    Default Tribute/memorial

Hi everybody. With my EDD approaching I was trying to think of some way to honor or pay tribute to our little angel that was supposed to be arriving in May. I am thinking about planting something that returns every year and makes beautiful, fragrant flowers---honeysuckle perhaps? Would anybody be willing to share some ideas for ways you have done something physical here on Earth to honor your angel? Thanks in advance.

Even though my EDD was October, I'm thinking of planting a rose bush this spring to honor my LO, something with bold, fall colors like crimson and orange. As long as you cut them back in the fall/winter, rose bushes should bloom every year. If you want fragrant blooms, it's worth doing a little research first, though, as some are more fragrant than others.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be beautiful and perfect, just like your baby. Good luck!

I agree. Roses or honeysuckle or any other flower would be wonderful. I think that your baby is looking down on you from heaven, and smiling because you are such a good mommy.

Just a thought, maybe a tree? It will continue to grow and celebrate the child that you love but lost.

I plan on planting a tree on damien's angelversary in the yard of the house that we end up buying.

I love your idea of the fragrant flowers.

I got a tattoo of what would have been a life sized footprint for my baby. I was a little passed 15 weeks, so it it pretty tiny. Across it reads, 15w 4d, the length of time I was pregnant with her. I got it on my right shoulder blade so that I can see it whenever I like versus everytime I look in the mirror, KWIM?

    So sorry for your loss.

I purchased two rose bushes yesterday that I will be planting in memory of my two angel babies. They are both a soft shade of pink, and are appropriately named 'Peace'.

My hope is that tending to them as I would my babies will help me find some peace within my heart.

That is beautiful I'd love to be brave enough to get a tat someday. Perhaps when our childbearing days are behind us I could do a memorial with my kids' names and the loss.

Knittenkitten, the roses sound beautiful and I hope that you do find peace.

Shelly, I wouldn't mind a tree but our yard is so small that I don't think it could handle another tree. But I could find room somewhere for some flowers or some flowering vines. I'll try and update on what we end up deciding on!
