    Default Misoprostol?

My baby stopped growing at 6 weeks and no heart beat. I choose the medical miscarriage and I was prescribed misoprostol. Now I am reading all horror stories about it. Has anyone taken it?

I am sorry for your loss. I have not taken it. But, remember that people always post more (-) things then they do (+). I am sure many women have taken it with no problems. Hang in there.

I took it on 2/24...normal like period for the most part, occasionally heavy. One night my dh called the emergency hotline cause I started to bleed (after a clot came) and it wouldn't stop. It did land up stopping and the doctors seemed to act like that's normal.

Just be prepared. Overall, I would do it again (it's still going on now), but that one incident scared me. I'm lucky I was at home and not out/work!

I took it for my first m/c and I had no problems at all. I inserted the pills vaginally before I went to bed. The nurse at the early pregnancy loss clinic suggested I take a couple of advil as well before I went to bed. When I woke up in the morning for my morning pee, I could feel the tissue pass. I bled for about a week - sort of like a heavy period. I would definitely choose this option again if I ever need to. Hope that helps.
