    39 weeks!!

I went to the doctor's yesterday. I gained 4 pounds in 1.5 weeks. I couldn't believe it. She is getting so big. My doc told me to watch it. Afterall, I have to deliver this baby. I think she's probably about 7 pounds now.

I really can't believe I'm still pregnant. I expected her around 9/5. But she's in it for the long haul. I had some pretty painful contractions last night. Let's hope they made me dialate more. My doctor said that I was 2 or 3 cm dialated yesterday. Hopefully this is a sign that my labor will be quicker.

Well my due date is 1 week away! I'm trying to relax but its really really hard. We have everything ready for her. Its all up to her!!

    39 weeks 1 day

DH and I had the best today. We both were really sexually frustrated. We hadn't done it in 1.5 or 2 weeks. DH doesn't want to "cause" me to go into labor. I told him that she'll come whenever she's ready. Anyway we finally made love today and it was great! My doctor's office has free samples of KY. 3 weeks ago I started bringing some home. Anyway we love it. Its absolutely great.

As for the baby, I'm still waiting! I'm getting very very uncomfortable. The good news is that she will come in 3 weeks at the very most. That's not too bad.

On Monday 9/22 our daughter Summer Christine was born on the last day of summer .

Labor started 6pm Sunday. I left for the hospital at 9pm. When I arrived I was 5 cm dialated and the contractions were about every 2 minutes. My doctor came in about 1am. I was fully dialted but the contractions slowed down. They started pitocin and I pushed for 2 hrs! She was born at 3:19am. She was 7lbs 6oz and 19in.

It took forever to push her out because she was 2lbs bigger than DS and 1/2 in longer. She also had to fully rotate.

It hurt worse than with my DS but it was a lot quicker. My overall experience was very nice. I had them at the same hospital but it has drastically improved over the last seven years.

BF is going o.k. I'm having a hard time waking her for feedings. She's not wetting enough yet! I have also supplemented a couple of times with formula. She goes back and forth effortlessly but it seems that she prefers BF. Hopefully it will work out but it is honestly getting painful. I'll just try to bear through the next couple of weeks.

Well this concludes my pg journal. I hope my experience helps someone else!
