Mary - is the lump still there? Any chance it's a clog or something? I hope it's resolved!

We had a really fun day yesterday. We (being Evan and I) went to have lunch with 3 girlfriends from HS. 1 I hadn't seen in maybe 8 years, the other at least a year and then the third I see fairly often as she's the one with the little boy Evan's age. It was at her house so the boys could play. And they are finally at an age where they entertain each other which was awesome. We could let them play and hang out and we could sit and chat. I will definitely need to try and make it out there more often as the weather changes b/c it was nice to be able to chat and let Evan and Joey play. It's just an hour drive each way.

Today is just cleaning and TV....nothing exciting

Yeah, it's still there. Grr. I can see the lump through my skin, which freaks me out a tad. I hope it's nothing. I will say that my mom has fibrocystic breast disease and has had to have biopsies on random lumps, all of which have come back normal. They did say that I'm at more risk of having that as well, since she does, but thankfully it's harmless. I'm hoping it's nothing, but if anything, maybe it's that? I hate to even involve the doctor because it's probably nothing, but there's that little question in the back of my mind like what if I put it off, and something is wrong. Grrrr. So annoying.

Glad you had a good day with friends! We went to visit my family. My aunt has a party every Fall... She calls it her bean soup dinner, but she really makes bean soup plus chili and vegetable soup and various other foods. She gets pumpkins for the kids to carve. Yesterday, she had Halloween pinatas for the kids to beat open. It was good to see everyone and I'm always excited when I get to see my cousin's baby. She was born 9 weeks after Cal and always seems so little compared to him... It's fun watching them grow though!!

Another one of my good college friends is newly pregnant. That makes two of my good college friends newly prego! And two of my good high school friends have had babies in the last month. Ahhh!!

ETA: Was reading online about various types of breast lumps. This one most closely describes mine, but I figure I should still tell the doc.
    Breast Fibroadenomas:
What is it? This is a benign group of cells that support other kinds of cells in your breast. These are made of fibrous and glandular tissues.

What does it feel like? This will feel like a round breast lump, and can be hard or firm. It can be moved around during a breast self-exam.

Where is it? These can be located near the surface of the breast and are easily felt.

Treatment: A fibroadenoma can be removed, if needed, with a lumpectomy, a laser ablation,or cryoablation. If there is some doubt about the fibroadenoma, it can biopsied, to make sure that it is harmless.

When does it appear? Usually appears in teens and younger women. May occur during pregnancy. Not common in post-menopausal women.

Does it show up on a mammogram?
Yes. See a breast fibroadenoma on a mammogram.
