Default need advice please-maybe TMI for some, sorry.

I hope i don't offend anyone on this board because technically i am still pregnant, but in my heart i know i have miscarried this weekend...I need some advice b/c i've never had this happen...i have had a miscarriage before at 14 weeks but never bled at ALL. i went 6 weeks without finding out...

All last week i felt like something was wrong-i was having mild cramps in my left pelvic area and thighs and just felt weird. Thursday night i started spotting so friday i called the dr. i went in and she did an ultrasound but we could only see a shadow since i'm only about 7 1/2 weeks...she said it looked more along the size of a 6 week old but that everything looked ok-no blood in the sac, the sac wasn't collapsing, etc. It's not an ectopic pregnancy so i felt a little better. Well, Friday night i started spotting red...and off and on all day saturday but only when i go to the bathroom. i have one piece of some grey like tissue but nothing huge like i keep reading. Today i am cramping pretty steadily and just feel like crap. I don't have morning sickness anymore, i just feel like i'm having a period.

My question is...do i call the dr again tomorrow or wait until my appointment on Thursday? i don't want to seem like a paranoid person but i am so convinced it's a miscarriage and i want it to be over if it is. i want to know-i am so stressed out, i can't do anything but cry. Any suggestions or has anyone had the same thing happen?

I think you should call the dr again tomorrow. Bright red is not a good sign. Plus you have pain. I am so sorry if it is indeed a miscarriage. It sounds like you don't want to m/c naturally. Did the doctor mention a D/C or checking your levels?

I say you must listen to your gut and body. Call the dr tomorrow, that is what they are there for.

the dr said she could never promise anyone they wouldn't miscarry but from what she could see friday she didn't see any indications i was...but i know things can happen overnight and i know my body...something is not right. i think i will call in the morning and if they say i have to wait until thursday i think i will crawl in a hole and hibernate until then. the stress is killing me...

I am so sorry you are going through this scare....the possibility of losing another little one..

I agree, that the symptoms you mention do not sound good. That said, I do know of ladies that passed huge clots...Thought for SURE they had lost their baby....I even thought they had by what they had described...But in the end, their baby was fine...

Could go either way....Just know that we are here for you...We will get you to Thursday, if your doc makes you wait...Though, I really hope she doesn't..

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. I will be praying for you and your little one. I agree with everyone else, call the Dr. tomorrow...but you know what, if they won't see you until Thursday, and you need more reassurance or it would just make you feel better, go to the E.R. If you feel that you need to be seen and something isn't right, do what you need to do for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us posted.

thanks for everyone's support...my cramps have turned into pain now-i swear it feels like ovulation pain! one more confusing symptom. either way, i am going to call in the morning but if it gets worse, i may go to the ER tonight. I know i'm stretching for hope here, but has anyone heard of someone losing one baby while another is still in there? maybe that's what it going on??? crazy i know, i'm sure the dr would've seen it, but like i said...i'm stretching.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I definitely agree with what the others said.

    m/c/PG/CHILD MENTIONED....

I do want to say that I had the same symptoms you are experiencing. I had had two previous miscarriages and I was sure I was miscarrying again. I was at 7 weeks along, and had a ton of red blood, along with some gray matter. I was positive that I had miscarried. I didn't even want to go to the doctor because I had been through the whole m/c routine twice already, and felt like an expert. It happened over the weekend. By Sunday the bleeding had slowed. I called the doctor on Monday and they had me come in for an emergency ultrasound. Turned out everything was fine. I will never know what the bleeding was about, but I definitely did not miscarry. So definitely I agree with the others, call the doctor tomorrow. Either way you shouldn't have to wait to get your answers, but anything is possible.

It is *possible* that you could have been pregnant with twins, and lost one.... Did your doctor look for a heart beat when you went in at 7 and a half weeks? ....Are you sure of your O date?

I dont have anything to add here really.

With my last pregnancy i bled several times between 4 and 6 weeks, but she was fine. (She was later still born, but that was nothing to do with the early bleeding).

    How are things today?
