October Chat Thread!

Happy October! This is probably my favorite month. I love the beginning of fall, the changing of the leaves, and normally I LOVE all the delicious pumpkin and apple-flavored treats, but I don't think I'm going to be able to stomach them this year. Booo!

ETA: I just heard from my mom, and my dad's surgery for his herniated disc is on Friday at noon. It can't come soon enough! I've never seen the man so miserable, and I thought he was pretty darn miserable when he tore his ACL and had to have knee surgery. The man needs to stop injuring himself. Although, he has no clue what caused this one. The doctors told him that a herniated disc as bad as his is almost always due to some trauma, but my dad can't really link it to any specific incident. Crazy...

Amanda - :bighug: sorry your MIL is such a pain.

Ashley - great lines!

Grenet - I can't believe they're almost two, either! Wow. I hope they keep feeling better.

Lauren - I hope your dog is okay. How old is he?

Mary - I hope your dad's surgery goes smoothly.

AFM: no progress towards O. I hope by the end of this month I've at least managed that. A BFP would be nice, too.

Lovely. I'm bleeding again. It's no more than light (yet) but it's red. Yet my cervix is still HSO and my ovaries still hurt. At least, it feels exactly like my ovaries hurting. And I had EWCM this morning. I am so stumped. If it continues I'm going to call and see about having and u/s done.

Virginia - Ugh, that is incredibly frustrating. I really hope it all gets sorted out soon. I know how miserable it is to be stuck in limbo.

Ashley - I love the new pee-stick pic! Woohoo!

Amanda - Sorry your MIL is so difficult to deal with. Why would she yell at the niece just for talking to you?? wtf?

Grenet - Good to hear from you! I can't believe your babies are almost 2! Time flies, wow. Sorry everyone has been sick. I hope they feel well soon.

Lauren - Good luck with your dog... I hope no surgery is needed.

AFM - My initial appointment with the nurse is tomorrow. I wish I could say something magic to get her to send me for an ultrasound, but I don't think she will. She did with Calvin, but only for dating purposes since I didn't have an AF after the m/c. Ahh, I still remember that moment when he popped onto the screen. I didn't see the little flash of his heartbeat for a slight second, but then there it was... I was straining to choke back the tears, haha. I'd love a peek of this bean, but not expecting much. Oh well, two more weeks isn't a TERRIBLE wait, I suppose.

Virginia - Hope the bleeding stops soon and you can get on with TTC.

Mary - Hope your appointment goes really well, I am sure the two weeks until the U/S will fly by.

*AFM*

Messaged MIL privately on facebook, shes not mad at me for talking to DH's niece but mad at DH's niece over something else. Still MIL does bother me but not over that. YAY!

Natalie is having an absolutely wonderful time with her swimming lessons, today they had life preservers on, she got flipped on her back while the teacher was with another kid and couldn't get back upright, at first there was a moment of panic then she realized that if kicked she could swim around the pool and have a good time even though she was stuck on her back.

Alright off to bed for me I'm EXHAUSTED!

okay... so the bleeding stopped as abruptly as it started and today my OPK is a little darker... this is so weird. I don't think I'm very likely to get pregnant this cycle, but we'll still try.

Grenet: great to hear from you! I love your kids pics on FB Smile

Lauren: good vibes for your dog :vibes: My poor dog sort of gets pushed to the side a lot, but a few months ago we thought he was really sick and suddenly I was completely stressed about him again.

Virginia: weird about the bleeding. Crossing my fingers that things get back to normal for you soon, I'm sure this is pretty stressful not knowing.

Mary: Best of luck to your dad!! October is my fave too but probably because it's Halloween and my b-day. I'll send you magic u/s vibes so just maybe you'll get a sneak peek!

Amanda: sorry about the MIL. That's great that Natalie is in swimming lessons. I REALLY need to get Brekke is some but I've been trying to wait for the preschool shock to wear off.

DH gets home tonight from his work trip. As much as I hate him being gone, for whatever reason I'm like 200% more productive when he leaves. Probably partially because I stay up until midnight doing stuff whereas DH likes to go to bed at like 10 (he does wake up at 5 though so I can't get too annoyed). Anyway, I got a lot done and am sooooo close to done with refinishing that bed I've been working on. I'll post pics as soon as I finish.

Virginia - sorry about the bleeding. My guess would be that it's related to that chunk of tissue you lost...

Mary - good luck trying to get a sneak peak! And I'm glad your dad was able to get in for his surgery so soon!

Amanda - Xander loves swim class, too! I can't believe what a great little swimmer he has become. I'm glad Natalie was able to have fun instead of panic when she got flipped on her back.

Ash - I hope you're taking before/after pics of the bed. I want to see what you did!

