I am so scared
I woke up at 3am to use the bathroom just to discover I was bleeding. It was just a small amount, but still. I was also cramping a little. I did nothing strenuous yesterday to cause it. Dorothy made me spot too, so maybe it's a girl. I am really trying to stay positive, but there is nothing I can really do until Tuesday.
Why do these kinda things have to happen on holiday weekends?
Today I had my nuchal translucency test. All went well. Baby was measuring EXACTLY 13w, 6days (Which is what I am today)
Nuchal translucency was 2.4mm, which I have been reading is in the normal range. Heart rate was 162. And we couldn't see between the legs or anything and the tech refused to use the...uhhh, magic wand aka dildo cam, so the pic I got SUCKS as usual. I felt like a pervert asking to get the sono vaginally. I am kinda jealous of you thin moms with awesome sono pics. I got one internally with DS1 at 15 weeks and it was amazing! You could actually make his face out.
*sigh* oh well. All in all, baby looks healthy.
I had a midwife appointment this monday and all was great. My uterus felt nice and firm and "perfect" for a 15 week, 5 day pregnancy.
Tomorrow, hopefully, I will have gender news to share. We go at 6pm for a gender peek.
Will be have a Daniel or Delilah?
Whew, it's been a crazy month. My dad died on July 8th due to septic shock due to prostate cancer. We were gone basically 3 weeks in a row. Almost a week in Cincinnati, and a week vacation, and lots of other stuff...
Anyway, They couldn't see Daniel's heart that great when I went for my 18 week anatomy scan, so we go in today at 11:30 for another look. I am not complaining.
Also, D1 and D2 started school yesterday. Dylan is in first grade and Devon is in pre-k. So crazy how old my kids/I am getting. Dorothy starts 3 day/week preschool on the 16th. If I remember, I will post sono pics later today.
I had a 3d/4d scan done like 3 weeks ago and Daniel is most definitely still a boy. The rest of Summer and this Fall so far is a blur of taking kids to school and picking kids up from school as well as adding on to our house which has taken much longer than I think it should have. And potty training a 3 year-old. Whoever said potty training girls was easier has never met Dorothy.
I have all my birth supplies all in a basket, ready to go (Which could be as early as NEXT week )
I had my 36 week midwife home visit on 11/7.
* Baby is still LOA, just not engaged. I start going to the chiropractor tomorrow and then weekly until B Day to help line things up for him.
* My BP was fantastic. Being in your own home helps that.
* His heart rate was 134.
* I am measuring at 44cm, which is what I was at this point last time. I didn't get any bigger.
* All of my supplies look great.
After tomorrow, I can safely deliver at home. Being that Derek was born less than 11 months ago, I am doubting I will go into December (Though I could be just jinxing myself when I say that and end up going to 42 weeks or something crazy)
I am nesting like crazy!! We had some work done to the house and I have been wanting to tackle EVERYTHING that needs done (paint, moving furniture, major stuff.) We did get Derek into his own room finally since we will need the mini crib that he had been sleeping in that is in our room. Today, I raised the crib mattress, moved Derek's stuff into his dresser in his room, and got the box of little baby stuff out of the closet and sorted/put away. I also hung mini blinds in D1 and D2's room. I swear, I have a list.....
Also, my mom will be here Nov 21, which happens to be a full moon. She is staying for a week. Maybe Daniel will be born then, or wait until Nana leaves. I am kinda torn on which would be better...In one hand, she kinda gets on my nerves. And I know she would be saying all kinds of stupid s*it while I am birthing since I tend to be very vocal (OK, so I scream bloody murder. And, she is just negative and NOT what I need while my body needs positive reinforcement) Also, I loved having it just DH, the midwives, and I. On the other hand, my kids are all off school the whole week, and it would be awesome to have an extra set of hands there. Then, DH could take his week of FMLA off the following week. It would be nice to have 2 weeks of assistance. So, we shall see. One visit with the chiropractor last time made me have Derek the next morning.
