Today I am exactly 27 weeks pregnant, and it is April the 19th, exactly 3 months before my July 19th due date! Woohoo! I have decided that this means I am in my third trimester.....only 91 days to go! AND I only have less than 50 working days left before I finish work FOREVER! TA DA! I am so excited. Coming down the home stretch now, hey? I am celebrating many things at once today!
I have been having such fun feeling my little one lately. This morning in bed, I could feel numerous different body parts popping up, little bumps of proof that there is a person inside of me! There was quite a large bump that reached at least 2 inches above my belly button....yep, it's still there! I wonder what it is? Head? Shoulder? Bum? Knee? This is so awesome!
Ahh, I am so neglectful! Well, here is an update.
Today I am 29 weeks. Two days ago I had a little scare, I woke up in the morning and my bed was wet, and my underwear as well. It didn't have any scent to it an it definitely wasn't urine....so I called the nurses hotline and they told me to go to the ER. So I went to the ER and they sent me up to L&D to be examined. They did an internal swab and found no sign of any amnio or any other fluid, so hooray! Whatever it was, it stopped, and everything is fine.
Kindof exciting though, when we were at the hospital, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat, which I haven't heard since 12 weeks, and the nurse also said the baby was head down (which is good, cause it was transverse last month) AND the Dr. on call was the new OB that I was going to meet 2 days later (today), so i got to meet her at the hospital! She was really awesome, I saw her again today and I really like her. Also, yesterday I went and got my RH shot at the hospital, and did my 28 weeks bloodwork at the lab. I was poked and prodded a lot this week! But all is well.
Today at my appointment, she said I was measuring exactly on size, my blood pressure was excellent, and I am now on 2 weeks appointments! She and my family Dr are going to share me for the next little while (I see him in 2 weeks, then her 2 weeks after, etc) until I start seeing her every week in my last month. Time is flying!
Renovations on our house are starting in 2 weeks...hooray!
AND I went shopping tonight after work and bought some new shorts and 3 tops.....I spent a little too much, but I have been living for 3 months wearing only 3 bottoms and 6 tops! How did I do it? I have no idea....I am glad to have some more options now.
Anyways, I will take a picture probably in a day or two and let you see my big buddha belly!
Here I am again, Mrs. Neglectful....
Here is a 30 week 2 days belly pic!
And I changed my mind about the bedding.....I found a new set that I totally love! Here it is....
I will post more later when I have time.....
30 weeks and 3 days today!
Well, you know how your surroundings can influence the way you feel? So my house is in a state of disarray, and so is my brain......
I am 34 weeks and 3 days preganant and I'm totally pooped. DH and I lived in a hotel for 2 weeks while the renovations on our house took place.....but much to my dismay, we have become those kind of people who live in a constant state of renovation.....it's killing me! We are back in the house, but nothing is where it should be, we are leaving for Toronto in 5 days, and when we get back, there will be ONE MONTH until my due date.....
The renovations aren't quite done.....we kind of ran out of time and helpers (and funds). I guess it's not as bad as all that, most of it is done, it's just the little things, you know, like.....baseboards.....outlet covers.......touch ups on caulking........paint touch ups.........doors not on their frames..........general CLEANUP.........I guess we'll get there eventually.
I only have 13 more working days! After I am done, I need to do some serious organizing (I'm hoping I have the energy!)
On the bright side, pregnancy is going well. My feet and legs have started to swell a bit with the heat, and with long days at work, and my back and ribs ache more, but I'm getting through it. I now weigh 155 pounds.......from my starting weight of around 128......and over 5 weeks to go!!!!! Here is a belly pic from 34 weeks (my dog makes an appearance too - note the paint on her tail.....she got in the way of some renovators!)
Well......I hope I have more time later to update more, but with all the other things I have to do........I doubt it........
So long for now!
Well, 34 weeks and 5 days today, and it's my 22nd birthday as well......
