Amanda - I hate cleaning bathrooms too. Or any rooms for that matter, hahah. I need to do a deep scrub of this house before we list it for sale. NOT looking forward to that.
Katie - Woohoo for your new car! Enjoy! Glad the work situation is working out well.
AFM - Yeah, my dad has been taking percocet. He has to take it every 4 hours around the clock. It sucks. He works with a bunch of freaking idiots who have been feeding him BS stories about people's spine surgeries gone bad, so he's convinced he won't survive it or will be in chronic pain. Thankfully, he saw his regular doc today who had the same surgery himself 10 years ago and was able to give my dad reassurance. He told my dad he's 99% certain the surgery will treat it. The doc said he personally never had to take another pain pill after the surgery was done, so I'm really hoping my dad's goes just as well. My mom took the disc of his MRI pictures to one of the doctors (not sure which)... His family doc says there's a chance they'll decide to call him in early for surgery once they see how bad it is... I really hope so. Feeling so sad for him.
Mary: sorry about your dad, that would be horrible. My MIL used to have horrible lower back issues and started doing pilates about 3 years ago and it fixed it *mostly*. Hopefully his surgery will make him feel worlds better!! Happy 7 weeks :)
Amanda: GL getting the bathrooms cleaned. If it makes you feel any better, I have FIVE now that the basement is finished (although we only heavily use 3) so I feel your pain. I'll clean bathrooms any day of the week over mopping my floors though. Most dreaded task ever.
Katie: That is awesome about your new car. I've been looking a bit here and there at midsize SUVs. Does the Highlander have a 3rd row? I'm thinking it does if I remember right. I really want something that I would be able to fit 3 car seats across the middle row when that time comes but I don't want a huge SUV so who knows if that is even possible (DH has a full sized truck so we need something that gets at least decent MPG is why).
Virginia: sending you lots of O vibes!!
I'm 10 DPO and being the POAS a holic that I am, I've been taking tests since Tuesday and this morning see a definite "shadow" on my IC right around the time limit. Will probably try a FRER this afternoon. I had a few shadow lines (really squinting here) last cycle so I'm trying to not get too worked up about it. I'll update later... Anyway, DH spent the last 4 days out of town for work so I drove 4 hours to my dad & stepmom's house so they could spend some time with the kids since I hate being home alone for so long and they don't get to see my kids a ton. They had a blast and were SOOOOO good on the drive both ways. Yay!
Mary - Your poor dad I hope they call him early and it all goes smoothly.
Amanda - Sick pets are NO fun. I have 3 bathrooms too and hate cleaning them I feel your pain! SOmeday I'm hiring a maid.
Ashley - yup there's a 3rd row but it's basically in the trunk. It's not a full sized 3rd row like a minivan. You have very little trunk space with both 3rd row seats up but you can split it and put just 1 up. I didn't want a giant SUV with a full 3rd row though, maybe someday but I figured my kids wouldn't care about the smaller 3rd row if they ever use it and the 2 seats fit comfortably in the 2nd row which is nice. and now we at least have some seats if we want to take my mom somewhere etc. So far I'm getting like 20MPG it's like 19-24 I think so not horrible but not great.
Ashley - Good luck! Those "shadows" have always turned into BFP's for me!
I need to leave for work in like 15 minutes and I can't motivate myself to move off the couch. I did get my shower earlier this morning, put some PJ's on and have been sitting around ever since. I can't imagine another month or two of feeling like such horrid crap, omg. What was I thinking? Today is our 4th wedding anniversary and DH has spoiled me... Made me breakfast and lunch, and made me ginger tea. I just want to go back to sleep now. :( I wish I could have my u/s now. I think a picture of a healthy bean would give me the motivation I need to get through this stage. Still 18 days to go... Ugh. My appointment with the nurse is in 5 days, and I start work in my new location in 11 days, so hopefully those things will break up the time in between a little bit.
