Mary - yay for nausea ;) Hm twin girls....it would be crazy but fun! A coworker has a friend who just had triplets (invitro) with a 20 month old at home! Bonkers
Virginia - glad the MW is happy and I hope you have a cycle and can get back to normal! Ugh I wish someone would come clean my house. Someday I'll have a maid.
AFM - I worked today to catch up after 3 days away. It was busy but good. I forgot how low key the office is on Friday. My boss grabbed me to talk about job stuff. They are trying to figure out how to structure our department and me being PT vs FT has an impact on it. I think I could probably go FT, swing a raise and a day a week from home but I have to decide if I want to. I didn't mention that I've been keeping an eye out for other jobs lol We'll see....I get all frustrated when I think about it.
Guess what I got this morning? AF! :yahoo: I have never, ever been so happy to see her.
Virginia - Yaaaayyy!! So glad AF found you and you can have a fresh start. Woohoo!
Katie - Good luck with the work decision. The triplets + 20-mo-old thing blows my mind. Sean was 20 months when Calvin was born, so I'm trying to picture the day we brought Calvin home from the hospital PLUS two additional newborns, LMAO. They might as well just reserve my room at the loony bin.
AFM - Working today and tomorrow, and then a week off!! :) We're going to visit SIL and BIL, but it might be a shortish trip. We're going up Monday, but they both have to work on Thursday. So we'll likely leave on Thursday. Oh well, it'll be nice to get away for a few days, and the kids rarely get to see their aunt/uncle, so that'll be nice. I like to get home with a little time to rest before rushing into work anyway.
Update on me... I got the spot in the store closer to my original hometown/family!! He wasn't supposed to notify me of his decision until Monday, but I was pleasantly surprised when he called me today. It takes a load off of my shoulders since I have vacation starting Monday and I didn't want to worry about it while I was away. :D I'm excited, but nervous too... It's a lot of big changes at once... Commuting to work an hour away, trying to get a house ready to sell, then actually selling it, figuring out where the heck to live in the interim, trying to hopefully build a new house, having a new baby, OMG. Help me... What have I done to myself???
Virginia - YAYYY! Get AF out of the way and over and on to a fresh cycle and following the doctor's recommendation! Here's to a BFP in your near future!
Mary - YAYYY for you too!!! Phew that is A LOT but it's all good stuff and will probably be completely overwhelming but in the end it will be great I'm sure!
AFM we had a dinner out with no kids! Evan was great for my mom and went to bed with no problems. Rory went in to his night time rage but did eventually fall asleep with her on the couch. All in all not a bad night! We just went to a local brew pub, casual, fast and fun. Now I need to sort out what I discuss with my boss tomorrow regarding work. Sigh. I also have an HR meeting in October that is unrelated to this but is a "where do you see your career going" meeting. I think the one guy is toxic and me being his boss might create a really horrible work environment. What I really want to do there isn't a role open at the moment so I may leave it with my boss that I would be willing to be full time IF I could get that role and then review it all with HR. I was actually wondering if HR might have some cross functional training program for me. If they think there's opportunity for you to be a VP down the line sometimes they'll hold your pay and pull you from where you are and spend like a year or two rotating you throughout HQ departments. I'm afraid of being pigeon holed where I am b/c I am good at it and frankly no one else has been. I don't dislike it but I don't want to spend my whole career doing it. And all of this ignores the fact I would leave for the right opportunity if I found one! And ignores if we do or don't want a 3rd baby which I can't really decide about. I wish DH could carry one of the kids LOL
ETA - ok in Oct the gal who did pics for us last Dec is coming over to do pics of family and DOGS. Any of your photog people have suggestions for how I manage it so we get some good group shots? Or creative ideas? My husband thinks I'm NUTS but I REALLY want pics of all of us....
Katie - Good luck with those pictures!!! LOL. I have no idea how to orchestrate that... Just keep plenty of treats handy, hahaha. Good luck with the work situation... I hope you can come up with a work situation that is great for you!
AFM - Holy crap, I am WIPED OUT. I don't know what I'm going to do if this continues... Or gets worse. OMG. I passed out on the couch earlier while I was supposed to be watching the kiddos. DH was outside mowing. Thankfully, they didn't get into any trouble, ugh... It's going to really suck once I start commuting for work. I really want to cry just thinking about it. I hope we can get moved quickly, but my fear is that it won't be for quite a while because we're not really close to ready. :(
ETA: I just saw that Amber's baby girl was delivered early today d/t pre-eclampsia, only 1lb 9oz. Thinking of you, Amber!! Congrats!
Thinking of you, Amber.
Katie - Hope your meetings go well. No advice on the photos, I have trouble with coordiating 2 dogs for a photo, couldn't imagine doing it with more. Could you and DH and the kids take the lot of them out for a walk in a nice park for photos?
Mary - Even though things will be chaos I am sure everything will work out with the job, house and baby.
Amber - Keeping you and baby Bria in my thoughts.
Everyone else Hi! :wavehello:
Weekend was busy, which is normal this time of year.
Today I am just at work, it's been pretty quiet, just doing last minute stuff for an up coming convention.
Dana and Natalie are happy to be back to school. Natalie got a note that they will be going to a farm and has been asking over and over if she is going today, its happening next month.
The animals are all getting along pretty well, Apollo is still has accidents but I would say the house training is going pretty well. Not sure if I've stated this here but Apollo was 8 lbs (at 8 weeks) when we got him, last week on Tuesday (at 15 weeks) I weighed him he was over 17 lbs.
Hey everyone. Sorry I've been MIA, we've spent all but 4 days of September at the lake with little to no service. But back to normal life now ;) Anyway, I will try to get caught up on everything when I'm less sleepy but have to say CONGRATS MARY! So happy for you :)
Man, I haven't checked in here since the 14th! What's my problem?! lol
Mary - CONGRATS on the job!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I'm sure you'll be wiped out for a bit, but it'll be worth it in the end. No more loud bar behind the house soon!
Virginia - yay AF!
Katie - gl at your meeting, I hope you figure out exactly what to say to your boss.
Ash - HI!
Amanda - wow that guy sure is growing fast!
AFM - DH is off of work this week because he was maxed out on vacation, so it's been nice. Though there's no routine. It's funny how during the week Xander and I totally have this routine, but on weekends and stuff when DH is around it all goes out the window. lol. So we've just been kind of flying by the seat of our pants. But I get to sleep in on some days, so that rocks.
We're going to the zoo tomorrow, so that should be fun. Xander's been talking about it for days, he's so excited.
