Virginia - Love the belly! Glad school is getting better. I used to have a ridiculously long bus ride, probably 45 minutes if not longer... And I lived within walking distance of my school! I was glad when I hit high school and my parents finally let me walk.

Katie - Still no offer?! Good luck with taking the family down there.. I hope it goes well!

Amanda - I have considered trying gluten-free, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm dealing with other dietary restrictions also... One of my antibiotics interacts with calcium, but I have to avoid dairy within a few hours of my doses and also, I felt like I might be on the verge of thrush yesterday due to all these antibiotics, so I'm trying to avoid foods like milk that might make me more prone to that. I'm also taking probiotics for that. So basically, I'm dairy-free right now with the exception of plain unsweetened yogurt. I've cut back a lot on wheat/gluten, but not entirely yet.

AFM - The appointment was okay. I don't know.. He was a little weird, but whatever. He changed into dress pants before I came back... LOL. Anyway, I was in there almost 3 hours from start to finish... Most of that time was spent actually talking to the doctor, so I at least got my money worth, haha. He gave me three antibiotics to take in high doses. I've started two of them so far (he told me to stagger the start of them each by a few days). One of them is plaquenil, which I'm not totally enthusiastic about taking, but if it helps, then so be it. I can't tell yet if they are helping. The first few days were rough, but that's how it was the last time I took antibiotics also... A few rough days, but then noticeable improvement. So I'm hoping that's what happens this time also. He ordered me a TON of lab tests for both Lyme and autoimmune disorders. I haven't gone for the blood draws yet. I was going to today, but didn't really want to go to the lab, so I didn't.. Maybe Thursday before work. Another one is an interesting urine test that I have to do at home and then mail off. Blah.

In other news, Sean and Calvin have a full-body rash and Sean has nasal symptoms also. He's going to miss a day of preschool already, and tomorrow is only one week since he started. Not entirely surprised, but jeez... Why are kids so damn infectious?? Bah!

Mary - I hope you and the kids feel better soon!

AFM: doing fine. My hips ache like crazy, but I'm really happy that things are going fine still.
I spilled the beans on the names we're considering over on October 2013, if anyone is curious. I'm stumped.

I've had a stressful week or so getting school started. Yesterday the bus failed to stop for Raymond in the morning and I had to spend a ton of time calling people to try to figure out why. It was also really late getting him home and I got to wait in the rain for 40 minutes. Ugh. Today went smoothly for all the kids (woohoo!) but when we got back from meeting Raymond at the bus there was water pouring through the kitchen ceiling! Thankfully, I was able to turn the water off and the plumber was able to come quickly and fix it. And we don't own the darn house. I am so, so glad I wasn't gone more than a few minutes when the leak started (old corroded pipe cracked) and that it was easy to access. I keep thinking of how bad it could have been if it had broken when we were away for a few days. Or even a few hours!

Mary - I saw you got your blood draw done today, hope they figure things out and get you on the path to recovery or treatment. Hope the boys feel better soon.

Virginia - That does sound like a tough week, hope the weekend is a million times better.

    *AFM*

The girls are still enjoying school, so that is going well.

I'm pretty sure Dana has her first boyfriend even though she keeps saying they are just friends, they talk all the time. I told he as long as she is honest with, us, herself and him about things I don't have a problem with it.

My hip is still sore from when I pulled it in June, it's odd cause it will feel better for days and then flare up again, I'm not sure what is aggravating it since I've tried resting it, stretching it and using Advil on it at night (which seems to have the best results. Before I started running I used to get cramps in my calves at night on a regular basis it went away for quite a long time but that started up again this week and I haven't stopped running, wondering if this time it's related to the hip. I'm going to call my family doctors office see if I can get in and get a referral to a physiotherapist (hoping they let me pick the therapist, have one I really like) and see if I can get my hip sorted out.

    PS Virginia
I looked at your name list, hope you don't mind them here.

My order would be Zachary, Theodore, Arthur.

Amanda - GL with Dana's boyfriend! That must be a huge step for a parent. Wow.

My order on the names keeps switching. I've told DH if he wants to just choose one of the three I'd be fine with it. 35w MW appointment today. Everything looks great. We get to check on the placenta next week and then talk with a doc and figure out a plan.

ETA a rant: I am so tired of the PTO at our school already. My kid is in kindergarten. I don't really feel like paying you dues so you can put on performing arts things with the older kids. Maybe ask me again in a few years. In the meantime, stop asking and especially stop making it seem mandatory when it isn't! Oh, and stop asking me to volunteer weekly in my kids' class or take on some huge fundraising or organizational task. Maybe you have worlds of time. I'm going to have 4 kids under 6. Only one of your volunteer opportunities looked remotely interesting and you scheduled that one for my due date. Sorry. Now stop trying to make me feel guilty.
I'd block their e-mails, but 1 or 2 of the approximately 30 I receive each week is actually worth reading. Ugh. And they should stop abusing mass e-mail lists. I really hate that.

