Some of you can appreciate.....(TMI)

Ok, now I'm a geek too, but not cause of a turkey!!!! (hugs shelly!!)

After listening to Sarah (thanks again BTW), I started charting and here I am thinking my cycle is all messed up again because I'm late, 32 days, had been 25 days lately and I know I'm not preggo, then today, here come some mild cramps, BUT the most EWCM EVER, clear, stretchy, the whole bit!!! I never even hardly have CM at all, and then to find this...I'm a geek, but I'm a happy geek. Maybe I shouldn't get so irritated at my body, maybe it does know what it's doing Smile

I know it's silly, but I just had to share and who else can I tell about my CM!? LOL, don't you ladies just feel lucky!!

lol
Thanks for sharing Amy.

Geek application:
I am unfortunately wearing Poise pads these days because I have terrible bladder control since Lily. I have a cough which doesn't make it any easier. It is so gross! I can't believe I have to wear these things!

Can I join the geek club now?

haha isn't this site amazing??? I have some close people in my life but I would never go to them and start talking about my cm......and yet in here it seems completely normal to sit down and spend half an hour discussing every (sometimes gross) bodily function imagineable. What would we do without each other!!!?? haha

speaking of cm.....can someone give me some pointers? I joined fertility friend last night. I dont plan on "charting" as such, Im not doing the temperature taking etc, but thought it would be good to at least track my cm to understand my body. I figure just because I dont NEED to chart to fall pregnant, doesnt mean I have to be ignorant to how it works! Smile
Anyway, I was looking at what info your supposed to fill in...and got alittle confused. To tell you the truth Im not sure what Im supposed to be looking for. Ive never looked before so how am I supposed to tell the difference between "sticky" and "creamy"? I suppose I just guess until one day it looks different? and the most confusing I think is the position of the cervix....... I could feel it easily so does that mean that its low? or was it medium and could drop lower??? ...... Im starting to think that maybe ignorance IS bliss! Wink

If I didn't have this site...I wouldn't have had anyone to tell or ask about my CM and I've been here asking lots!!

At first I wasn't sure what I was looking for either, but if you know you can reach it I think that's a good start Smile I still haven't figured out all the rhyme and reason pattern to mine yet, but it's the end of my 1st month and I am starting to see some differences so I'll tell ya what I've noticed...There are times when I can't even reach mine, so I assume that's the fertile time. There was one day it was really really low, more so than I had seen before that point, so that became my Low and since then everything in between has been Medium or whatever. I did just have to kind of take down what it seemed like to me each day and adjust as I went. Wish there was a better way to tell ya. As far as stretchy or creamy or whatever...if you do that course, it really breaks down what to look for and consider for each of those. But just track it for awhile and it will start to make sense. That was irritating for me in the beginning...starting at it kind of blindly, but it does come together.

That probably didn't make any sense. Sorry. But after awhile, it does start to make more sense and you can see more patterns and such.

Good Luck,
Amy

speaking of cm can you have it while on bc pills. My cm seems really thick and slimy yet I have been on bc for 3 months. Do you still get cm when on bc? Stupid question but I have no clue.

I'm a bit confused on the whole cm issue. I never even knew that people charted it when ttc.

What do you mean by when you can reach it? Isn't CM just the gooey stuff that ends up on your pantyliner? Or are you actually supposed reach inside and feel around?

I'd do a google search but I'm scared I'd end up at some porn site!

It's all on the Fertility Friend website and/or the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book. I just started doing all of this, but after awhile it starts to make more sense.

When we said 'can or can't reach it' that meant the actual cervix, that is a secondary fertility sign (I think, it's secondary)

Then there's the actual CM, it's something you can check too.

I think you can actually check by BBT, CM, cervical position and the last one is texture, I think. I can't ever figure that one out so I don't do it. It's kind of a the more ya do the more accurate kind of thing, at least that's how it seems to me.

It's all explained on that website, if you sign up they'll e-mail you little lessons on it. I am so glad that Sarah suggested it. It really makes me feel like I'm doing something, a little more in control.

You can also get the book I mentioned above. It has some really really good info, but to be honest, now that I use the website, I don't really use the book very often. But I am glad that I have it, I do use it occassionaly.

Hope that helps some,
Amy

I'd be scared to just randomly search it too!!! Smile

Oh and the website is just www.fertilityfriend.com. You can do this free trial thing and then keep the free membership or move up to the V.I.P or whatever (your free trial is the V.I.P, it's less that $20 for 6 months after the trial and its worth the $ if you can do it)

And CM is the gooey stuff on the pantyliner, but you can reach up and check it while you check position too. Or if you're like me and produce next to none, you have to look that way to see if its even there (TMI again sorry)
