Hi, I haven't posted here in a long time. I have had three losses. The most recent was in November. I would have been 37 weeks today.

My question is, have any of you ever experienced "labor like" symptoms after a loss around the time you should have been delivering? My hormones seem to be going crazy right now and that's the only thing I can figure out. But I feel crazy even mentioning it to anyone. Any thoughts?

Thanks, no, I'm not pregnant. I've tested and we have been preventing while we wait on some test results.

I haven't experienced the pains you are describing, but the one thing I have learned that is universal to loss is that there really is no "normal." The emotional pain of losing a baby is so great, it can cause just about anything.

I'm so sorry for your loss!

Sorry, I didn't experience anything like that around my son's due date or his three sibilings before him. I'm sorry.

Right before my EDD of my loss, I went through some psychological "labor signs" but nothing physical. I was nesting and channeled it to prepare the nursery for the adoption and to clean the house really well (it needed it anyway). I was going through some grief-related mood swings--really grateful for what I do have one hour and cranky the next.

Who knows, I think anything can happen with this kind of horrible loss. Maybe the symptoms are more psychosomatic?

Whatever it is, you're not crazy!!!
