4 - 5 weeks pregnant...
I had my first ultrasound yesterday!! I didn't think it was possible to see anything as early as 4 or 5 weeks, but we definately saw our little bean on the sonogram.
I haven't been keeping track of my fretility and I have no idea when my last period was so my due date and how far along I am is still very up in the air. My doctor seems to think I'm 4 or 5 weeks along based on the little bean we saw on the sonogram. I guess that will put me at around Dec 22nd or so... give or take a few days.
We are extremely happy about this pregnancy... we've been trying for over a year now. I have to admit we haven't been trying hard but we have been trying. I'm proud to be a plus sized mommy to be. This will be our first child.
My journal will probably have alot of updates on my progress, maybe even belly pictures if I can work up enough courage to post them. My journal will also have nursery ideas and pictures, and just mostly someplace to store my ideas, pictures, and pregnancy updates.
Just found a really upscale baby website... It has alot of very beautiful and expensive baby products and furniture. It's called Posh Tots, I'm sure lots of you already know of this site, but I'm going to save the link here in my journal...
Here's an idea for a boy's room that I like... a jungle theme!
A baby room jungle theme is great for the baby nursery. There is a lot that you can do to decorate your baby’s room with a jungle theme. Start by finding a jungle nursery bedding set . Once you've settled on a bedding set, you should be able to find coordinating items such as a crib mobile, diaper stacker, and window valances to match the bedding you choose.
Next you will want to decide what to do with the walls in your jungle theme baby room. You could simply paint them white or a jungle color such as a jungle green. You could also use jungle wallpaper and borderon the walls. Another idea for you jungle room is to create a jungle mural on one or more of the walls with jungle trees and jungle animals. This will really give the room an authentic jungle feel.
Other decorating ideas for you for your jungle theme baby room can include putting an artificial tree in one corner and hanging stuffed monkeys from it. You may also want to put some jungle wall hangings or jungle art work on the walls.
For lighting, try to find a jungle themed lamp for the dresser. If you have a ceiling fixture in your nursery, a jungle ceiling fan would also be very cute. If you have wood floors or the carpet in your nursery is worn out or the wrong color, a jungle themed rug would dress up the floor really nice.
If you want to dress up your nursery’s furniture to match the jungle theme, consider replacing the knobs or drawer pulls on your dresser with a jungle themed ones. You could also add jungle themed furniture pieces such as a jungle toy chest , jungle table and chair set , or a jungle child rocking chair.
You should have no trouble finding jungle animal items for your baby room jungle theme. You may also want to add a few non-jungle related touches to the room as well such as hanging letters to spell out your baby's name on the wall and maybe making a belly cast to hang in the nursery. If you do create a belly cast, you could also decorate it with a jungle theme to go with the rest of the room if you want to.
A baby room jungle theme is a great choice for a nursery theme because it will also work well when you convert the room to a toddler room for your child in a couple of years. This could saving you a lot of money if you don't have to completely redo the room.
I like this bedding from Wal-Mart for a girl... its $50. Here's a link to the site... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4179958
I also like this boy bedding at walmart for $179... its kind of expensive but I might be able to salvage pieces of it and not the whole set...
Ok to explain better to all of you... I'm a nut when it comes to decorating and designs. It's my passion in life and its definately what I should be doing for a living, but that's something that isn't popular around my home town so I just do what I can. Weddings are my #1 love for decorating and hopefully someday I can open my own business... but anyways that's why your seeing alot of decor pictures and ideas in my journal. I hope my pictures and ideas will help some of you too who are checking out my journal. *muah* to you all!!!

5 weeks pregnant
Well I have an update about my pregnancy and not ideas on the baby room.
This past weekend, I've been having some vaginal bleeding... it started on Saturday and I'm scared to death. My husband and I treated it like a miscarriage and we broke down. After we pulled ourselves together, we decided that we may still be okay and that we need to just verify with the doctor before we assume anything. I've been having horrible cramps and lots of spotting with an occational bleeding. I've had a few clots and a little bit of mucus so I'm not sure what all this means. I have an appointment today at 1pm cst to see the doctor. I'll update this journal as soon as I can.
Please if your reading this... send my baby some prayers or happy thoughts our way.
