    Default D&C results (m/c mentioned)

I went in for my 6 week follow up appt since my d&c. I found out the baby had a chromosomal abnormality, and I have to go see a genetic counselor. I am a little disappointed but hoping to find out some answers. I was told my likely hood of reoccurance was 30%. I have had 3 m/c's this year so yeah I am currently 3 live births and 7 miscarriages. Current statistics aren't looking good for me.

On a better note we found out our little angel was a girl and have named her Nevaeh. Im sad, but happy at the same time.

Im ttc again but hoping that if I am pregnant this month my baby won't have the same problems and is born happy, healthy and no problems.

((Hugs)) Nevaeh is such a pretty name. I hope tha the genetic counselor will bring you all the answers you need. Congrats on TTC I wish you a very short stay.

I am so very sorry about all your losses and wish you luck.
Have the done any blood work? I have APA, which is an autoimmune disorder and causes repeat m/c.

Please keep us updated on your quest! Fxed!

Can I ask how far along you were? What kind of testing are they going to do? I am currently experiencing my 2nd m/c in 6 months and am wondering if there could be some underlying reason.

    Lace,

There are a zillion reasons why someone would ahve a m/c. Most OBs start testing after the third m/c in a row. But, I may press the issue. In most cases, they start out with blood work. Mine checks thyroid, prolactin, and some autoimmune disorders.
Talk with your OB. However, please remember that nothing you did caused you to m/c.

Lace, it was my second miscarrigae this year and the baby passed just shy of 8 weeks. I had my first m/c in June and my second in September. They decided to be proactive and figure out what was going on. They are unsure what was wrong except for chromosomal abnormalities. I will KUP on the results.

I'm glad you got to find out the gender. I think it is nice to be able to know something about your little bean for sure.
