Could they tell? (m/c ment) **UPDATED** at end

I got my chromosome test results back on Thursday and it showed an abnormality (Full Trisomy 16). When we found out the baby had passed away... I was supposed to be 9 weeks, but the baby measured only 6weeks. When we had the u/s at 6 weeks we were able to see the heartbeat...

My question is... was it too early to tell if it was a boy or girl?

I go to the dr on Wed for my 2wk check-up and want to ask if it isn't a stupid question.

If they did testing they may or may not know. I am so very sorry for your loss.

If they did a chromosome analysis, they absolutely can tell. Whether or not they noted it is another story. But def ask the doc.

Yes, they know for sure whether it was an XX or XY. I lost my first baby to trisomy 15, 47xx. It was a baby girl. So sorry for your loss.

I have had the testing done..I agree, they can def tell. I asked for a copy of the report which noted that one of my twins was a boy.

I hope that your check up goes well. Make sure to let us know what gender, if you feel up to it. I am so very sorry for your loss.

They could tell...

It was a boy.

Thanks for all your support as always!

I'm so glad you were able to find out that you have a son.

Let us know when/if you name him.

I wish I knew whether I had a girl or a boy, but there were no remains for them to test. Sad
