    Default Beautiful Words

I just felt really compelled to share these awesome little poems with you all:

    1. “Ring all the bells that still can ring
    Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.”

    -- Leonard Cohen

It's about giving up the pain of perfectionism, seeing that flaws actually hold beauty and purpose. I think, we just don't see these truths right away.

I am flawed. Life is flawed. If life were perfect, I wouldn't have lost my angel babies. But I did, and this poem somehow helps me accept this fact even more. No one's life is perfect. No one is without flaw. Not even those who we think have everything.

    2. "You should remember fire is love,
    You should remember ice is stone;
And love, like fire, will burn when fed
    And die when left alone."

    -- Ruth Findley-Hughes

Today I really enjoy feeling my everlasting love for my angel babies. We lost our first, Alex, on 11 Dec 2002 and my love continues to roar on -- it hasn't diminished one tiny bit, and I suspect it never will. Just naturally, without any effort at all, we utterly, completely love our angel babies -- now and always. And I think that's an incredibly beautiful thing (thought deeply tragic as our losses certainly are).

Thanks for letting me share these poems, and my thoughts, with you.

    Cheers,
    Nicole

Those poems and what you said was beautiful and healing. You are so right about if things were perfect we wouldn't lose our angels. Being imperfect is not our faults and neither is the little ones we lost. (I had to fight feeling like I was somehow a failure for loosing my angel.)
Life is not easy for anyone. It's easy to assume people have it all when they have what we want but it's just not true. Every one faces adversity. But I believe that It's not always going to be hard and eventually there will be light coming in through the cracks. I already have so much more compassion for others and I have become so much more thankful for what I do have.

This is a quote from a great man "The darkest night is before the brightest dawn"

Thank you for sharing with us.