Mary - saw the fb blood draws phew!! I hope you are feeling better! And get answers

Amanda - seems crazy your kids are getting so old! What we all have to look forward to!

Virginia - ugh what the check do working parents do?! Sounds crazy! GL with the name

As for me ... I got the job!! And accepted! It feels nuts now! We are trying to find a rental that will take the dogs to avoid living apart. One is promising, in a great area short commute a full acre the house itself is large but looks a bit run down though in a super nice area. Of course my sister's wedding next week delays my ability to go down in person a week. My husband is calling back again tomorrow as we don't want to give any approval info w/o confirmation the private owner is legit (rental scams are everywhere) I have a relocation realtor in the area I sent everything to as well for another opinion. If it worked out we would all pretty much go down together which is my goal. Life is crazy right now!!

Congratulations on the job Katie!!!! How exciting!

Mary - I'm glad you started on some antibiotics and are getting lots of tests done. I hope you get results quickly. How long will you be taking all these antibiotics? That's gotta be rough on your system, but definitely worth it. kup

Virginia - I love all the names! Something tells me you're just going to *know* when he is born. Sorry about the leaky pipe... We had a lot of plumbing issues in our house before we finally replaced all of the pipes with pvc, so I feel your pain. There's nothing worse than discovering new leaks and puddles!

AFM - busy busy busy! We're still trying to find a routine since starting school, but we're getting there. He's only a total crankypants when I wake him up about 50% of the time now. haha. I started him on a new high quality vitamin with veggies and probiotics in it, in addition to the normal stuff, so I hope that does something. He's seemed sooooo run down for awhile now, even before school started. We also switched him to a twin bed instead of a toddler because he was sweating SO much that his sheets/mattress pad/pj's would be soaked through every single morning! I think the crib mattress was just too hot for him. He hasn't be drenched since we switched him, so I'm hopeful that was the problem. But it's only been a few days... Yet in those few days he has seemed more chipper in the morning, but it could be coincidence. I'm hoping with those two things that I'll see an improvement.

Virginia - Hope you get the named narrowed down, guess having 3 options is better than having none. How annoying about the school harassing you.

Katie - Congrats on the job, hope you find a place for you, your family and the dogs.

    *AFM*

First hockey thing of the season was last night for us, Dana had an evaluation skate, since she's in recreational hockey they assess all the girls and then balance the team.

We bought Natalie's equipment on Saturday, shes so tiny the shorts are HUGE on her we had to buy suspenders to hold them up. She is excited to start soon.

I cleaned Dana's gear up found out she needs a new neck guard and new pants, though I am going to see if we can just buy a shell for the pants, since gear for a 5' 6.5" person is expensive.

I had another previa check today and got some pretty good news. My previa has not clear yet. But it has moved 1cm in the past 3 weeks. It is now 1cm away at the closest and mostly 2+cm. I have one last check in 2 weeks at 38w. In the meantime, I met with an obstetrician. He has yet to go over the u/s and talk with the MFM specialist, but barring any surprises when he sees it, he is fine with me attempting a vaginal delivery (likely with an IV and possibly an epidural in place in case I hemorrhage and need an emergency c/s). I'll be talking more with him tomorrow about the plan, and we'll confirm it after the next u/s. My cervix is still 3.75cm, so nobody is particularly worried about labor any time soon. Heck, I may even go over.
Baby is estimated at 5lb14oz and they gave us a cute 3-D picture of him resting his face on his arm.

Virginia - Sweet pic, and yay for possibly getting to have a vaginal delivery!!

Katie - Congrats! How long until you move??

Amanda - Can't wait to see pics of Natalie in hockey gear.. I'll bet that's cute!

Lauren - Sean has been tired since starting school too. It's our fault... We put him in a preschool an hour from home where we want to move. Plus he has to get up at 6am anyway to get his peanut dose and have his 2 hours of rest time afterwards before school starts. omg.

AFM - My nerves are shot... Constantly. Everyone has been sick. Sean had a dose increase on his peanut yesterday, and now I can't tell if his chest congestion is from his cold or from an allergic reaction. I had to call and check on him at preschool today when I was at work because I was a nervous disaster and couldn't focus.

And me... Well, still struggling with my nervous system.. ugh. Yes, I had 29 vials of blood drawn for various autoimmune and tick-borne illnesses, and also did a lyme test (igenex) that required me to collect a sample of my FMU for 3 days and mail it off. Just anxiously awaiting results, but it might be a few weeks before I hear anything.