AFM - The vet thinks that most likely Brodie has a luxating patella, which is when the knee cap pops out of place. It usually goes back in on its own, but sometimes it gets stuck and then the surrounding tissue swells and it can't move back. So she put him on anti-inflammatory meds to reduce the swelling so that it'll hopefully go back on its own. He has a recheck next week. If it hasn't gone back on its own then he may need surgery... So here's hoping it rights itself! Until then no walks for the poor guy. He just doesn't understand when I take Zuul out for a walk and he has to stay home. He probably thinks he's being punished or something.

So I can't believe I'm almost third tri!!! EEK! My uterus feels really high all of the sudden, like I can feel it in my lungs now. Yippie. My balance has pretty much gone to crap. Also, I've been super scatter brained. Like all of the sudden I can't focus on more than one task at a time. Today Xander was asking me 20 BILLION questions while we were driving and I kept putting my turn signals on for NO reason when I'd try to listen to him/answer him! WTH!? The guy driving behind me probably thought I was insane! I finally just had to start tuning Xander out and not answering him, because I was afraid I'd drive off a freakin' cliff or something! lol

Also, I love that Xander's ticker says he's 3 years old. Uh... Not for a few more weeks. haha.

Lauren: I saw your belly pic on FB. Xander looked so grown up in the background! Is he tall for his age? Sorry about the doggie.

Virginia- I'm sure that has to be very tiring and confusing. Hope your body starts figuring it out soon.

Amanda- The swimming lessons sound fun.

Mary - I hope your dad's surgery goes well! How'd the apt go?

Virginia - weird on the bleeding....GL anyway!

Ashley - I'm more productive when DH is away too. Not sure why but I am

Amanda - glad swim went well, that's fun!

Hi Molly! How's Madison?

Lauren - I can't believe how fast your pregnancy has seemed! Crazy!

AFM - Nothing too exciting. I still have crazy baby fever but I don't think it will be a problem to wait until next summer to get preg. I have my sister's wedding and I don't want to be HUGE and prego in Sept for it at all. So I'm thinking summer time - June, July, Aug I can start JLIH. If I'm a bit preg that's fine but not ready to pop. So that's my goal....June 2013 start JLIH LOL Today....my plan might change tomorrow

Hi peeps. I just got home from work and have to be back to work first thing in the AM, so this is just a short post to let you all know I did NOT get an u/s today, boooo. Sad I didn't push it because DH stayed home to watch the kids, so I'll just make sure he's with me on the 15th for my real appointment. It was just the standard "what to eat, what meds are safe, etc" appointment, they drew like 8+ vials of blood and made me pee in a cup. Fun times. I feel like death today even through the zofran. It would probably be wise to ask for 8mg, but it makes me so freaking constipated. Blah. My m/s seemed to peak around 9 weeks with Sean... I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow, so I'm hoping for it to peak soon and then start on the downhill slide (please!). One day at a time, I suppose...

Katie: sounds like a good plan! I don't blame you not wanting to be ginormously preggo for her wedding.

Lauren: I totally do that when Brekke talks to me sometimes (not necessarily the blinker, but stupid things like stopping at green lights). I've been trying really hard to focus on my driving first and her second. They just get so darn chatty. Sorry about your poor doggie. Hope it resolves itself.

Mary: sorry no u/s and that you're still so nauseated and miserable Sad I wish I had suggestions, but I really don't. Hang in there :bighug:

In the amount of time it took to write this, Dane has drained about 3 oz of milk out of his sippy onto my couch. Thank goodness for leather. He's such a little troublemaker! I think I probably ought to call and set an appointment with my OB. I know he won't see me until towards the end of the month so I'm just not getting too excited about it. Think I'm going to take the kids swimming this morning. Hope my in-laws don't have their water temp turned way down.

Virginia - Sending lots of pregnancy vibes.

Ashley - Yay for DH being home! Can't wait to see whatyou did to the bed. O.o sounds like you are in for a world of trouble with Dane, not even two and getting into trouble. So far with Natalie three has been the worst, though as she approaches 4 things are really improving.

Lauren - Hope your pup gets better and doesn't require surgery. Yay on almost being at thrid trimester Biggrin

Mary - Hope you are feeling better today, never did like all the early pregnancy tests.

*AFM*

Stayed up too late last night now I am exhausted. Have quite a bit of work to do in the office today should probably focus on that.

Can I have a different MIL, I totally forgot when complaining about other stuff in regards to her, another thing she on when we went to her house.

My MIL invited her boyfriend (whom we only met once) over to our place for thanksgiving without even asking us if it was alright. Is it just me or is that just plain rude of her?

Amanda - I guess that depends... How long have they been dating? You may have only met him once, but if they've been dating for quite awhile then I don't think it's unreasonable to invite him without asking first. I still think it would've been nice of her to ask, or at least mention it, first - but maybe she just didn't think it was an issue or that you just assumed. Now, if they've been dating like a month or something then yeah, a little rude. Still, she really just may not have thought it would be an issue. I highly doubt she was doing it to upset you or anything.

