    Default Lawsuit? m/c ment

Hi there ladies, I recently had to have a 2nd d&c becasue my dr didn't get it all the 1st time. I'm ok with that, I know things happen and for whatever reason, they had to go back in. My parents on the other hand, think DH and I should sue the Dr and the hospital. I'm not so sure. I guess I'm just looking for some advice. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

    Thanks
    Heather

I'm so sorry for your loss Heather. Unless you think there was negligence involved I don't think a lawsuit is worth your energy. I was told that a second D and C is not that unusual, especially if you were a bit further along.

Unless you strongly believe there was negligance I think your energy is much better spent healing.

I did write a letter to my hospital patient grievance committee regarding the care I received, maybe that would help you without having to go through the emotional pain of a lawsuit?

Heather - this happened to me as well. Both needing the second D&C as well as my parents flying off the deep end.

Unfortunatley, it happens where two D&Cs are necessary. I don't think that alone would be grounds for a lawsuit.

Take care, hun. I'm so sorry for your loss.
