    Hello sweet baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We had a great day here in Atl., but a fairly slow one.

I took your sibs to have their pics taken at the Preschool. They did SO well...I was really impressed. Especially Mr. J, who doesn't like to smile for the camera much these days. He's got "Popitis" when it comes to this...and it's hard to catch him with a smile and his eyes open at the same time. It looks like he's squinting...just like his pops...lol! Anyhow, I am certain that at least a few of the shots will turn out great...

We had some rain here today....so, pretty much an indoor day. I got all the laundry done, and we just played and read books. Your sister is really into reading these days...much to my pleasure. She can look at a book and point to all the pictures, and she can say most of the basic words...so, so cute! Today she was able to say "girl" and "fower"...flower.

I am feeling good, and am going to go and shower and rest up.

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet One!

    Two days combined here...

Yesterday was busy around here. I dropped your brother off at school, and then Miss L and I headed to the Mall for some indoor playgroup time. This was her first time in this type of setting, and she absolutely loved it. It was great seeing her interact with so many little ones. She kept going up to the kiddos and saying "Hello"....she's too cute.

I had a great time talking with the various moms, and was invited to the local La Leche League meetings. I told the lady who asked me that, I am in no way a hardcore nurser, and would never push it on anyone. I believe that, as long as you feed your baby, than you are doing super. So, she told me that the group is pretty laid back, and that there are lots of little kiddies there. I think that, I will try to go to one meeting to see how it is. I just don't care to spread the "nursing is the only way" gospel, that so many at LLL believe. Having said this, nursing is THE way for me...and I am so darn proud that I was able to do 15 and 18 months with your sibs. I just hope that I have an easier start with you...however, if I have to nurse, pump, and finger feed like I did with your sibs in the beginning, then this is what we will do.

In the afternoon we went for our big grocery shopping...and then I spent two hours with friend Terri, going around the neighborhood...it's our bi-annual yardsale time.

I am getting ready to head out again with her today to do some more looking. I spent $2.50 last night...1 on an outfit for you for next summer. And 1.50 on a load of train tracks for Jake's Thomas trains.

    Ok, sweet one...I love you!

    Hello Sweet One!

I so can NOT believe that, tomorrow is the beginning of Oct already. Before we know it, you will be here. We are very anxious for you to join our family...on the outside.

You were awake most of the day today, just thumping along inside of me. I am feeling pretty good, just a bit pooped by the time your sibs go to bed though.

We had a great day today. We hung out here most of the morning...playing and singing, and enjoying just being a family. this afternoon, we went to Clinton Park, and had a blast. This is a really nice park, similar but different then the Castle Park in H'berg. Your sibs love going there.

Tonight, we grilled burgers and ate out on the deck. The temperature outside here is just perfect....low 80s and very little humidity. I could have this weather all year...well, almost. I do enjoy a bit of snow...watching it come down...building snowmen, making snow angels...etc.

Tomorrow, I have an Appt. with Dr. Potter. I can't wait to "see" you! I know that you are getting so big inside of me...and I love it! I bet you are beginning to run out of room to really turn though...as I am almost 24 weeks. I think that both your sibs were stuck in breech position by week 29 or so. Hang in there though...you'll be ok.

We finally unpacked the video camera! I had fun filming your dad and sibs this morning. I can't wait to get your first moments on film, too!

Let's see, my friend Terri gave me the name and number of her neighbor who does photography. I am going to call him tomorrow to discuss doing a maternity shoot with your dad and sibs. This is one of my favorite memories of being pregnant. I love looking at my body...carrying you (and your sibs)...it truly is a beautiful thing...at least I think so.

Ok, sweet one, off to rest...

    I love you!

    Always and forever...

    Hello Sweet Baby,

I know that you are well today!!!!

I had a nice long post typed up...and it got zapped away....poo....here's the scoop:

I had a very good appt. with Dr. Potter today. We spent a good 45 minutes looking at all your body parts. You are now about 1.7 lbs! you are growing just as you should be. We looked at your heart for a long while (standard procedure at this point), and all looks terrific! Best of all, my cervix measured 4.7 cms...up from 3.9 last month! You were head down, and moving and kicking like crazy. It is soooo wonderful to get to see you this way. I feel very lucky!