Mary - bummer you didn't get an u/s. That first appt is always sort of a let down because you can't hear the hb yet and really they're just stealing your blood and telling you not to get drunk. lol

Ash - sounds like you have a little trouble maker on your hands! hee hee

Molly - I can't believe how old Madison is already!

AFM - not a whole lot different going on since yesterday... I really need to clean my house, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I mean, I cleaned the kitchen and did four loads of laundry, so it's not like I've done nothing. But the dusting, windexing, bathrooms, and UGH floors! I HATE FLOORS!

Amanda - Your MIL sounds like quite a treat, haha. It would've been considerate of her to actually ask you if he could come if TG is at your place.

Lauren - I'm jealous of your cleaning. My house is a disaster. I have no energy to deal with it, I can't tolerate the smells of cleaners, I want to vomit just laying here. Blah.

Molly - We need new pics of Madison!

Ashley - Making the first appointment is so exciting and yet disappointing at the same time, LOL. You're all excited because you want to get started with the fun prego appointments, but then it's like a month before you even get in. Blah. I want my u/s already. 12 more days, I think I can, I think I can....

AFM - OMG, my nausea gets worse by the day. The 4mg zofran really is not keeping it at bay as well as it was. I started out only taking it once a day, then twice a day for a while, now I'm hitting 3 times a day. Blah, blah, blah.

Mary - sorry no U/S but hey visit 1 over, you're at 8 weeks, you feel plenty sick I think that little bean is snuggled in :)\

Lauren - totally jealous too. My house is a circus right now

Amanda - ugh to the MIL sometimes family is a PITA!

Molly - Glad she's doing well!

DH has the next 2 days off. We were supposed to do pics tomorrow but it's going to rain so fingers crossed for Friday. Maybe I'll get some cleaning in while DH is home. I have laundry coming out my ears. The down side of jeans and heavier clothing - the laundry is so much bulkier!

Mary - sorry you're still feeling gross. You should totally go up to 8mg. I was on it 8mg every 4 hours and just made sure I got a ton of fiber.

Amanda - Your MIL makes me very thankful for the MIL I have.

AFM: I'm exhausted. DH is super busy at work this week and has been coming home late. I felt like an idiot Tuesday staying up until he got home (at almost midnight) just to BD. I could have gone to bed at 8:30! But... I felt less like an idiot yesterday when I finally got a +OPK. And today it's blazing. Biggrin

Mary - So sorry you have so much nausea. Maybe you have it worst this time cause its a girl...:)..people say girls give more morning sickness than boys...With Darian I had nausea, but never :puke2:. With the twins it was just horrible, I :puke2: everyday until I had 24 weeks. Hope it gets better for you!

Lauren - Darian drives me nuts in the car asking me things too. If not are the twins fighting for something..hehehe! By the way i saw your fb picture and you look great!

Amanda - I'm so sorry about your MIL. I have to deal with a similar MIL.

Virginia - Yaayy on the + OPK and bd on time! Smile

AFM = Took kids to the appointment to their new pediatrician, and honestly I don't like her. I showed her the video of Brian sleeping having the involuntary movements and she didn't know what to tell me. Thankfully Brian hasn't had anymore involuntary movements. I don't like doctors here, I think they are more for the money than anything else. Also she told me to get a management class for the kids  I mean kids were like crazy that day, but she wanted me to control them while I was with one of them for her to check them up, and anyway who tells that to a patient! So looking for a new ped now.

In the other hand, so excited DH is coming tomorrow for three days again, and once again we are having a date (ALONE) hehehe! It's good to have a relaxed time from time to time. Wink

Grenet - yay for a date alone!

AFM: haven't Oed yet. Ovaries still ache. yes, both of them. I rarely get pain in the left at all (but know I O there sometimes), but almost always have it on the right. Maybe I'm just Oing on the left.

Virginia: woohoo for the + OPK Yahoo

Grenet: enjoy your date. Sorry about the pedi...doesn't sound like she has the best bedside manners.

Mary: I was definitely more nauseous with my DD than my DS so maybe everyone's theories are right...;)

Katie: GL with pictures. We are doing them in 2 weeks. Blah.

Okay I'm an idiot. We're sitting here playing and I suddenly realize I completely spaced taking DD to gymnastics a half hour ago. Seriously, I talked to 2 people about it today so it isn't like I got the day wrong or something. Oops.

Honestly, I'm scared to ever have a girl if the nausea is worse. I can't take any worse! But, my mom said her was the worst with my brother, not with any of the girls. So... who knows.

Grenet - How rude of your pediatrician to say that?? They're KIDS... You'd think a pediatrician would know that, lol. I'm excited to get a new one whenever we move. I've never really loved mine. I just don't dislike her enough to bother switching when I know we won't be living here too much longer. Woohoo for a date night! Sounds like fun.

