hello! I have a question, new to this board, and any input would be helpful. I had a miscarriage on October 4th and had a d & c done on Oct. 5th. It took 8 weeks to have what i assumed was my first period after the miscarriage. I haven't had another period since...
after the miscarriage, I decided that if I wanted to have a baby with a healthy pregnancy, I needed to lose weight, because I was 60 tp 70 pounds overweight with possibility of high blood pressure. So, about 2 weeks after the miscarriage I joined weight watchers and increased my exercise routine (instead of walking a mile and half 3 to 4 days a week, I increased it to about 3 miles per day 5 to 7 days per week.) I have lost about 25 pounds since the miscarriage, but I've done it in a healthy way. I was in no way shape or form starving myself.
So here is where my questions come into play. my question is could my weight loss and exercise routine have an affect on having my periods? (I took a home pregnancy test, which came back negative. I do not have any pregnancy symptoms other than later period, especially comparing to my other pregnancy symptoms i had before the miscarriage.)
did anyone else have a problem having a "normal" period after a d & c?