This afternoon, your sister and I hung out here. I made Tahini (sesame paste), for the Humus that I will make tomorrow. For some reason, this is what I have been craving these days. Guess it's better than sweets and fried stuff.

The rest of the week is filled with Dr./Dental appts. for your sibs. We will also go to MOPs and a Playgroup on Thursday. So, busy, busy, busy. Your papa leaves tomorrow for a business trip to Kuwait. This will be the first time that he's away, since he returned last Dec. from Iraq. I am glad that he will be going now, vs. next month or Dec!

Ok....here's an u/s pic from today. Below it is the cradle that I bought for you a few weeks ago. I so hope to be able to pass it along to you and/or your sibs to use.

    I love you!

    Mom

    Hello Sweet One,

I sure hope that you are well today.

Today was a pretty busy day, which is good, since your dad left for kuwait. We all miss him already. It's strange not having him here, after him being home for so long.

We went to the dentist this morning, for Jake's checkup. He did excellent! Even let the tech take x-rays of his teeth. I am so stinkin' proud of him these days. We think that he's finally over the toilet training hump...yeeee haw! I really never thought we see this day...LOL. Funny, how, he is telling us he has to go, and then not even asking for a treat. I am giving him a few things here and there any way....he deserves them.

This afternoon, we went to Clinton park. We had a blast, and met the head of the Playgroup that we will start going to. She is very nice, and has two little ones of her own. Supposedly, the Group has about 20 members...I can't wait to meet more mommies and their kiddos.

Tonight, we had a quick and easy dinner...played, read books....and now, the kiddos are in bed. Hoooray for me.

I am feeling good, and dad took pics of my 24 week belly this morning before he left. I will try and post them here soon.

Ok, sweet little baby...I am off to the shower and rest....

    I love you!

    Hello sweet baby!

I sure hope that you are well today!

Today was a busy and great day here. Your brother went to school, and Miss L and I went to MOPs. We had a very interesting speaker join us and discuss siblings and different issues related to this. I was thrilled to learn that routine is a big key to keeping things under control. I do routine (99%) of the time, like it's my religion! At this stage in the game, it keeps both me and the kids sane.

While I am not particularly religious, this being a Christian-based org, they do prayer request. I felt good asking everyone to keep US Service Men and Women and their families in thought and prayer. Another mom requested this for a child born premature 4 years ago, and died at just 3 months. I can oh so relate...as I think of our precious Rachael all the time. October 15th is right around the corner...another year to celebrate our sweet, precious Angels...

Miss L did not want to leave the Moppetts room, as it has a slide....a new love of hers. Anyhow, we both had a nice time...and are making some new friends. This is a GREAT thing!

When we came home, I made some chicken salad and we had lunch and rested. This afternoon, I ran out to find her some tights to go underneath her ladybug costume.

Your dad called from Kuwait, to let us know that he arrived safe and sound. It's always a huge relief to get this call! We miss him around here, and are so grateful that he won't be gone for long.

Ok, sweet baby....off to get your sibs in bed...routine, routine...LOL!

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet One!

I sure hope that you are well today. I am feeling good...and so love feeling you inside of me. I love how you are now reacting to your sibs and their noise, too. When they talk or sing loud, you seem to wake up....it's waaayyyy cool! I never really recognized this with your sibs.

Today, I took J&L to get their flu shots. They were both champs...I am so proud of them. Barely a cry and they were done. Then, I took a chance and went in to see the Lactation Consultant. I've been meaning to call her...just have not. Anyhow, she seems sooooo nice! I am really glad that I went in, instead of just calling. Your sibs looked at books while we talked. I explained my history of rough starts with nursing, but that I am one heck of a determined momma when it comes to this. She told me not to worry, she does both office visits and phone calls. And, I could bring you in as often as I felt I needed for weight checks. Can you say HUMONGO BIG RELIEF!!!! I know that she is not Miss Donna...but, I am looking forward to working with her. She also gave me some hints on how to work with the Lactation Dept. at the hospital where you will come into this world. That's right, a whole Dept!!! Ok...so, I am hopeful that we will just click and groove right from the start. But, if not...it looks like we are all set for help.