Virginia - YAY! Finally some fertile signs! How exciting to have O-pains on BOTH sides... Maybe you will catch two eggs?? Hahaha. Wink

Ashley - LOL at your mommy brain moment. Or is it prego brain moment?! Or both! It sounds like something I'd do.

Katie - Good luck with the pics!

AFM - It's funny, I'm not sure how the nausea compares between this pregnancy and Sean's. With Sean, I was SUPER strict with myself about not medicating, especially during the first trimester. I was sick like DEATH all the time. This time, I still feel sick like death all the time, but I'm still mildly functional because I'm taking zofran, pepcid, and B6 around the clock. I don't really buy into the whole boy/girl thing since I was horribly nauseated for Sean and barely nauseated at all with Calvin. I am anxious to see if this bean is of the male or female variety though. At this point, I honestly don't care. I feel like they're making me wait sooooo long for an ultrasound that I'll just be so happy if I see a little heartbeat on the 15th that nothing else matters.

Mary: honestly I don't believe most of the gender things either. I don't see how it would really make a difference. But since I only have one of each so far that is my only comparison lol. That reminds me when I was pg with DD, I got a pedicure my last month and the nice Chinese ladies kept telling me I was definitely having a boy because of how I was carrying. I won't lie, I was a little nervous for a few weeks.

Virginia: stalking your chart today... I was wondering, when did you talk to Raymond when you were pg with Oliver? We're afraid my DD will tell everyone so we haven't said anything to her.

Oh the joys of school. Brekke seems to have brought us home another head cold. Usually I can avoid her sicknesses but of course being newly preggers I had to pick this up! I've gotten a head cold every pregnancy in the first 2 months! Ugh.

Virginia - Yay for a + OPK and getting the BDing in. Both ovaries hurting maybe it will be twin girls if you get pregnant this cycle... Biggrin

Greda - Can't believe how rude your pediatrician was, she'd have gotten a few not so nice words from me.

Ashley - Ack on missing the gymnastics, I've done that a few times in the past on poor Dana, thankfully I haven't missed anything with Natalie yet, she wouldn't let me forget it if I did. She still remembers the time I tried to put her in the bath with socks on, brings it up once in a while.

Hope the cold clears up quick, everyone around me seems to be getting a nasty head cold, I somehow didn't get hit as bad as everyone else.

Mary - Your nausea sounds like mine with Dana, I got hit bad with both the girls, though it was easier with Natalie.

*AFM*

My day started off horrible!

I was awakened by Sadie about to be ill (her stomach is touchy), I thankfully got her outside just in time.

After that Apollo decided to pee on the floor, but instead of staying put as it was happening he decided he needed out, leaving a trail of pee for me to clean up.

As I am getting my spray bottle of vinegar water from the basement to help clean it up I noticed Silver left poop and pee on the floor in the basement, another mess to clean up.

After spending a while cleaning up messes I got off to work, which is good for Apollo and Silver's well being cause I was ready to kill them both.

I'm at work and I'm tired, my time in the office will be a little shorter than usual cause Natalie's school has a thanksgiving potluck at a farm tonight, though I am looking forward to the event it is going to make for a long day.

I have a question for everyone, what are you doing for Halloween, do you have costumes picked out for the kids (or have they picked theirs?).

Natalie and I are going Trick or Treating, Dana has decided she wants to stay home and hand out candy. Natalie hasn't really decided what she wants to be, because she wants to be everything.

Greda - you'd think a pedi would be a bit more understanding, jeesh! I just have 2 and I feel out of control sometimes when I'm alone with both! Glad your DH will be around!!

Mary - Sorry your Dad's surgery was pushed today (FB) I hope you're feeling better and it goes well for him!

Virginia - I hope your body gets moving! And of course that you catch the egg!

Ashley - I hate when I forget sstuff like that. I'm waiting for the fall/winter colds to start here, sigh.

AFM - we did pics today! I think we got some cute ones of just the kids. We did group shots with dogs and I think the best we did still had 1 dog facing backwards but it was still generally good especially since Evan was cranky by then and the dogs were all excited. So it was good. And the photog is cheap so no big deal if I don't love them all. It is a BEAUTIFUL day here 70s in Oct, wild, I feel like I should go outside and soak it up

Katie is the photographer good enough that they can do a photo swap? So the dog is facing the camera in the good shot of everyone? With the amount of dogs you have I am impressed only one is looking away, we had trouble just getting Sadie to look at the camera in the Santa photo last year.

Katie - hope you got some good pics!

Mary - I hope your dads surgery goes smoothly today. Sorry about all the nausea.

Amanda - yeah if they've been dating for less than a month I'd be ticked off, too! It'd be one thing if they were long-term, but that is completely different. Sorry about all the messes - I had a similar experience with my dog this morning.... Fun times.

