaning towards being team green this time so we may have to come up with two names (if he doesn't beg to find out the gender that is).
I have a dr appointment tomorrow and crossing my fingers we'll get to see the baby again. I've gained close to 3 lbs since my last appointment 3 weeks ago so LOL we'll see what he has to say about that!
Ashley - Don't even get me started on weight gain. I don't know my exact number, but it's shameful. I'm embarrassed to go to my appointment. Woe is me. I have to eat constantly, though, or I get extremely shaky, dizzy, and nauseated. *Sigh*
I've tried to think of names here and there, but I refuse to put much thought into it until we know male/female.
Ashley - Hope you get to peek at baby today. DH and I both times had no issues with boys names but couldn't think of girls names easily, and go figure we had girls.
Natalie Rose and Dana Nicole are my girls names. I also liked Marian and Alexis for girls.
These are the names I had picked out for boys for both kids.
Liam
Owen
Juilan
Christopher
Mary - Have you tried using hard candy to calm the nausea?
*AFM*
I'm pretty stressed about Christmas this year, more just the money that ends up spent. Anyone have hints on easy to make inexpensive Christmas gifts?
My aunt is getting my parents a Tassimo brewer (like a Keurig), so I was thinking of making them a basket with some cookies, some mugs and of course cups for the brewer.
Not even sure what to get my sister and her spouse, the only thing they are into right now is racing RC cars and it seems to take priority over family events, that really ticks me off, so no way on this planet (or any other for that matter) will I get her stuff for that.
And I have the usual trouble thinking up stuff for aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Good thing is that we already told DH's side we aren't doing gifts for adults this year, we also aren't expecting anything. That sort of thing doesn't fly with my side. :(
Funny you should mention hard candy. I haven't used it just because I haven't had any, and I never think about it until I want it. But there have been several times where I thought to myself, "I think I'd feel better if I had a hard candy to suck on..." I need to buy some when I'm at work. Or more fun... Maybe I could try making some of that Christmas hard tack candy. I've never made it, but I love it when other people do, and I'll bet Sean would like it (AND be not allergic to it).
I'm considering calling the u/s place this morning to see if we can get an appointment for the early gender scan, but part of me feels like I should just wait. I don't know, for some reason I just feel like waiting. I'd like to do team green, but DH won't have it.
