Greda: $5 an hour is an awesome raise so I can see the issue with trying to leave. But on the flip side, it would be so hard to be alone with the kids so much. Hope he is able to find something that pays well closer!!
Lauren: (((OLV))) So excited for you!
Katie: WOOHOO Rory! That is a big deal in my book.
Amanda: LOL at the "mom/mummy" reference. Sorry Natalie was so tired at dinner. BTDT.
I was chewing gum yesterday and suddenly it was super repulsive and had to spit it out. Maybe the beginning of m/s? I hope not although I do like the reassurance that something is working. Coffee is still doing okay...can't remember when I started hating it the other times. That would be great for my sanity if that aversion never hit! Found some random things sitting around the garage that we've never used, threw them up on Ebay and they sold! I love getting money for junk I would've thrown away!!
Katie - Yay another good night! I say have yourself a treat, any excuse for a latte, though I don't like coffee ones so I go for teas.
Apollo is a mix of Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog) and Border Collie, funny thing is he is only 1/4 Border Collie and he seems to have picked up alot of the traits.
Lauren - Hoping baby lets you know what gender, update us as soon as you have a moment, though I am sure you will on facebook.
Greda - Yay for a date night, I haven't seen either of the Taken movies but want to. I love rollercoasters but can't do most of them any more cause of my neck problems, I am fine with the heart line ones because they are smoother but that's about it.
Ashley - I had next to no aversions with Dana, though I had awful "morning" sickness, with Natalie the aversions were pretty bad. Natalie the aversions were terrible and the "morning" sickness was minimal. Pregnancies can be very different. Glad your aversions have been minimal so far. Yay for the sales on E-bay.
Had two crappy days with this cold though today seems better. Hope it goes away quick since we have DH's family coming for dinner Saturday.
Because Nat went to bed early and didn't go pee she got up super early (5am) to use the washroom, thankfully she went back to bed and slept till about 9 am. She's much more cheerful today.
With Nat being in a good mood and the cold being a bit better I have had a chance to take it easy today, hoping that will help this kick the cold.
It's a.................. BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or most likely, anyway. Seriously... I kid you not, it's just like when I was pregnant with Xander and couldn't get a 100% answer. So baby was not the most cooperative and had his legs semi-crossed the entire time and wouldn't move. We saw the scrotum and even I could tell it was a scrotum, I mean I've seen one enough times over the last 3 years that I know what it looks like. But since his legs were crossed we never actually saw the penis. But she seemed pretty dang sure and said it'd have to be one hell of a swollen vagina for it to be a girl (and that's not very common while the baby is still inside). SO I'm going to go ahead and start calling "it" a "he" from now on. And if he comes out a she, oh well. I'll just laugh about it like when Xander came out a boy. We already have our girl name picked out, so it's not like we have to do any extra work picking a girl name. I'll just make sure I pack a "just in case" outfit for the hospital. Otherwise, I'll focus on this baby being a boy and will wash all of the adorable little boy clothes I already have. EEK!
Congrats on the U/S. Is Xander excited that it's "most likely" a boy?
Just copying what I put on Facebook.
The % of error when they say boy is lower than when they say girl, so it likely is correct.
My BIL is gluten intolerant and loves pumpkin pie, so I converted my pumpkin cookies to a gluten free version, right now they look good (though flatter than the normal ones) but not going to try one till after dinner so I won't spoil Natalie's appetite.
Congrats on another little guy! :yahoo: You make such adorable boys that the world needed at least one more!
Hi girls. Just want you to know I've been reading everything.. Just too exhausted and nauseated to type much. This week has been very long with the new long commute to work and getting comfortable with a new place, new coworkers, etc. Life without zofran sucks. I think I'm going to take 1/2 of a pill. I did that the other night after the constipation situation ceased because I couldn't sleep through the nausea, and it did help enough that I could sleep. Although... You know... If I look in the cupboard, I might have some phenergan. I could take some of that, and it doesn't constipate me. Ugh, is it 2nd trimester yet? Monday is my first OB appointment... I really, really want an u/s. I *should* get one, but if I don't, I might cry.
Lauren - WAHOO! 2 boys are so much fun. Congrats! 28 weeks - impossible! Pregnancy flies when it's someone else LOL
Mary - Sorry it's been such a tiring week. That's hard! You're heading to 2nd tri though hopefully it gets better!
Ashley - I love the Dane pics on FB he is so adorable! GL fending off m/s!
Amanda - Your pop really looks like a smooth coated collie, SO cute! Hope the cookies came out well
AFM - 3 straight nights of sleep. I might just start believing we've turned the corner! He went 8:30-7:15 straight last night. No crying, no waking nothing! I guess he was just finally ready ? I shouldn't question, just be happy! In other news my college roommate is preggo with #3 her first 2 are girls and she REALLY wanted a boy and it is a baby boy. It isn't helping my baby fever. Anyone have any exciting weekend plans? If the weather is OK we may try to hit a pumpkin patch
Katie - :woohoo: yay for good sleep! That's awesome.
Lauren - yay for a probably boy! exciting.
Mary - I know how you feel, Believe me. I felt like that for a bit even through all the zofran. If you have the phenegran, try it. Or ask the doc for some. Whatever works. I really hope you get an u/s at your appointment. I'm curious, where's your fundus at this point? Are you still thinking maybe twins or one but probably girl?
AFM: temps look good, but my optimism is gone. Not sure why. I'll test sometime this weekend. I should have a clear answer by Tuesday at the latest, based on my history of early BFPs (I've always had one by/on 10dpo).
Virginia - Good luck this cycle. Don't lose hope already! You're quite the fertile myrtle, so you never know. I'm sure if it didn't happen this cycle, it won't take long. :) I don't think it's twins for me. When I found the hb on the doppler, I only found one. I can still feel my fundus, but it's not much higher than where it was when I originally felt it, so it must have just popped up there quickly for some reason, haha. As for gender... No guess either way at this point. The pregnancy more closely resembles my pregnancy with Sean so far (which is a good thing as I always felt like his pregnancy was picture perfect). I had two polar opposite pregnancies and ended up with two boys, though, so I have no inclination either way as far as gender goes, haha. ;)
Katie - I'm sooooo jealous of your good sleep. The only time I sleep well is if DH sleeps on the couch with Calvin (which he did last night because Calvin busted his mouth pretty good yesterday and has a HUGE bottom lip... poor guy). So he was in pain and ultra-fussy with that.