Ash - omg that is totally something I'd do! Sorry Brekke missed out on gymnastics.

Virginia - Yay for a positive OPK!!

AFM - I have another cold, yay! So far it's very mild and I'm hoping it stays that way. Xander has a runny nose, too, so hopefully his doesn't get any worse either. I'm just sick of having a drippy nose!

My dog is still holding up his leg. *sigh* He has a follow up appt on Monday and I am really hoping his knee cap pops back in before then! Poor thing...

Lauren and Ashley - Booo for colds! I hope you both feel better soon. Ashley - My immune system sucks during first tri too, and I ALWAYS get cold sores on my mouth. I had one around 5 weeks, but thankfully I haven't been more sick than that during this first tri (yet).

Amanda - I would've been ready to kill the animals, OMG. I hope Natalie's thanksgiving event was a good one!

Katie - I can't wait to see the pics! Only one dog facing the wrong way is pretty darn good, in my opinion.

AFM - My dad's surgery went okay, but afterwards, his blood pressure was staying too low (80's/50's, I think my mom said). So they ended up having him stay the night in the hospital when it was originally supposed to be an outpatient surgery. So that sucks. The last time I heard from my mom was around 6:30 this morning and his top number was up to 117 by then, so that's pretty good. They said if it stayed steady there, he'd finally be allowed to get up and walk, because he hadn't even walked yet. The worst part... He's been through surgery and has not been allowed to take pain medication because his BP is too low. So I think he's been waiting for some pain relief also.

Last night was the final day at my store. I feel bittersweet about it, but honestly, mostly sweet! Wink I loved my coworkers, but the one I probably loved the most just up and moved to Hawaii (lol), so in her place, we were training two new employees. Very nice people, but training new people sucks. It's a LOT to learn, and to train two people at once is unbearable at times. So anyway, it was a good time to get out, haha. Wink Oh, speaking of which... They got me a card with some type of gift card inside, and I haven't even opened it yet.... I should do that. I didn't want to open it at work because it made me sad, haha.

According to pregnology.com, my second trimester starts November 6th... Exactly a month from today! It can't come soon enough. Today, I don't feel nearly as nauseated. I haven't even taken any zofran. And so of course I'm a freak about it, and assume it must mean doom. My only saving grace is that I got a full night of sleep last night until 9:30am today, and then I had napped not once but TWICE by 3pm, lol.

ETA: I was nervous earlier because I didn't feel ill, but iiiiiit's baaaack! Woohoo! Hahahaha. I hate feeling like crap, but at this stage, I hate feeling good even more. Smile

Lauren - Poor pup, i hope you can avoid anything really expensive though for treatment.

Amanda - I don't know that she got any with Abby facing forward, she wasn't cooperating LOL

My mom and I went to NYC yesterday to see my sister and the play Once on Broadway. It was so good. We had tons of fun. Today I really need to clean and take care of the house, that's no fun at all LOL

Mary: hope your dad is doing well. Sorry/yay you feel like crap, I definitely know what you mean. If it is coming and going, that's a good sign though that maybe you've peaked, right? Cross my fingers for you.

Kaite: sounds like fun! I've been cleaning today too...blah.

FINALLY finished the bed I've been re-doing. DH & I are going to set it up this afternoon so I'll try to get some pics up tonight or tomorrow. I'm so beyond happy to be done with it.

Katie - Your day in NYC sounds fun!

Ashley - Can't wait to see pics of the bed!

AFM - OMG, I feel like death. I started work at my new location today. It was pretty good... I liked the store, the customers seemed more normal than my ghetto drug-seekers at my last store, so that was refreshing. The technicians were nice, as was the other pharmacist. But omg, the drive suuuuuuucks. I can't cope. I don't think it would be that terrible if I didn't feel so sick and exhausted all the time. Maybe once m/s wears off and I start feeling better, it'll be easier.

My dad came to visit me at work today, hahaha. He looked really good. He was up walking around, looked energized, had good color in his face. The first couple days after surgery were pretty rough, so I expected worse, but he looked good and said he felt good. Smile

ETA: GRRRRRREAT news!!!!!! I found a heartbeat on my doppler tonight! I've been trying for a couple days because I found it the first time I tried with Calvin, which was right at 9w0d. So I thought I might be able to find it a few days earlier this time. And I did today! It was 168-169bpm, and it was sheer bliss!! I told DH to get the video camera so he could record it, and little bean sat still under the probe for a minute, but DH took forever to get it, and the bean moved. I searched around for it for a bit, but I gave up eventually. At this point, they can move and hide a lot in there... I remember that happening a lot with Calvin. AMAZING, nonetheless. Smile

Mary: sorry about the drive but WOOOOOOHOOOO for finding a HB! I couldn't find one until 9 weeks with DS (didn't get my doppler until like 12 weeks with DD). That's so reassuring! I can't wait for that!!

