    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here in Atl. We had a nice Sunday. I got to sleep in a bit....which is always nice. I am sure going to miss doing this when your dad is away next month.

I went out today, and bought a few things for your sister's bed...waterproof mattress cover, pad, and sheets. I looked at a few comforter sets, but did not get one. We really need to save our pennies right now, so, I think we'll just make do and get something for her next month or soon-thereafter.

Tonight, we went out for Mexican food with a wonderful couple. The husband works with your dad, the wife is from Italy (although she grew up in South Africa). We had a wonderful time talking about how wonderful life is in Europe. Renata (Rene) is having just as hard of a time adjusting here as I am. She is also expecting a baby, and is at least 40. I am certain that, she and I will get together again and I hope become friends before long.

I guess that is all for tonight...I am off to rest...

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today!

We are good here in Atl...although, still fighting the runny noses....eeekkk...sooooo very frustrating!

I spent time at the preschool this morning. Jacob's class has it's original teacher back after two months. She's been home caring for her hubby. Anyhow, she's a hard-charging, older woman...who's been teaching for a long time. She is really into educating kiddos, and has minimal playtime in her class. I say yeeehaw! I so hope that things work out. She also told me that, your brother could easily go into the K'garten class there, even though he'll be on the young side...if he's academically ready. I told her that, we'd just take one day at a time....and see where he is at the end of the year.

This afternoon, I cleaned the two swings that we got for free from our neighbors. These are very good quality, swings with heavy duty outdoor chains. They are the bucket seats...so will be perfect for you and Lauren. I will go and look for a saddle seat for your brother soon. Your dad says that, we can hang them under the deck (we've tons of headroom down below) or even inside for rainy days. I also cleaned some of your sister's new furniture and mattress...before we get her settled. We hope to do the transition early next week. Hey, that's when your dad leaves for Norfolk...what am I thinking??!!!??? Anyhow...we shall see how it goes. I think we will move the old rocking chair that I have downstairs into her room, as she loves the glider that needs to stay in your room.

Let's see, I got about 20 sample pics from the maternity shoot we took. I am soooo happy with them, and will post a link and password here when I get it...so that anyone reading your journal can see the pics too.

We also got Grandma Elaine's flight reservation made today....I am so thrilled that she'll be here to help....and hopefully, you will wait until she arrives to make your grand entrance. She arrives during week 36....and that is when your sister arrived...so...we shall see. It will be interesting having her here over X-mas...and she and your dad may have to do the honors X-mas day, if I am in the hospital with you. I am certain she'll do just fine...but, it is strange asking a jewish grandma to do this. She's already talked about making a duck for dinner--which your dad loves--so, I think she might be getting into the spirit already. Now, all she needs to do is bring your dad some new underwear (an inside joke) and we'll be all set...HHAHHHHHHAHHA LOL!!!

    Ok...it's late...and I am pooped..so, it's off to rest!

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here in Atl. We had a fast, full day here....with both your sibs home. We went to Story Time at the library. Your sibs got to also make some arts and crafts and got goodie bags. There was also a Thomas DVD this time, so, your brother was in heaven. Good thing too, as our cable isn't working right now, and the company can't come to fix it until Thursday. Doesn't make this momma mad though, I dislike TV very much....

This afternoon, I made a pan of stuffed shells...and had some left after dinner tonight to freeze and eat while your dad is gone. I hate making real meals while he's away...so, I've been making extra and freezing for the occassion...LOL.

This afternoon, we also went to the neighborhood park. I like that fact that, it isn't too big and is pretty close to home. There was a lady and her son there today, who reminded me of our good friends Ann and Elijah in Germany. Yet again, I yearn to be back in H'berg...sigh....

Ok...we have a busy day tomorrow...and we hope that your Aunt Suzie has a happy Birthday!

    Love you baby girl!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today...

We are good here in Atl...just pooped from the day's H'ween events.

We went to Jacob's school for his party...and got there after the fact. It was fun though, watching him run around in the Batman costume. He actually liked wearing it...after fussing about it during try on last week...whew!!! Miss Lauren was a most adorable little ladybug. I will try and post pics of them here soon. Now, since I've managed to borrow all but one costume in the years that I've had kiddos, I shall have to start looking to buy some for next year.

