La la la, pretty boring over here. 35 weeks today. Had my dr appointment, now on to weekly appointments. Everything is fine. I weigh 191lbs now. 5 weeks to go, I want to stay under 200lbs so I need to gain less than 9lbs in those 5 weeks. Really could be 2 weeks to go, thats when I'm "full term". I don't feel like doing much of anything lately. I just want to bide my time until I get to meet my little girl.
Ok so here's what happened Friday. I left to go get the massage... and its a long story but I got lost the hospital it was at is not my hospital but one that's affiliated with my hospital. I've driven past it before but that was years ago... so I got directions online but not thinking put in that it was in Columbus when actually the hospital is just outside of Columbus, so I got directions to the wrong street. Ended up driving around possibly the WORST neighborhood in Columbus, with a dead cell phone. I completely missed my appointment and after driving for close to 2 hours my hips and lower back were just screaming in pain. I cried the whole way home out of disappointment and pain.
When I got home DH and I found ourselves with some quiet time and DTD (maybe TMI but I figure maybe it had something to do with how my night went). Then we went to Target and walked around for awhie because everything we needed was at opposite ends of the store. By this time my lower back pain was just awful. On the way home I started having contractions, probably every 7 minutes. My stomach would tighten up and I would feel the contraction in my lower stomach, then it would radiate out to my back and make my back pain way worse. I'd been having contractions for more than an hour when we decided to go to the hospital. I honestly would not have gone so soon but there was tornado watch and bad weather expected so my family didn't want me to take any risks. At the hospital I was still dilated to 3cm and 70% effaced. I had no change after an hour so they send me home. I was still contracting every 3 minutes. We went home, relieved my mom from our kids, played a game with DS and got the kids into bed. Then we left them with my Mom again and went to walk around Wal-Mart for awhile since I was still contracting. $60 later nothing new had happened so we went home and I went to bed very frustrated. The contractions tapered off during the night and I went to work yesterday. I've continued to have contractions but nothing in a pattern like they were on Friday. I had one contraction yesterday that hurt like hell but after that it just went back to the regular painful but managable contractions.
This is getting very old very quick, I just want things to either stop or keep going, not this middle land stuff! I've watched a few of you go through this for weeks and I'm really hoping thats not how its going to be with me. I go to the Dr again tomorrow for my weekly appointment, I'm pretty sure I'll still be 3cm, I'm halfway tempted to just "forget" all about my appointment, it feels pointless right now.
If I get contractions that are 2 minutes apart or my water breaks I'll get excited, beyone that I'm just going to go about my buisness.
I do think though that I might be nesting, normally Sundays I have no problem laying around and being lazy but today I am just itching to do stuff.
Oh, and my cat and I are in a contest to see who has babies first. We waited a little bit too long to takee her in to get her fixed, and over the past week or so its become quite apparent that she's going to be a mommy soon. So now its a question of who's gonna go first, lol.
As of last Monday I was 4cm dilated (or so my dr says at least). Still just hanging out, waiting for something to happen. Still having contractions but nothing ever comes of it. They have at least been getting a little more intense. I see the Dr tomorrow morning, so we'll see what happens then!
