Lock of Hair (l/c ment)

Hey gals. I have a weird question. Before they closed DH in his casket, I asked the funeral home director to get me a piece of Rob's hair. It is sitting in an envelope on my desk. What should I do with it?
Do you think one of those necklaces for cremates would be appropriate?
If so, does anyone have the link to where I could buy one? I just feel like my DH's lock of hair deserves a better place than an envelope on my desk, KWIM?

*edited to add 'l/c ment' pre request even though I have no idea what it means)

That's not a wierd question! Smile

I have no idea where to get one from, but one of those necklaces sounds like a nice idea. We have a lock of Zanes hair and it's in his memory box. I'm happy to keep it there though, just cause i'd be frightened to loose it. It's so precious being the only 'biological' actual part of him we have left, iykwim?

I agree with Sarah -- I'm envious that you both have a lock of hair (with m/c's, of course, there's nothing tangible to keep).

A locket, a pretty box -- both sound like nice places to me.

I hope you'll show us a picture of the necklace / box / etc when you get it.

Hugs,
Nicole

I came up with a better idea! I am going to put it in a build-a-bear! Then I can hold it and personify it a little. Maybe even take on of his shirts and modify it to fit the bear. Then I can give it to DD when she is old enough to appreciate it.

That is an AWESOME idea!!! I love the shirt idea too. I'm sure DD will love it forever.
