So I am swollen like a balloon. My hands and arms are constantly hurting. I have not slept in days. And for the first time in my life, I am having high blood pressure. And I still need to post the pics from Wednesday and I am just too tired. I hope I get the energy soon.
So I am resting and cutting back on sodium. I am not a big salt person, but that means that I am staying away from mexican and that makes me really really sad.
I am going into see the doc on Thursday and I am hoping that my pressure is better and I am feeling better.

Subject : Just got back from 23/24 week appt
And all is well. They were able to get a pic of all 4 chambers of her heart (they could not get it last time so that is why we had to go back again). And we could see everything else- 10 fingers and 10 toes, etc. And she was moving all over the place! This is the first time we have seen her moving so much since an u/s at about 12w. She is normally just laying around, but she was all over the place. She is measuring at about 1lb 7oz which is good and still measuring about a week ahead of her due date (this has been consistent for the most part). And the doc said after looking at all my first trimester screen and the great u/s we had today and last time that it looks like everything is good and we are very low risk for any problems!
Oh and she is still a girl.
So all I need to do now is work on keeping my stress level down...
I am really tired again. I can not get comfortable at night. I am moving from side to side. Sometimes I end up on my back and then I snore and wake up Greg. Luckily, I did some cooking this weekend, so for dinners we are just reheating food.
I am feeling baby moving around a little. Not as much as my birthday when she kicked me, but still feeling her. It is weird and neat all at the same time.
So baby is moving around more. Yesterday she was all over the place and we actually saw her move (saw my belly do a weird little roll). It was really neat (and weird). Greg really likes to feel her moving around. And either she loves to move at night or she loves to move when she hears Greg's voice because she definetly moves the most when Greg is around. It is really neat. I took some sleeping stuff last night (that my doc said that it was okay to take). Anyway, it made me hallucinate....scary stuff.
Well I must go and watch Heroes!
So baby is moving around more and more. She loves to move around when I am trying to sleep. Ahh...sleep, I have not sleep well in quite awhile because I have this cold that I can not seem to get rid of.
I need to take a picture of my belly sometime soon. It has gotten HUGE!!!
Anyway, just wanted to post a little update.
So we picked a name for the baby- Sara Rose! We are so excited that we have a name.
So Sara was kicking up a storm today! Greg had his head on my stomach and she kicked him in the head. It was so cute! He got really excited!
Last night was another no sleep night. I just could not get comfortable at all. And I keep having horrible heartburn/acid reflux at night, it wakes me up in the middle of the night.
So Greg and I have decided that we are going to cloth diaper this baby. We have gotten a couple different kinds and were testing them out on teddy bears yesterday. It was funny. I must go and buy some more. I think I am also going to try to make some.
My newest obsession...
So I had tightening of my uterus a couple of days ago, and yesterday I started having cramping as well.
So I figured- what the heck, I pay for insurance through work, I may as well get checked out for peace of mind. So I go to the emergency care center near me, since my docs office did not open yesterday. They do blood and stuff, it takes about 3 hours. They give me an IV for fluids. Bloodwork, urine- everything was fine. Then they tell me I need to head to the hospital for monitoring, just to check. Ok, so I do that, they hook me up to be monitored...and I am having contractions. About 6 an hour, I was not even feeling all of them and was not able to tell when they stopped or started. So they had me drink lots of water, hoping it was just that I was dehydrated- I told her I had an IV at the last place, but they had me drink 26 oz of water also. Did not help, so after another little bit they gave me a shot of Terbutaline. I knew this would make my heart feel a bit racy and speedy- but it made me feel horrible!!! I got nauseaus and could not lay down anymore. It was so yucky! But it stopped the contractions, and I was finally able to go home. I am so glad that it did because I am not sure if I could have gotten another one of those shots.
Anyway, baby and I are both doing well, just resting today, just wanted to give you a little, er not so little update.
(copied from a post from yesterday)
So I was having more of the crampiness again today. I called my doc and they had me come in and be monitored. No contractions, but when the nurse mid-wife was looking over my lab work from the hospital, it showed that I have a bladder infection! And so that is what is causing the cramps and achyness. She started me on antibiotics since she said that bladder infections are a big cause of pre-term labor Shocked
She said in a few days I should feel better. I am so mad that the hospital did not read the results correctly or whatever and told me all my labs were fine. Grrrr.
But the bottom line is that baby and I are fine and I should be feeling better soon. Very Happy