A rather lonely birthday though......DH got up and went to work at 5 in the morning, I woke up later and had a Dr's appt, cleaned the house, did some laundry.....DH came home and went to bed and is still sleeping.......I did go to Walmart though and put some things on my registry. I haven't had a shower yet, and I'm hoping that SOMEONE will throw one for me, so I've registered. Never too late, right? So here I am, and for my birthday supper I'm having some minute rice and some creamed corn with a glass of milk......how exciting. No candles....no cake......no singing......oh well.
DH did give me my present yesterday, which I'm pretty excited about, it's a portable DVD player....so that's fun. I'm just a little bit down today. Hopefully I'll perk up for this weekend, since we're going on a "babymoon" to Toronto for 4 days to celebrate our anniversary (which was 2 days ago). I just need someone to pay attention to me...lol.....what a pity party I'm having here! Anyways, I'll go and finish my delectable birthday dinner......lol.
So my birthday turned out a little nicer towards the end....DH woke up and wished me a happy birthday, then my MIL called to wish me the same, then my dad, then my cousin, and I got an email from my stepmom as well!
I had to go out to the church youth activity (I'm a youth leader), and on our way home DH and I bought some creamsicle icecream....mmmmm.....and watched a movie, which is basically an ideal evening for me! Movie and icecream? Absolutely! So I'm done with the pity party now....lol....I DID have a good birthday. And baby said "happy birthday mom" by kicking my bladder early this morning and making me get up and go pee!
36 weeks and 1 day!
Only 4 more weeks! Things are going well. DH and I went to Toronto for a babymoon last weekend for 4 days and had a great time. I was REALLY tired by the end of every day, and my ankles started to swell really bad (and are keeping that up, every day now) but I made it through! Here are some pics!
Here is DH and I at a Blue Jays game
Here we are at the Hockey Hall of Fame with the Stanley Cup
Hahaha, this is a guy we saw busking in the street; he was playing the guitar (very beautifully I might add) and he had a paper bag on his head!!!! I went up to take a picture of him and he said "I AM smiling!" LOL
Here's me at the Revolving Restaurant in the CN Tower gettign excited about the bread basket (I'm addicted to bread....lol)
And the two of us after dinner (which was DELICIOUS)
Now on to Niagara Falls, we took the Via Rail train there for a day. Here I am...
And here we are
And here we are again (baby makes an appearance too)
Here are my poor ankles after walking around Niagara Falls for the afternoon.....my ankles are normally pretty bony!
And here we are on our last day in a park by our hotel in downtown Toronto
Well, I'm sure that was quite enough pictures for you, but I have to show you the cute baby clothes I bought at an outlet mall in Niagara Falls!
Here are some little onsies and rompers I picked up at baby Gap and baby Mexx
and a close up of the baby gap onsies...lol...so cute!
And this is the quilt my grandma made for baby, it's all handquilted, and isn't it just so fun!
Ok, I'm done sharing pics now!
I made a little trip to the hospital this week, I thought my water may have broken, but everything is ok, and my cervix is closed, no amniotic fluid leaking. My next Dr's appt. is on Monday, and I'll be getting my group B strep test (eeeww).
Also, my stepmom is coming this weekend to bring me a bunch of baby stuff she has, and to take me shopping for some baby things, and help me get the nursery ready! My MIL and stole me away from work today for a bit and we went and ordered the crib and dresser/changetable that I want....I'm so excited to actually have FURNITURE picked out! And ordered! I feel so behind, there's only 4 weeks left, but I'm getting there! Anyways, that's all for now, will update later after appt on Monday.
Can you believe that? Just over two weeks and we could have a little one around the house!
