Today was a hard day (mc meant)

I found out today that our baby is gone. We just came back from our delayed honeymoon and I keep thinking I did something wrong...

Tomorrow I have to go in to discuss options. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Will my OB get a follow up u/s to confirm?

I'm so sad I don't know what to do. Sad

First, you did nothing to cause this to happen. Do not blame yourself.

You can request another U/S and if it will make you feel better, then do it. Do not let them push you around.
You could let nature take its course and do nothing. It could take a few weeks before your body understands what has happened and you m/c on your own. If you are early enough you may be able to take a medication. It speeds the process of a natural m/c, but I heard it could be painful does not always work.
I have had 3 D&Cs. All of them are under general anesthesia and my recovery time was quick.
Make sure you understand all your options. Write down questions before you go as it will be hard to remember things once you get there. It is your chioce, again do not let anyone push you into doing something you are not 100% sure about. Sending prayers and hugs.

I took the medication, and I start to bleed but I'm not sure it's doing as much as it should. Do you know how long the bleeding from a miscarriage takes? How will I know if it's done?

It is hard to tell. Most of the time you need another U/S. :bigarmhug:

((hugs))) and so very sorry for you loss. Sad

I had a natural m/c and it lasted weeks. I chose not to take medication, but it would have saved me weeks of unknowing if I had. I hope that you're doing okay. I found so much support and comfort when I came to this site.

Every woman's body is different, so when we have a loss it is a unique experience. Hang in there, and know that there are many people who cry with you and understand how confusing things are right now. But as Missy said, you did nothing to cause this.

Take care,
