    Question More bleeding questions!

I sound like a pissed off Yorkshire man saying that! "More bleeding questions!" ::shakes fist angrily at journalists:: (image - flat cap, walking stick, lent on a stile)

    Oh dear, simple things eh!

I've started bleeding again today and quite heavy. It's not soaking through more than a pad an hour or anything. It's like a heavy period - dark red with small clots. I also have period like cramps. Not mega painful or anything, just usual 'first day of period' cramps.

So, i'm on the 12th day since having Ada and up until this morning my bleeding had got to very light brown spotting. Mainly just brown tinged mucous. Now this. Could it be a period do you reckon? Or is it because i've been a bit more active? I havent been that active. Just went to the cinema yesterday and today went to look at one shop.

What do you think? It's not worrying me enough to ring a doctor, i just wondered whether you think it's possible it's a period, or just more lochia.

    Thanks!

I would think that your heavier bleeding is from the extra activity Rest as much as you can today & see if it lightens up again. Then you'll know for sure. I won't think a period yet

LOL on the "more bleeding questions" description

If it seems to get heavier, I would probably go get checked, just in case they missed a piece of placental tissue. Hopefully it will not get worse. I doubt it would be a period yet. Just keep an eye on it. (((hugs)))

Hey Sarah....lol, like your description of the Yorkshire man....

I would say it is your body trying to eliminate retained poc....

I had this happen to me when I lost the twins...Typically, your body can release this on its own. That said, sometimes your body can't....I ended up needing another D&C...

Actually...I also recall this happening with my loss in 2005 as well...needed another D&C with that loss to.

Let your doc know what is going on....I would ask that he follow up with an ultrasound in a few weeks....

Thanks ladies. I was going to go to the doctors next week to get an haemoglobin levels test sorted out and BCP's, but i might as well make it this week if the bleeding and cramps doesnt ease off.

It wouldnt be so bad if we could wear a tampon! Feeling it come out makes me shudder sometimes!

    Hi Sarah,

I gave stillbirth on Dec 31, 2006 and bled for at least 4 wks. I started BC before I even had AF. So it's likely your body still healing and flushing out. You've been in my thoughts and prayers! You're an inspiration!

I also experienced heavier bleeding with more activity.....

I say the activity even though it doesn't sound like much.I walked to the park at the end of my street went to walmart and got home bleeding like a sive the other day and now it comes and goes but it's very light again as long as I sit and do nothing.Hope you feel better though.

Sarah, it's perfectly normal, same thing happened to me. I thought I was done bleeding and spotting, then BAM! I bled for another 2 weeks. It also doesn't hurt to talk to the DR.

AND I felt the same about the tampons, I couldn't wait to get out of wearing SUPER/Overnight pads or diapers as they felt.

And I agree with yjordan74, you are truly inspirational!

    Take care,

    Joey

I love the description. I totally pictured him in my mind's eye. LOL

After delivering Damien, I bled lightly for about four weeks and then had a really weird couple of days where I thought that I might be starting my period. I saw my doc and was told that it was normal but if the clots got bigger or I was still worried to come back in. I am sorry that isn't much help. KUP

Sarah, I am still thinking this sounds pretty normal as long as there is no tissue.

..and BTW, your ol' Yorkshire man sounds like he needs at least a couple more pints. ;-p
