    Default I have a question m/c ment

How long does it usually take for your body to start to m/c? I found out 2 days ago that my baby had no heart beat at 9 weeks and they told me that it should be happening pretty soon.

I am still having slight pregnancy symptoms and i feel fine physicaly.

I just want it to happen really soon because knowing that my baby is still inside of me but not alive is killing me. It makes it even harder.

I really don't want to go have surgery. I would much rather let it happen naturally. I do realize if my body dosen't do it on its own i will have to have surgery.

I just feel so lost and empty right now. =(

Thanks for the advice in advance!

I am so sorry. The time it takes to completely miscarry is different for every woman. If you do not begin to miscarry on your own soon, the doctor will bring you back in for another u/s.

Although, I have heard stories of women in similar situations that did not miscarry. The baby actually made it.

I am sorry for your loss.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any advice because I had 2 d&c's with my m/c.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss. I am sure other ladies will be able to help you more.

I am very sorry you are going through this. I started bleeding and went to the ER at 13 weeks. They told me there was no heartbeat and i miscarried naturaly 2 days later. However the baby only measured 8 weeks. So technically it took 5 weeks to m/c (they diagnosed mine as a missed miscarriage), but once i started bleeding it was only 2 days. Have you already started to cramp and bleed? If so you may not be far off, of course every m/c is different.

I am so sorry for your loss, unfortunately it could take weeks- I would assume if nothing happens in the next couple days your doc will recommend a d&c. I also had a fetal demise, at 12 weeks, and my baby measured right on- I had a D&C the very next morning.
    Again I am so sorry

I'm sorry for your loss. I found out a week ago Saturday that my baby stopped growing. I started to spot the following Wednesday and Thursday and Friday - Sunday I had some heavy bleeding.

Please know that you're not alone in how you are feeling.

First off I am very sorry for your loss! We went for a u/s on 5/15 and I should have been 10wks 3days baby measured a little over 5wks so as barto9729 I was also diagnosed with a missed m/c! However when we got home I was starting to spot, I bled lightly til the morning of the 19th when the cramping and passing the large clots started! It lasted heavy like that all day and then I continued to lightly bleed for about another week and a half! So that was my experience! Hope it goes as smoothly as it possibly can! Once again I am soo sorry and please feel free to pm me if you need anything at all!! You will be in my prayers!

Amy, I am so sorry for your loss. Every situation is different.
with my loss, I was told @ 7 weeks there was no hope, and I chose to have a natural m/c. My body had actually absorbed my little one by about 9 weeks. at almost 12 weeks is when the m/c started with heavy cramping and bleeding. I bled for about 2 1/2 weeks.

However like I said , every one is different...it is very important, to make sure you don't start to run a temp, have chills etc., as this could be a sign of infection....which is what happened to me a few days after my m/c started & my quack of a dr. did not pick up on it, so I ended up in the ER !!

I am hoping that you do not have a difficult time physically...
feel free to pm if you want to.

    HUGS~~

The ladies have already given some great advice..

My experiences have all been different. With some I had D&C's...With the others, my body let go naturally. For me, this usually happened within hours or a few days of spotting. That said, typically, it should be within 2 weeks. Your doc should be keeping an eye on you.

I am so very sorry for your loss

This board is full of wonderfully supportive women...You are in good hands..

Im assuming we will discuss my options if my m/c has not startd by then. Im so glad to have a board like this with women like you to talk to! It has really helped me alot. I have never been though something like this before being this was my first pregnancy so its good to be able to talk to others that have been through it as well. I ill keep you all updated.
