So my numbers have been pretty good. They did seem to be creeping up last week but this week they seem to be good. Following the diet is hard at times but I know it will be worth it in the end. Fred has been able to feel the baby now for a few weeks. Her kicks are getting stronger and stronger. Sometimes she will move and I can feel pressure. I can feel like a big bulge, like a head or something. It is crazy. My belly is really starting to stick out pretty good too. I have to go back to the doctor next Friday.
24 weeks today. Time is going by so fast. I went to the doctor this morning. I have gained 3 pounds in the last month, that's 5 pounds total now. My belly is getting bigger and bigger, I think it doubles in size by the end of the day though. The doctor said my glucose numbers were ok but he wants to see me in 3 weeks just to keep an eye on them.
Almost 25 weeks. My baby shower is on Saturday, I am getting excited about it. I feel kind of gulity even having a shower because we have so much from Katie. I really only need diapers, wipes and bath stuff. We have all the big stuff and lots of clothes. Although Samantha deserves new clothes too. I can't wait to meet her.
I had a doctor appt this morning. Everything is going well. BP was 110/50. My weight was 150 pounds. So that is nine pounds total of weight gain. I was measuring right on target. I have to go back in 2 weeks. I can't believe only 12 weeks to go. Its going by so fast.
I seem to be getting bigger and bigger. I am thankful that I have been feeling pretty good too. I am not as tired as I was in the begininng. My back has been hurting by the end of the day though, right in the middle. It feels better after I lay down for a while.
I am 30 weeks pregnant today. It is so crazy how fast it seems to be going. I went to the doctor on Monday. Everything looked good. I was still 150 pounds, I was surprised I had not gained anything in the last 2 weeks. The doctor took his time measuring me and said I was right on so he was not worried about not gaining anything. My BP and urine were good. My fasting numbers seem to be creeping up higher and higher, with the highest being 103 so far. If they continue to be above 100 he said we will have to do something about it. All this week they have been in the 90s. I have to good back on the 27th so I guess we will see what he says then.
So I went to the doctor today. My fasting numbers have been creeping higher and higher, they are now pretty steady in the mid 90s. A few times they have been in the hundreds. Higher than the doctors like. So I am going to start some NPH, long acting insulin at night. The doctor was sort of on the fence about weather or not to start me on it. He told me we could start some pills first but my problem is the fasting numbers and not my one hour after meals numbers. I told him I don't mind, I want to do what is right for the baby. He probably thinks I am crazy for actually being ok with starting it. My weight was up to 154 pounds.
I have been doing the insulin for a few days now and my fasting numbers have been in the 80's twice and this morning it was 77. I also seems to be helping my one hour after breakfast number too. I think the shot hurts less than poking my finger, which isn't a big deal either. Samantha has been moving around a ton lately and sometimes it is painful. She sticks her butt up and then moves legs or arms come out too. Crazy what she is doing in there. I got out the pack and play and the swing today. I wanted that stuff to be out for a while so Katie gets used to it. She was asking all sorts of questions when I first put it out so I think it was a good idea.
34 weeks pregnant today. Wow. I went to the doctor this morning, this was the third time I had to reschedule because of bad weather and they were closed. Anywho, my weight was 154 pounds, no change in the last 2 weeks. BP was good and urine was good. The doctor said my blood sugar numbers were looking good also and to keep the same dosage on the insulin. He told me that they start doing NSTs at 34 weeks when you start the insulin. I will do them once a week and then at 36 weeks twice a week. So they hooked me up the the monitors and gave me a button to push when I felt the baby move. I stayed on for about 20 mintues and she moved the whole time, she must have not liked the monitors. She was wiggling all around. Her heartrate was up and down which is what they like to see. The other monitor is for uterine activity and he told me if it goes over 20 that means I am having a contraction. It did go over about 3 times during the test. After they took me off he looked at it and said it looked good.
Almost 35 weeks. I went back to the doctor today, BP and urine were good. My weight was 156 pounds. They did another stress test and said it looked good too. I have to go back on Monday for a ultrasound and stress test.