So, here's an update.....My stepmom Debbie arrived on Sunday afternoon. That night we went out to my parent's house for dinner (poor Chris was in a houseful of girls - Mom, me, stepmom, my two sisters....my stepdad was out of town). Then I had Monday off, so Debbie and I had a busy day...we went shopping and bought the cutest piece of furniture to go beside my dresser to hold all the diapering needs, we bought an area rug and this awesome giant stuffed monkey for decoration, and she bought me all of the basic diapering needs 'just incase'. So I was all set up with diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, shampoo, baby wash, etc. It felt so good to have things ready and waiting in the nursery finally! I had a Dr's appt that day too, and had my Group B Strep test. My tummy was measuring about a week behind, but she said it was nothing to worry about. So Monday was a good day....then Tuesday I had to work, but we went out for lunch, and then after work, I got home and Chris said his grandma was in town over at his sisters house so we were going over to visit......WELL.....
It was a SURPRISE SHOWER for ME! WOOHOO! I have been wondering if someone was going to throw one, and there it was! My mom, MIL, stepmom, SIL, lots of church friends and friends of my parents as well were there. So then I got HOARDED with gifts! (Oh, I forgot to mention that on Monday we ran in to my mom buying my stroller!) So I got to take home my stroller/carseat, lots of clothes, diapers, a diaper bag, a jumperoo......it was a good night. I felt SO much better, after feeling so unprepared for so long!
So the rest of my week went well, I worked 4 more days and last Saturday was my last day of work. EVER! So now I am home all day, trying to get things organized! BIL should be coming this weeks to finish up the minor details of the renos, my furniture arrives this week, and as soon as I am done the laundry for Chris and I, I am going to start washing baby things!
I had another Dr's appt today for 38 weeks. This week I am measuring right back on size, my GBS came back negative, and all we do now is wait!!!!
I am starting to get really excited! Baby is so active in my belly the Dr always laughs when she listens to the HB because baby keeps doing somersaults in there and pushing her out of the way. Just imagine what it'll be like when it's born....
Anyways, that's all for now! Heres to 2 more weeks!
So, I can now say that renovations are as done as they're going to be...I have carpet on my stairs, I have baseboards in my bathroom and nursery, I have a window frame in my nursery, and I have AIR CONDITIONING in the bedroom upstairs! BIL and grandpa came 2 days ago and got as much done as they could. AND my furniture came in at the store this week too (crib and dresser) but I haven't been able to pick it up yet!!! We need a truck to get it home, and MIL was out of town, and it's her truck, so we have to wait until Monday (2 MORE DAYS!) Yesterday I washed all the baby things (clothes, bedding, blankets, etc) and now I am just waiting to have somewhere to put them! Today I am going out to buy some foam to make a mattress for the cradle that we will be using for the first 6 weeks or so, and then next week I can get the whole nursery organized!
I am really anxious to get it done, not only because I'm due in 12 days, but I want to get my hospital bag packed (AHHHH, so behind!) I'm also going to be buying some nightgowns and underwear and such today for the hospital (just some cheapies from Walmart). Here is my list so far of what to pack....
Pillow (coloured case)
Notepad and pen
Receiving blanket (2)
I am kind of unsure as to what the hospital provides (diapers, blankets, etc) so I wanted to bring a few of each, and we only live 5 minutes from the hospital if we need anything else anyways.
I've been having a lot of pressure on my cervix from bebe, and lots of BH, but nothing regular or really painful (which I'm ok with! I'm not ready yet!) It's crazy, all the women on my birth board are going nuts trying to induce labour with all these crazy remedies.....some of them aren't due for 3 or 4 more weeks and they're freaking out because they're not having contractions or because they're not dilated at all. HOLD YOUR HORSES LADIES! You've got time to spare! Maybe I'm just not as uncomfortable as some of them are, I mean, it would be nice to have my body back, but I'm not freaking out about it....I'm not so sick of being pregnant that I want this baby out of there ASAP. I would love to see my little one, and I'm so excited to be a mom, but it'll come out when it's ready, you know? Anyways, that's all for now....I'll put pictures up next week once I get my nursery ready!