Didn't quite finish getting the bed together, hopefully tonight except DH is working late. We'll see... Finally called my OB today & I have an appointment on the 24th. Between now and then we'll be out of town for half of it plus we have the bike race so it should fly by.

Katie - I've been cleaning too. I guess we all had some catching up to do! Glad you had fun with your mom and sister!

Ash - can't wait to see the bed!

Mary - horray for finding the hb!!!!!!!!!!! How fun that your dad came to see you at work. As for the drive, do you listen to music or have any books on cd? That might help the time go by. I'm sure it'll be better when you don't feel like puking the entire way, heh.

AFM - Well, poor Brodie needs surgery. *sigh* It ended up not being the luxating patella (knee cap out of place) but a ruptured ligament in his leg. Poor guy. He's not in any pain, though, so that's good. And they said it's no problem to wait til early Nov. to do the surgery, it won't get any worse or anything. We're going to our parents for a week at the end of Oct. and the dogs are coming with us, so we didn't want to have a post-surgery dog to baby the entire time, kwim? And postponing the trip is not an option. I swear, this dog is just cursed. He's had so many health problems throughout his life and it just doesn't seem fair that stuff keeps happening to him. He's 10 years old, I feel like he should get to enjoy his last few years! )c:

In much better news, I have my u/s in a few days!! Thursday cannot come soon enough! DH is gone til late Wed night, so it's just the kiddo and I here. I just got over a cold and have been super crabby about it, so I don't exactly feel like mom of the year right now. I've been so snippy with Xander and probably told him NO a billion times today. Everything he did was annoying me, I just couldn't help it. Hopefully I wake up refreshed tomorrow so we can have some fun. At least he has swim class, so he'll be super excited about that. Maybe we'll bake some cookies or something to do something different. I feel like I have to make up for my poor attitude and laziness (he got a lot of TV the last few days).

Mary - Yahoo yay for the HB! When is your u/s again?

Lauren - so exciting that you finally get you u/s!

Ashley - GL with the race.

AFM: sorry to disappear. after DH's long work week we spent the weekend just playing with the kids (and doing a little cleaning). Yesterday alone we picked 30lbs of apples, went through a corn maze, helped my parents harvest beets, squash, pumpkins, and potatoes, played in the leaves, and visited with my sister (who is recovered and now JLIH) and her new puppy!

In TTC news, the OPK was right. I Oed Friday morning. When Alex woke me up (6:15) I realized I was getting tweaks on the left. I had O pain exactly like that the cycle Oliver was conceived (left side, too). But this time I also felt a few twinges on the right side. So maybe two eggs. Who knows. It's been a weird cycle for sure. At least the spotting has vanished since O.

Mary - Glad the store is nice sorry that the drive sucks, hope you and your DH can find a place closer to your work.

Great to hear your dad is doing well now.

Yay for a heart beat.

Ashley - Great to hear you set up an OB appointment, I am sure the time will fly by with the plans you have.

Lauren - Sorry doggy needs surgery, hope it's not going to cost you too much, though they are well worth it.

We paid over $1000 to remove a fatty deposit at the base of Sadie's tail a few years back, thankfully Sadie is the only animal that has had unexpected vet bills, though she really is worth it.

Glad your cold is gone and you have an U/S soon. Still finding out the gender? Not sure if I would do it after waiting that long.

Virginia - You sound BUSY, maybe you and your sister will get preggo together, that would be neat! What sort of pup did she get?

*AFM*

Natalie's school Thanks Giving thing was awful and disorganized, it was at a local farm which is pretty large and they didn't tell us where to go and when things were happening, the food selection was poor (actually ordered pizza on the way home), we missed the only wagon ride cause we were eating when they announced it, didn't see the organizer until we were on our way out. The positives, we did get a pumpkin from the walking field even though we missed the wagon ride, and the girls enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep, everyone enjoyed my cookies probably because it was the only easy to eat treat, the girls and I each got one before they were all gone so that was a bonus.

It was Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, only had one family thing to go to since BIL had surgery last week and can't eat so we postponed until next week.

My parents hosted Thanks Giving for my side of the family (Saturday), my mom went a bit overboard with the food, as usual, but it was excellent.

My great aunt baked banana cake (specifically for me), lemon pie and coconut cream pie. She also brought the girls some clothes that she had bought which they both need so I really appreciated that.

My mom watched the girls over night after the party so DH and I went to see Looper, I'm not a fan, really can't get past the errors they made in continunity with the time travel, also felt it was a bit dull at points, lots of people like it (including my DH) so I may rewatch it when it comes out on Blu-ray when I am a bit less tired, maybe I just missed something.

DH the girls and I went to the Science Center yesterday, we have a yearly pass, it was lots of fun.