So another verrrrrry light line on the IC. Did a FRER and there is the faintest of faint lines. So I'm cautiously optimistic at least until we see what a FRER gives me in the morning. When I say faint, I mean I can't really get a picture to show you. So that's why I hesitate to get too excited. But I'm hopeful and slightly freaking out that I've done something insane haha ;)
A FB friend just had a baby boy yesterday, Mary and Lauren have belly pics and now Ashley you may have a BFP....you're all giving me a hint of baby fever! I took the boys over to see a friend of my gram's today (my gram died 5 years ago, her friend is 93!) and she went on and on about the boys then told me I had to have a 3rd like she did. It's not my day for will power to stop at 2 ;) Rory will probably be awake all night tonight to remind me I hardly have these 2 under control!
Mary - I am sure the surgery will go well for your dad, I think that most people only share the bad, even though I am sure there are far more successful cases.
Chasing after 2 little kids, I think those 18 days will go fast.
Ashley - Hope that line keeps getting darker. :goodluck:
Katie - Wow that would trigger some serious baby fever. I have a shower to go to in November, not sure how well I'll handle that, might just end up adopting another animal, that's what I did the last two times the fever got bad...
Didn't get as much done on the bathrooms as I hoped to, got 1.5 done, though the fully finished one is the one most publically accessable, so if we have company they use that, the one I didn't touch is in the basement and we rarely use it so it's likely just a bit dusty and not very dirty.
Took Natalie and the dogs to the park, walking there isn't so bad but trying to keep an eye on Nat and Apollo is a bit more of a challenge, more cause I don't want him peeing on the ground where the kids play, Sadie just won't do that. There is a ladder type thing leading up to one of the higher parts of the play equipment, Natalie was a bit nervous once she was near the top and wasn't sure what to do, but once I helped her out she wanted to do it again! It was her first time successfully using the ladder alone. I got Apollo to climb up the equipment and go down the slide, he LOVED it, thinking he might really enjoy agility, and be bright enough to do it, Sadie is our dumb blond learning tricks is not her strong point.
My baby is walking! OK it's just a few steps but he's not even 10 months old....I thought Evan was early on that one but apparently little brothers have to keep up! He's getting pretty darn good too. And it's not helping my baby fever LOL OK Evan just shoved Rory in the head so maybe I should keep myself in check hahaha
Amanda - I bet Apollo would do great! Agility can be a lot of fun so can some of the other events like flyball. If I had time I'd get in to that with my GSP. I did some early training but just ran out of time :( someday I imagine I'll occupy myself with stuff like that so I don't become the old lady who lived in a shoe ;)
Ashley -- TEST???
Katie: woohoo Rory! Dane walked just before 10 months too and compared to his sister walking at 14.5, they are so out of control because they don't mind you AT ALL and just take off. But also pretty nice to have them mobile at the same.
Amanda: Agility sounds like a lot of fun if you have the time to put into it. My dad has a dog that would've done great with that but they just don't have the time to work with her so she just plays catch really well haha
Definitely BFP this morning :clappy: It's not a TON darker than yesterday but I have about 15 IC's sitting in my drawer so I'll keep testing (hello, my name is Ashley and I'm a POAS addict). Here's a pic..it's hard to see but it's definitely there IRL no squinting required (sorry if it isn't showing resized...photobucket seems to be lagging today)
So I'm beyond surprised since it only took us 2 cycles this time (although I've been off BCP since the end of May...took a while for my cycle to come back). I'm in a bit of a jam though because I have that bike race in a month that I'm obviously not going to do now - I doubt pushing myself to my limits is a great idea at 7 weeks - so I need to come up with an excuse to tell our friends who are doing it too. They'll think I totally wimped out after training my butt off for the last 3 months, but only temporarily. Any suggestions? I obviously haven't talked to DH about it yet, but I think I'll just do the shortest distance (35 m) since that is easily attainable for me so I'm thinking maybe we'll just say I just wasn't able to get in enough training the last month with the kids and everything(?) so I decided to just have fun and do the shorter distance with my friend (who is doing that distance). Anyway, a small problem in the scheme of things. Just hoping my m/s hasn't hit hard by the race or I'll be in a huge trouble!
**Obviously please keep this quiet on FB if you are friends with me there :) Thanks!!**
Beautiful line!! CONGRATS! GL figuring out the race stuff. Phew your summers will be birthday-tastic for years to come :)
