Smile International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Congratulations, everybody!! Well, it's official: together we have seriously kicked some butt! We grabbed them right by the jugular and made them listen!

It all takes 'due process', but it looks like we might be officially recognizing Oct 15th in Australia from next year! Fingers crossed...

I incorporated all of your suggestions into the 3-minute speech (see link below) that my MP recently brought to the Australian Federal Parliament!!

Many of you asked to see this speech, but I had to wait to hear back from her-- to see if I could make it public. Her message (to all of us, really) is: "I hope this speech allows people to realize the importance of it all. You may use this speech anyway you like. May it bring you and many others peace. See you soon. Kind Regards, Joanna Gash."

    Go, Jo!

She spoke in the 'third person' for much of the speech, but she didn't change my words at all. I am so humbled. She has honoured all of our angel babies.

Here's the exact transcript: just scroll down to 'recent news' at http://www.pilari.org/

Thanks again for all of your wonderful support. And to the non-Aussies on this board: your Aussie 'sisters and brothers' will have you to thank too.

    Hugs,
    Nicole

AWESOME NICOLE....I read all the links that followed and the points were all perfect and clear. I (like your mother) loss a much anticipated grandchild, and this tiny soul will forever be remembered by our family.

    Nicole,

Can I just say that you rock?!?!?! I am in tears (of joy) over this. What an amazing thing that you have accomplished. You can take at least 90% of the credit for this as your drive and determination and dedication have spearheaded it all.

Way to go lady. You are da bomb!!

Thanks everyone. I am so humbled and touched by your kind words.

And thank you, Karen -- yes, everyone, please enjoy the little articles at www.pilari.org -- you can write one too, if you want to educate your doctor, etc! Let's teach them!

PILARI is a new charitable foundation, with proceeds going directly to raising awareness, research and support -- strictly for pregnancy and infant loss. Our time has come.

    Hugs,
    Nicole