This afternoon, your sibs and I headed out into the "boonies" to attend a playgroup. There were about 15 moms and kiddos there. We all had fun, and the women seem very nice. I think that we will join them this Sat, for a trip to a Pumpkin Patch....about 1/2 hour away. Nothing seems close around here...one of the downsides....

I didn't hear from your dad today, but really didn't expect to. I am certain he's doing just fine...

Well, it's off to get your sibs into bed...

    I love you!

    Hello sweet baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here, however, I am tired...from a long week.

Today was pretty busy. I spent the morning at school with the kids. The kiddos in Jacob's class were out of control...lol. Maybe they sensed that it is Friday...who knows. Anyhow, it makes me grateful to only have 2 (and almost you) in my life...and not many more.

Your sister actually shut the door on us when we dropped her off. She was soooo ready to play....she's too funny some times.

This afternoon, I vacuumed the entire middle level, and then we ran to the grocery store. Your sister does an excellent job of sitting in the Car cart, eating her crackers and drinking her water. I am so impressed by what she is able to do these days....she's not a little baby anymore. Hey, wait, she's a toddler...sheesh...where does the time fly??!!?!!??

Tomorrow, we were going to go to the Pumpkin Patch with Playgroup. however, I made an executive decision, and have decided not to go until your pops comes home. I would much rather all of us go together...as a family. So...I am planning to do some arts and crafts, bubble blowing, and getting messy with sidewalk chalk. Guess we'll do baths again tomorrow night...

I can't believe that you could be with us in as little as 11ish weeks. I hope to make it to 37 or 38 weeks this time though...we shall see. In the meantime, keep thumping away, sweet one...it puts my mind at ease.

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet One!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here in Atl., and had a good day. We spent some time at the Mall this morning, and I got your sibs some shoes to wear to school. Meaning, knockaround--I don't care how muddy they get--shoes. Then, your sibs got some playtime in the indoor play area...and then we had lunch out.

After nap, we headed for the backyard, for some bubble fun. It was a blast watching your sibs running after them, and squealing with delight. I just love it! We then headed over to the small park in the next section of our neighborhood. Miss L is really into slides these days...she's a climber, for sure!

We spoke with your dad this afternoon. He is going to try and get manifested on a flight tomorrow morning, his time. With any luck, he'll be home on Monday or Tuesday! We can't wait to have him back!!!

Dinner tonight was fun. Your brother keeps asking the most intelligent questions (well, I think so, at least) about your home inside of me. He asked tonight why it was dark in my belly, and asked if we could turn a light on inside. He then wanted to know if you had toys to play with inside of me! When I answered, no, he then wanted to know what you did all day long. He's really into anatomy and how things work and function, too. I need to try and locate a basic anatomy book for him. Do they make such a thing for four year olds? Your Grandma Elaine calls him "Professor"...and as time goes by, it fits him more and more.

Meanwhile, your sister walks around reciting the A,B,Cs and singing Twinkle, Twinkle like they will go out of style if she stops. Your sister is quickly following in your brother's footsteps. I am constantly amazed at what she knows and can do.

Ok...I digress...but who else to be more proud of her kids than a mom??!!!! I can't wait to meet you, sweet one, and be just as proud of you!

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet One!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here...just a bit tired. We can't wait for your dad to return...should be soon!!!

We had a nice day today. We went to Clinton Park this morning, and the kids had fun. There were tons of other kiddos there for them to play with. Plus, there is a sandbox...good thing it's bath night tonight!

This afternoon, we went to an indoor Flea Market...which was a big waste of time. Oh well, it was easy in, easy out.

Not much else to write...other than I am feeling good, and can't believe that I will be 40 in just over a week! I really don't feel 40...whatever that feeling is supposed to be. And, I don't think that I look 40, either...oh, well, bring it on...LOL! Write now, the only plan is to find an Indian restaurant (likely downtown), so that I can fill that craving. Other than this...I think it will just be a quiet birthday year.

    I love you!
