    Default After D&C - a question

I apologize if this is the wrong board to ask this - I didn't see anywhere else.

How long were you feeling physically achy after your D&C?

I have not had bad pain or cramps but I'm a bit achy and little bit crampy. The spotting has lightened up considerably and went from brown to light pink/orange only when I wipe.

Today (6th day) the cramping is getting annoying & twingy and my legs ache. My back has ached since the start.

    No fever.

Do you think it is hormone related. Emotionally I'm a disaster and I'm blaming the hormones for that too...

I'm sorry about your loss. I think it is different for each person. I only felt bad for a few days. But, your emotional stress can effect you physically. If you are worried, call your OB.

Julie - I'm so sorry for your loss!!

As for the pain, with my D&C I felt good after a few days and then it gradually got worse again and eventually I was in pain while trying to walk. Turned out I got an infection and ended up in the hospital on IV antibiotics. I suggest like missy that you check with your OB just in case.

I have had two d&cs, and I do remember feeling achy and eh for about a week or so, but I don't remember if it came and went or what. I think a lot of it was that I was so depressed as well. Hugs! It probably does not hurt to call your ob. Do you have a follow-up appt soon?

I go in on the 2nd. I'm going to wait it out. It's not bad really, just there and it's only been a week and i'm sure my uterus was huge - I always measured ahead with the other 2 so it's probably still settling. I'm pretty confident that I don't have an infection.

oh hugs sweetheart. I had that happen last time. In the shower milk dripping and it killed me. Breastfeeding is the thing I look forward to most when pregnant, it was seriously adding insult to injury. Hugs!!

Damn! Now it hurts when I pee! Of course I realize this at about 6pm after hours on a Friday. I called and the on-call nurse is going to call in something for tomorrow morning. I was worried I'd have to go into the ER or something. Hopefully it's really a UTI. It seems like one. That must be what all the achiness was.

Oh no! I hope it is a UTI (that sounds so strange to say lol) and not anything else.
