Unhappy In need of some support

I am about 38 weeks pregneant with my 3rd baby. I have 2 little girls ages 3 yrs old and 5 yrs old. I am having a baby boy!! I was told in May 2007 that he has Osteogensis Imperfecta type 2. Which is a lethal disease or disorder that ends up badly for the baby. It causes the baby's bones to be like ear cartlidge to soft to hold together. I have never been through this kind of thing beside with my mom. But its still not like this. This is alot harder than that. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before or anything? I am being induced on August 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Barnes Jewish Hospital. I just need some one to talk to that has been through this before. If you got any pics of Urns for infants or anything to do with that let me know. PLEASE !!!!!!
    THANKS
    JAMIE

I'm sorry you are going through this. Is that what they call "brittle bone" disease?

I don't know about the disease itself, but unfortunately I do know about infant urns. If you click on the "my family is whole (sort of)" thread I have posted a picture of the urn that we brought our angel Damien home in. It is a very hard thing to consider but whatever funeral home deals with the cremation (if you decided to go that way) should have a selection for you to look through. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. Feel free to email or pm me if you need anyone to talk with. Shelly

I don't know anything about the disease, but I agree with Marie... hopefully someone lurking out there is familiar with it and has some information to offer you.
I wish you the best of luck and know that we are here for you to lean on when you feel down...

I am so sorry. I don't have the advice about the disease but have heard of it before. If you look for the MISS Foundation they will probably have some information on it and what to expect. My son was cremated I don't have a picture of his Urn but it is a blue building block with his name on it and at the top it has the Now I lay me down to sleep prayer. He had a bear when he was in the NICU that said the prayer. I was still numb after his death when I picked out the urn. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as your induction day comes closer. Please know we're all here for you to offer support.
