what would you do? TMI

DH wants to start TTC again right away after the d&c (okay, not immediately after, probably like a week or two after ;)). I'm fine with that, as long as I'm feeling okay and my HCG has fallen (I have more cheapie HPTs in the mail). One MW said to wait 2 periods then try, the one I saw today said to just wait until after the first period (and that we could resume DTD as soon as I felt up to it). I'm inclined to just skip the BC and see what happens. Does that sound stupid? I don't like going against medical advice, but I can't find any studies or anything supporting the suggestion to wait.

My Dr told me that most women won't ovulate until they are ready. waiting is more for mental purposes. she reccomended waiting the one cycle so you know when to expect a period. Some women take awhile to return to normal. She also said if women had another loss they tend to blame themselves for not waiting.

we waited one cycle.

Evan was the cycle right after my first m/c so I'm inclined to say do whatever you want. My doc like above said waiting was more mental or so you know etc not for any huge safety of baby reason. He was no more worried about Evan's viability being the cycle directly after a m/c and I got an early u/s to date it Smile

I can't really tell you what to do, not having had a m/c before, but I've seen plenty of ladies on here that had great pregnancies after a m/c. I agree if you mentally are up for it I say go for it.

Calvin was the first egg after my m/c. I agree with the pp, that you don't ovulate again until your body is ready. I didn't ovulate until 4 weeks after my m/c, and that's when Calvin was conceived. However, I always said if I was in that situation again, I'd probably at least wait for a period before TTC again. I sorta wondered if not waiting contributed to all the bleeding I had in my pregnancy with him, but looking back, I doubt that was it. I have an u/s picture that looks like a SCH, which I'm guessing was the cause of the bleeding. And also, had it been related to the m/c at all, I would guess the bleeding would've started sooner than 9 weeks. Anyway, for my own peace of mind, I'd be inclined to at least wait for a period if it happens again, but I'm proof that you can have a healthy baby immediately after a m/c. KUP on what you decide, and good luck. Smile

I'm kind of leaning towards going for it because I've always wanted a May baby. Wink I figure the first cycle could give us late May or early June. Of course, I kind of feel I'm fated to have the next baby 6.24.13 just so I'll have 12.8, 8.12, 4.26, and 6.24. Lol

When I had the CP, the RE told us we could try on our own, but they wouldn't do the IUI that cycle.

That would be cool! Well if we both end up going for it this month, hopefully we can share a birth board. Smile I think my babies are all destined to be born on the last day of the month within the 7pm hour. Sean and Calvin both were, so it would be too funny if the next one was as well. Wink

well, I'm been reading and I think realistically it'll probably be a few months. My HCG was high, so it'll probably take a while to drop enough for me to ovulate. I guess we'll just see what happens.
