Default Pregnancy and Infant loss awareness

I was watching Ellen yesterday on TV and she just kept reminding people that October is breast cancer awareness month. I got a little upset because it is also pregnancy and infant loss month, anyway I got so mad that no one EVER brings up this day October 15th is the rememberance day, that I emailed her. I gave her a suggestion to announce this day as well as the breast cancer awareness. I don't want to take away from breast cancer awareness month but I want other people to know about our babies and the losses that we have had.

Maybe others of you can email her site as well, maybe if enough complain to her she will do something in rememberance on that day. Just a thought.

It gets to me too honey. I was walking round town today and i saw soooo many women wearing the breast cancer support ribbons, which is fantastic of course, but i saw not one single P&IL awareness support ribbon.

This is why we as supporters need to take the initiative, like you have today by emailling Ellen. We have to make sure we raise awareness as much as we can by doing what we can, whether it be something small or something larger.

I bet Ellen, if they get the email, will do something to change this. As for me, I am almost scared to wear the ribbon. I feel so selfish, but I guess I just don't want anyone asking me about what it stands for. I am still at the break down and cry stage when it comes to that.

I know what you mean...I went to the OB office today, and every single receptionist was wearing a BreastCancer Awareness shirt... but there wasn't a single P&IL awareness sign anywhere. Concidering thats what I was there for, I thought that was pretty rude. I wanted to say something...but I just didn't have the strength today to start anything. I would have started crying or screaming hysterically or something else rediculously embarrassing. Maybe if I feel better when I go back for my other blood labs I will be able to say something.
