Long weekends are the best. It was so nice to be able to lounge around, get a TON of stuff done in the yard and just spend time being a family without being rushed or feeling like the days flew by. We spent ALL day outside on Sunday and Monday and while I was exhausted last night, it was so worth it. I got all the mowing done, which takes almost 4 hours, all of my flowers planted and my flower beds cleaned out and weeded, Dh cut down a tree that has been dead for awhile now and we cleaned all the branches and debris up from that, and got the rest of the yard in order for the summer. I felt pretty proud of myself that I got all that done even though I'm sporting quite the belly now!

Babe is great - he (I'm only guessing here) was doing flips and kicks and turns for hours yesterday when I sat down on the couch to relax. I'm feeling the movements so much more clearly now, which is such fun! I can't wait until the kids and Dh can feel them on the outside.

If you ask Halle what is in Mama's tummy she says, "A baby sister" EVERY time. Hmmmm.... Brendan doesn't have a feeling either way as to the sex, he just talks about it being a "baby" and asks me questions about it. The other morning I took my pre-natal vit and Brendan asked me what it was for. I told him it was for the baby and he sat there for a minute then said, "Momma, does the baby just open it's mouth and catch the vitamin when it goes into your tummy?" I tried, with not much success, to explain to him how the baby absorbs nutrients from the placenta - quite the interesting discussion with a 4 year-old!

    19 Weeks!

Had my doctor's appt on Monday - it went well, I gained 2lbs., so I'm still under my pre-pregnancy weight, we found the heartbeat right away, and they scheduled my ultrasound for the 15th! I can't wait! The baby is moving constantly now, wigging and kicking. I love it and am so excited for when I can feel it from the outside so the kids and Dh will be able to join in on the fun, too.

    It's A.....

    GIRL!

I have to admit, I'm surprised! Up until last week I was convinced I was having a boy, but over the past couple of days the baby has really started becoming SO much more active that it reminded me of my daughter's pregnancy. I know you can't take much stock in comparing pregnancies so I just figured we'd be having an active boy - nope! Dh was there and was excited, too. Halle is such a blast, and now she'll have a little playmate - should be interesting and fun! My cousin (who's also pregnant, and due the same day as me!) finds out the sex of her little bundle next Tuesday, I'm hoping girl for her, too!

Whew - this is one active child! She kicks and rolls and twists and turns ALL DAY LONG! Thus far she's pretty quiet during the nights, though, which I hope will continue after she's born!

I'm so glad the weekend is again upon us - my house is a disaster. During the week I'm lucky to get home, make dinner, and get the kids clean and in bed, let alone handle all of the household chores I should be doing. I'll have to make sure I get up and clean tomorrow morning, while I still have the energy - then it will be DONE!

In other news, we bought a boat! We are so excited! We brought it home last night and needless to say, the kids LOVE IT! I'm sure most of the weekend will be spent on the water! We also bought a tube, so Dh will be taking the kids in the tube while I'm driving around the lake. Cannot wait!

The weekend was awesome! I didn't want it to end! We spent both days in the boat and on the water. The kids had a blast riding around the lake, and the looks on their faces is just so priceless when we are going fast, or running over another boat's wake. They are hilarious! We stopped the boat and beached it both days, as well, so we could get out and swim. The kids had a blast playing in the water and sand.

The baby was really quiet all weekend, which I'm sure is because we were on the go the entire time. She's making up for it today, however - I don't think she's stopped moving since I sat down at my desk!

I have a feeling this week is going to go by quickly. We leave on Friday for my parents' house, so I'll be doing laundry on Wednesday night, and packing on Thursday so we are ready to leave right away, from work, on Friday. That means tonight and tomorrow night are the only nights I can relax and take it a bit easy after work. That's ok though, I haven't seen my parents in a month or so and it's always such fun to go down there.

23 weeks tomorrow! The time really is flying by!