I got a cold on Sunday but it wasn't really bad until last night, this morning was really rough but I am feeling a little better now, hoping it moves quickly.

Amanda - Boooo for having a cold. Hopefully, it will be short-lived. Glad you had fun at the science center. We have a place like that near here and I LOVE to go. We've taken the boys a few times because they have nice areas designated for small kids, but they're not really big enough to appreciate most of it yet.

AFM - OMG, I have a horrible TMI post. I'm sorry. I am officially never taking zofran again (this is ironic, because I've always gone on and on about how much I love it). And I do love it, but OMG, the constipation!! It was SO BAD tonight that I thought for sure I was impacted and would have to go to the ER. I have been frenzied and desperately trying to take care of it at home because I don't have time to go to the ER, nor do I want to spend a million dollars to have a humiliating experience. I started with milk of mag and a glycerin suppository. When the suppository failed, I sent DH back to the store for a fleet enema and prune juice (he also got metamucil at the first stop). You know it's love when your husband will give you a freaking enema. OMG. But then... It failed. I FREAKED. I gave up and sat there sipping prune juice when FINALLY, it worked. I've been REALLY, REALLY struggling to get my fluids in. My diet sucks right now. I'm so nauseated and yucky feeling all the time that I'm just failing in the nutrition department. But starting now, I'm not taking the zofran no matter how ill I feel, and I'm going to take the metamucil daily in attempt to get some fiber in my diet. I'm just exhausted now.

That sounds terrible, Mary! My MW has always been amazed I tolerate it as well as I do. But, I do always need to make sure to get enough fiber (I bought the gummy kind and took a bunch each day) and drink a lot of water all the time. I also eat fruit, snack on nuts, etc. And if it got thrown off it was so hard to get back again. Is there another medicine you can take instead? Good luck. At least at 9w you should be peaking with the m/s soon.

AFM: so, I've been having what feels like RL pain the past few days. At 4-5 dpo? That's impossible, but I swear it's what it feels like.

Mary: Wow I'm so sorry! I had a horrible experience w/constipation after I had DS so I empathize big time. After the next birth, I'm asking for like 10 of those pills instead of the one they gave me. Seriously horrible. Hope you are able to find a solution so it doesn't happen again.

Virginia: I hope those RL pains turn into something!! :vibes:

Lauren: so sorry Brodie needs surgery. Poor puppy Sad But one day until your u/s!! Can't wait!

Amanda: bummer Looper sounds like a disappointment. We NEVER go see movies (like once every 2 years) so I'll be waiting for Netflix. Sounds like the thanksgiving thing was lame.

AFM: not much going on today..need to go to Costco and hopefully take the kids swimming. DD did awesome last time and was floating by herself (with a floating thing on). She is really wimpy in the water so it was a huge milestone for her. Almost told my mom about being pg last night but she's having a lot of work stress and I know this will just stress her out more (she was way stressed when I told her I was having #2 because it seemed overwhelming) so I decided I'll just wait until after the u/s. No point in telling her until I see everything is going okay.

Amanda - sorry about the cold and the school party - that's frustrating. Glad Thanksgiving was good overall though

Mary - oh you had my laughing at the you know it's love part. That's hysterical and awful Smile eat and drink lady you have a bean to cook Smile

virginia- I LOVE the sig pic! Your boys are looking so old! I hope you catch the egg, you need a baby to add to the pic!

Ashley - Hope you had fun swimming!

AFM - I feel like having a little happy dance party. Rory spent the entire night in his crib! First. Time. Ever. I put him down like I normally do at 8 and by 9 he was awake and fussing/crying but not freaking out so I let him go. I haven't been tough enough to let him CIO b/c until recently he's gone so totally hysterical I couldn't take it (like cry and hyperventilate and puke he's dramatic) but he was just kind of fussing and crying then he'd stop then start again. It went on for like an hour before silence and he was asleep! Until 2:30! I went in fed him and put him back in his crib and he was out in 5 minutes and slept until 6:30 when I got him up for daycare. Now one day doesn't make a trend but I've been working on getting him to this point FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and I'm so excited LOL I realize most parents get this at like 5 months old but whatever I'll take what I can Smile

Mary - YUCK! I hate being jammed up it was pretty bad when I was pregnant with Natalie, probably from all the Tums I was taking for the heart burn, fortuneately it always made its way out just not comfortably.

Ashley - Gald DD enjoyed herself at swimming.

Katie - Yay for sleep, hope it keeps up, every kid is different some STTN at 3 months others don't until 2 years I won't judge. Saw your new cover on Facebook I think it's great, did you have dog treats on you is that why all eye are staring at you?

*AFM*

My head HURTS!!! This cold is a nasty one, though I seem to be through the worst of it.

