Unhappy Still getting pos HPT.... ??question??

Well, the bleeding stopped a day or two ago, but I'm still getting pos HPTs. Anyone know how long it takes to go negative?

Can you bd with a pos HPT, or is there still risk of infection? I'm anxious to move on, but I don't want to create more problems.

You don't ovulate with HCG still in your system, do you?

I wouldnt think you would ovulate with HCG still in your system but I'm no expert. What did you find out at your u/s? Sorry if you already posted and I missed it. I'd probably wait a little longer just to be safe- but thats just me.

from what i have read, its unlikely to o with hcg in your system. I think it depends on the individual as to how long before you get a neg on pg test, some ladies i read said it was about 2-3 weeks but i think this can vary.

I don't get my u/s until tomorrow, actually. I really hope I get some good news.

Like the other ladies said....could take as little as 1-2 weeks, or, as long as 3-12 (my hcg did not go down till almost 12 weeks with my twins)

The ultrasound will tell the story....If no poc is visible...Hopefully in another week or so...your hcg will be negative.

I am sorry that your body is taking its own sweet time to get straightened out. Great big cyber hugs.