I had a regular OB appt yesterday, I gained another lb, so I'm back to my pre-preg weight - I'm hoping to keep the rest of the gain to less then 10 lbs. We shall see! Baby looks good, I'm measuring right on and the H/B was in the 140's. I scheduled my next appt, which includes my GD screening and hemoglobin check, for August 6th. The crazy thing is that after that appt I will be to the stage in which I start seeing the doctor every 2 weeks! Amazing! I asked the doc how much over my due date she'd let me go, she said typically one week after my due date they schedule the induction, but with monitoring she would let me go two weeks. I know when I'm getting close I'll want nothing more then the baby to arrive, but I'm going to hold out and if the baby wants to remain inside I'll let her until mid-November. It really works out MUCH better for my maternity leave that way. I wonder how big a 2 week overdue baby would be - my other two were both almost 9lbs as it is!!

The weekend was great - my grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary! We spent the weekend with family, which was really fun. 60 years is just so amazing!!

I've got tomorrow off, for the 4th, so we are going to shoot off fireworks tonight and celebrate Dh's birthday (which is actually this Saturday) with his mom and our nephew. Should be a great time! Then this weekend we are taking the kids to Dh's mom's house and spending the weekend with friends - cannot wait! I hope the weather cooperates so we can spend Saturday boating and swimming!

    Work motivation = 0

I'm here in body, but that's about it! Dh and the kids are at home, as is my sister who is visiting for the weekend - getting up and leaving today was tough as I just wanted to lay in bed for awhile before getting up to finish my house cleaning and do my cooking for the weekend. I'm so excited to see everybody tonight - yay! It's supposed to be HOT here tomorrow, so spending the day on the boat should be great!

Being pregnant in the summer is tough - there are so many things that I wish I could do, but can't. If we do have any more kids they are definately NOT being born in the fall!

Dh felt our little girl kick last night - it was cute. He put his hand on my stomach and I said, "You have to push harder then that" - he was barely putting any pressure on my stomach at all. When he did push she kicked him - she HATES having her space invaded!

    24 Weeks!

T-minus 16 weeks left! I'm hoping it's more like 17 or 18 weeks left, though, truth be told - it would be GREAT for my maternity leave! Babe is good - she was a moving, kicking fool all day yesterday. Her kicks and movements are getting more and more distinct and you can feel all of them from the outside now. I'm taking that to show that she's growing like she should!

Weekend was AWESOME! Our friends are so great, and we had so much fun hanging out together and talking and laughing. It stinks that everybody lives so far apart so we can only manage get-togethers like this a time or two a year.

This coming weekend should be a good time, too. Dh and I are going to take the kids and go on a bit of a road trip. It's our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday and we decided we'd like to do something to celebrate, so we are leaving right after work on Friday night, and with no real agenda, we're going to cruise into Wisconsin and see the sights. I'm looking forward to it! There are fairs and carnivals all over the place this month, so hopefully we'll come across some of them.

Tonight we are hitting the local fair in town - they have a motocross show that we are taking the kids to. Fair food.....mmmmmm......yummmmy...

100 Days to go until my due date! I'm not sure why, but that is a big milestone to me. I'll be in double digits starting tomorrow and I feel like I'm getting really close now.

I think we are going to buy a new crib/dresser set for this baby. We've still got the one we used with the other two kids, but I really want one that I've seen at both Target and Walmart - it looks to be great quality, and I think it would really fit in the room nicely. I'm just watching prices and waiting for it to go on sale somewhat (or for the internet to drop the $98 shipping charge!) so I can get it!

We had an awesome weekend - went camping on Saturday night with the kids, which was a blast! They get so darn excited about everything, it's the cutest thing! I need to get my blog updated so everyone can see pics!

It's been SO hot here lately - yesterday was in the 90's and the forecast for the rest of the week shows no reprieve from the scorching temps. Thank goodness for A/C - I feel for those that don't have it!
