Today Begins Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month

Is anyone doing any fundraising or anything special at all to mark this month? I thought it might be nice to share ideas here.

I am not at work at the moment, but i arranged for there to be a fundraising day before i left. Someone else is taking care of it for me while i'm not there. Everyone will dress in either pink or blue and pay £1 to do it. It's an office, so normally everyone is smart, it's kinda like a themed dress-down day. Also, i have some awareness ribbons for people to buy.

I'd like to get into work that day, at least to take some pictures for Zane & Ada's scrapbooks.

Also, Lisa (Monkey's Mama) made me a great blinkie, which i'll be keeping in my signature all month. Here it is:

I am trying to organize a candlelight vigil on the 15th at my church. So far, it's still "in consideration". But we will have a candle burning from midnight to midnight in my house for my LO.

I have a 4 y/o and would like to get her a t-shirt or something to wear to school on the 15th. I know that there are at least 2 other kids in her class who have lost siblings. I don't know where to get started looking. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to the walktoremember.org walk here in Denver on October 6th. Jeremiahs name has been printed on their shirt and will most likely go to the candle lightening ceremony on the 15th. They have them all over the world and everyone ligths candles at 7pm.

*Sarah I think about you often. I wont say I hope your ok because I know your not but please know your in my thoughts and prayers often. :bighug:

I am going to print out the presidential proclamation and put it in front of my desk at work. I know that I should not be angry at all, but it does bother me how much breast cancer awareness month overshadows PAIL awarenesws month. I am not denying the importance of awareness for both, but I would like to see them get equal billing if you know what I mean. I tell people about it being PAIL awareness month and they have absolutely no idea. It is so frustrating and yet I had no idea it occurred in October until this year. I hope that you ladies have the beautiful remembrances that you and your angels deserve.
