Default New to board & also coping with having a D&C.

Hello everyone, My name is Mandy. I'm new to this board. I'm from Atlanta, GA. I just wanted to say hello, and to see how some people are coping with having a D&C. I just had one a little over a week ago, and I am still upset about not being pregnant anymore. We were sssssoooo happy to find out that we were pregnant. Then we were even more happy when we found out we were having twins! But when we went to the Doctor, they said the babies had not grown and they did not develope a heart beat. So sadly I had to get a D&C. I just really cannot wait to get pregnant A.S.A.P.

Hi Mandy. First of all I am sorry for your loss. I was 8-9 weeks pg, had a u/s, then went back in for another u/s by a tech to do measurements and had no heartbeat. I had to have a D&C also.
I am sorry that you are here, but I am glad that you found us. I have found a lot of support here--there are wonderful ladies here. There is also a TTC (trying to conceive) after loss board also if you want to visit there.

Thank you so much, everyone. I am very glad I found this site. I hope talking about it, and hearing other women's experiences helps me through this process.

I am so sorry for your losses

You have come to a board full of wonderful women, full of compassion. Who will help you, as you help them...to work through your grief..learn to live with your loss..

One of my pregnancy losses was twins as well ....I had one with a great heart beat...the other they felt would come around...but were not sure. I was so confident that one or both would make it, especially the one that they were unsure about, being it was early. I went in again between 8-9 weeks to have another look see...And the doc stated that they had both just passed away, as they were measuring on target

I am sad that you have had to join us all...

Hi Mandy, and welcome to the site, although it is horrible for us all to meet under these circumstances.

I was 10.5 weeks pregnant with identical twins, when their hearts stopped beating and I had to have a D&C. I also had a D&C in June, after loosing twins at 7 weeks. We all understand your pain. I think the worse thing about this time was that because I had no idea it had happened until a routine ultrasound, I still had my pregnancy symptoms. So I went to sleep in the operating theatre with nausea, sore boobs etc, and when I woke up I felt.....nothing. it was heartbreaking. The first time I had bleeding and pain so I had an idea what was going to happen. This time it was such a shock, it made it so much more devastating.

I hope you find some comfort from this site and these ladies. They have really helped me alot and just being able to get out how I feel and talk about it has been a huge help.

Im so sorry for your loss.

    Hi Mandy,

I'm so sorry for your losses. I too am in Atlanta and just had a d&c at 10 weeks at the beginning of October. Just know that we are all here for you. Also, please email me or pm if you need anything. We are probably not that far away from each other.

You and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers

I'm so sorry you have had to come here, but at the same time i am glad you did. The girls here are wonderful and they are such a great support to many.

I didnt have a D&C as my losses were later, but i did have 2 c-sections and i know exactly how you feel about wanting to be pregnant again as soon as possible.