Dinner was a bit late today, and so Natalie was tired at the table, when we tried to get her to eat more she started screeching, I took her away and started getting her ready for bed, then we got the worst tantrum from her so far, she was screaming yelling and hitting, would not settle down. I think she was just tired cause once in PJ's and bed she was asleep instantly.

Natalie's school has started decorating for Halloween, her teacher was decorating the door, so today Natalie decided to tell me about it. "Mrs C. was decorating the door like her mom wrapped in bandages" when I thought about it I realized she heard the word Mummy and thought of a parent.

Amanda - your puppy is soooo cute! Smooth coated collie? Or smooth coated border collie? At any rate ADORABLE! If you look really closely at the hand in the air it has a red kong ball in it -- they think we're going to play fetch and are all excited. My pack LOVES to play group fetch! All 8 of my dogs are in the pic I LOVE it! It actually came out better than the forced picture Smile I can see their personalities in that one.

I'm celebrating here b/c let's face it no one else cares. Rory slept from 8:30-4:45 then from 5:15-7:30. No crying. No fighting. Slept in his crib. I have no idea if this will continue but I haven't had so much uninterrupted sleep since like 20 weeks pregnant with him! AMAZING. I could throw myself a little party LOL I just might! I may celebrate with a pumpkin latte HAHAHAHA

Katie - HORRRRRAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO happy for you! WTG Rory!

Amanda - sorry about the cold. I just got over one, I think everyone is getting sick right now. Too cute about the Mummy door. heh. Ooh, that tantrum doesn't sound like fun.

Ash - I'm glad Brekkie did good floating in the water! I've had Xander in swim since he was 7 months old and it took til like last May for him to finally get comfortable in the water. He just did not care for it until then.

Virginia - love the new picture! I hope those were RL pains you were feeling!

AFM - ULTRASOUND TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only three more hours! EEK! Everyone send ~~baby keep your legs open~~ vibes for us! haha. I'm siding a little bit more with it being a girl, but at the same time I'm just kind of not really sure. I don't have a strong feeling one way or the other, so I think I'm more-so in the I don't know category. I'm going to be just as happy either way, I just want a healthy babe in there.

We had our regular checkup yesterday. Baby is still doing good. I'm 99% sure he/she is head down, based off of the movements I feel and new pressure on my cervix. I'm going to ask at my u/s today to see if I'm right.

I'm just so excited! What a happy day!

Hello ladies!

Katie - I'm glad Rory is sleeping more! Yahoo Darian is 5 years old and sometimes he moves to my bed in the middle of the night. And the twins theyused to cry (I mean scream) for hours until they fall asleep. At the beginning I felt the worst mom ever, cause sometimes they cry for two hours. But now they sleep the whole night. And I can finally sleep. Smile

Amanda - Hope you get to feel better soon!

Ashley - Hope kids have fun at the swimming class!

Virginia - When are you planning to test? Smile I love your kids picture!

Mary - Im glad your dad is doing better!
I'm so sorry about the constipation! I had it once very bad too when I had the twins. It was so bad I thought I needed to go to ER too and DH made fun of me because of that (I hated him at the moment) hehehe!

Lauren - So sorry your dog needs surgery! Sad

Glad you are doing better!

AFM - I had the date with DH on Friday. We went to the movies and saw Taken 2 ( I liked it) then we went for a walk in downtown. On saturday we went again to Bush Gardens with the kids and some friends. I can't believe I ride the rollercoaster Sheikra. I mean I love rollercoasters but it drops on a 90 degrees. I was so scared, hehe I just close my eyes! But it was fun! here is a link of the ride from youtube Sheikra busch gardens Tampa,FL - YouTube

DH left on monday. Back to be alone with the kids! He knows says that he is going to wait until the project on Buffalo finish (december) cause they give him a raise of 5 more dollars an hour! He is now at 31 an hour and he doesn't want to let go! Cause he says that if he find another job here, that maybe pays him only 20 an hour. But I told him we can live with 20 dollars an hour for now and find something better later. We used to live with more less in Puerto Rico. But oh well. We'll see what happens!

Greda: $5 an hour is an awesome raise so I can see the issue with trying to leave. But on the flip side, it would be so hard to be alone with the kids so much. Hope he is able to find something that pays well closer!!

Lauren: (((OLV))) So excited for you!

Katie: WOOHOO Rory! That is a big deal in my book.

Amanda: LOL at the "mom/mummy" reference. Sorry Natalie was so tired at dinner. BTDT.

I was chewing gum yesterday and suddenly it was super repulsive and had to spit it out. Maybe the beginning of m/s? I hope not although I do like the reassurance that something is working. Coffee is still doing okay...can't remember when I started hating it the other times. That would be great for my sanity if that aversion never hit! Found some random things sitting around the garage that we've never used, threw them up on Ebay and they sold! I love getting money for junk I would've thrown away!!
