Do I really need to go to the Dr? (m/c ment)

I woke up this morning bleeding ... pretty heavy. I'm almost sure we are suffering a miscarriage again Sad and even at almost the same time as our last miscarriage... at close to 6 weeks. The last time I was able to pass the sac and baby just fine, no problems at all. Do I really need to go to the doctor for this miscarriage or just ride it out. I know some women who just let it happen or should there be a cause for concern. Thanks ladies for any advice you can give me.

I am so very sorry. With my m/c my DH called the dr right after I new I lost the baby and he told me it would be a wasted trip to go to the ER right then. However, he did want to see me ASAP on Monday morning. I lost the baby Friday night. I would say callthe doctor and let them decide. I'm sure you are fine but better safe than sorry.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't have any advice as I didn't find out about my pregnancy loss until I went in for an u/s at 11 weeks.

I am so sorry you are having to go through this again honey. I hope that it's just a bleed and that you get to keep your bean this time. Will you keep us posted?

Perhaps it would be best to call the doctor to have a scan and see what is happening?

Well I ended up going today... just got back. They are doing blood work today and tomorrow so we'll see what the results are. They put me on progesterone, folic acid, prenatal and baby aspirin for the next two days to see if any will help. I'll keep you guys updated.

How are you feeling? How's the bleeding? What's the reasoning behind the baby asprin? I've seen a few others mention it.

Did they do an ultrasound? I had a ton of bleeding when I was about six and a half weeks along (clotting, gray matter, etc). I had had two prvs miscarriages and was sure I was miscarrying again. I went in and had an e/r ultrasound and the embryo was there, heartbeat and all. I couldn't believe it! I was soooo sure I was m/c'ing again.

Well I still have my baby... so I guess the progesterone is helping but I started bleeding again the other day and they put me on 3 doses of progesterone instead of just 2 and that seems to be working too. And they seem to be a little worried about my thyroid because they put me on medicine for that too. She took me off the baby asprin because of the recent bleeding.

I'm calling this my miracle baby... still crossing our fingers, we are still so early... And thanks to all of you for your kind words and such great support. I go back on Monday to get my HCG levels checked... and back on the 31st for another ultrasound, and hopefully a heartbeat! Smile

Sorry I haven't updated in a while... I'm awfully bad at checking the internet everyday. Well my levels are going up but aren't doubling? My Dr. didn't seem to worried... should i be? My count went from 10,000 to 27,000 in a week... is that bad? A friend told me that it can vary greatly. Well we'll find out for sure on Wed. they moved my appointment up to this coming Wed instead of the 31st... I'll let you guys know what happens.

And thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers they are greatly appreciated. You ladies are sooooo wonderful!

The doubling can take as long as 4-5 days once you get up there in number..

I don't think your numbers are to far off. I think you have alot of hope that all may be perfect on your ultrasound this Wed..

Please KUP?? I am hoping your little baby is the perfect size, with a perfect little heart beat!! :bighug:

It seems like the HCG levels can vary a TON, and as long as they are still going up, it sounds like things are probably fine. If you look up the HCG charts online, they seem to vary HUGELY. I'm so glad that things are going well, and just have faith! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Awww thank you so much ladies for all the wonderful support from you!

And yes we went to the Dr. today for an ultrasound and I am indeed still very much pregnant!!! WOO HOO!!! We saw and heard the heartbeat and everything seems to be fine. I would have never imagined the bleeding that started early on would end up being a healthy pregnancy. I'm so glad that you guys and my family influenced me to just go ahead and see the Dr. after the first bleeding. I guess the progesterone and the thyroid medicine is really my baby's lifesaver.

Thanks again to all of you for your support and prayers!
