This post is about someone very close to me. She was 35-1/2 wks when she lost her baby. Only 4 more wks to go. This was their 1st child. They are awaiting an autopsy report since prelimanary testing hasn't come up w/ any reason for what has happened. I don't need to go into details about how devastating this has been for them and those around them.
If anyone knows of any support groups (not virtual) in the New Jersey area (near or around Woodbridge, Edison or Old Bridge) please let me know so I can recommend them to her and her DH.
Many thanks and blessings to all of you. My condolenceses for all of your losses.
I am so sorry for your friends loss. There is an announcement at the top of the page. Called "IMPORTANT - MUST READ BEFORE POSTING" IF you scroll to the bottom there are a few links to different things in there./ Maybe there's something that may help there too?
I am so very sorry for your friend's loss. Many hospitals have advocates that work with families who lose babies. They offer their own support groups and can put people in touch with support groups and therapists outside of the hospital as well.
I am glad you are wanting to support your friend and help her in her grief. I would caution you and those around her not force her to attend a support group if she is not willing to. DH and I were not comfortable with the thought of a support group or a therapist and have instead learned to lean on family, friends and sites like this to deal with our pain and grief.