This evening, dad came home early, and we all went to the Mall to trick or treat. It was perfect, in that the stores were close to each other...and it was all lit up. Our neighborhood has no sidewalks, is dark, and is too hilly. We also went to the First United Meth. Church, and went Trunk or Treating...it was fun, too. All in all, a perfect Halloween. I did think to myself on more than one occassion that, I wished we were back on our enclosed street in H'berg for H'ween. Made things so much easier...and the neighbors usually had food and drinks for adults, too. Sigh, we're not in H'berg anymore...

Tomorrow, we will take it easy....and maybe go to Clinton Park in the late afternoon...

    I love you!

Default Bonus Entry....maternity Portrait Slide Show

    Hello Sweet Baby!

Here is a link to the slide show I made, using several of the pics from last Saturday's maternity shoot. I think it turned out sweet...and I just love the pics. The photographer took well over 200...so, maybe I'll post more when we receive the rest of them....

    I love you, sweet girl!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

We are good here...and had a slow day. We did go to Clinton park this afternoon and the weather was beautiful. Your sibs love the playground, and I am sure that you will, too.

Happy Birthday to Momma Ann....we can't wait to visit with all of you next year in CA!!

I am starting to have some lower back pain and round ligament stretching...all pretty normal for this time in pregnancy. However, in 10 weeks or less...you will be here!

I so can't wait to hold you in my arms, sweet girl!

    Love,

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today....you were very, very active today...and I think you're head or tush is now wedged beneath my right rib cage. I remember this so well with your sister...ouchie for a few weeks. Oh, well, it's probably not much better feeling for you...sorry, sweet thing.

Today was pretty busy...with chores and errands. I also cataloged 4 more boxes for donation...seems never ending. But, at least we're getting rid of things!

Tomorrow, your dad has to go in to work for a bit. He will then try to hang up the swings we have for you and your sibs, and put Lauren's bed together. Still sooooo much to do...it seems.

Well, I am making this entry short...your dad and I are off to watch a movie.

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet Baby,

I sure hope that you are well today!

We are good here. I took your sibs to the park this morning...as dad had to go in to work for a bit. We had fun, but there were tons of kids...and it was hard to keep a close eye on your brother.

This afternoon, I went to get my hair cut and colored. It was a nice, quiet, two hours to myself...yeehaw! When I went to schedule the next appt. for 7 or so weeks from now, it is just shy of a few days before I expect you to arrive. I just can't believe how quickly the time is flying by!!!!

Your dad put up the swings for your sibs today. They are going to be so surprised and happy when they get to use them tomorrow! He also put together your sister's furniture in her room. She seemed to like practicing getting up and laying on the bed. We plan to have her nap there tomorrow. No more little baby Lauren, sigh....you guys grow up too quickly!

Well...it's off to rest for now...you were so very active today. I wonder what you are doing inside of me....???!!!???

    I love you, little one!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today...

We are good here in Atl. We had a nice day today...full of sunshine...

Daddy hung up the swings last night, and your sibs had lots of fun in them today. It sure was nice not having to get in the car to go swing!

Your sister also slept in her big girl bed for the first time...during nap today. After a few tears, she settled down. She is in her bed again tonight...and with a few tears of protest, all is quiet up there for now. I get melancholy thinking that, she is no longer a little baby. Time sure does fly, and before I know it, you'll be in a big girl bed, too.

Tomorrow, I have a regular OB appt. I will have my glucose test, and we will discuss the tubal. I am still very uncomfortable signing permission to have it done, especially if it will mean a tougher recovery and potential problems down the road. Your dad plans to be at this appt., and I hope that the Dr. will give us some honest answers on what having it done might mean for me. I sure don't want 20 more years of being miserable....or worse.

I guess that is all for now. I can't wait to hear your sweet heartbeat tomorrow...

    I love you!

    Hello Sweet Baby!

I sure hope that you are well today.

I had an OB appt this morning...that went very well. You heartbeat sounded delightful...nice and strong, and you are measuring exactly where you should be for 29 weeks!!! Dr. agreed with me in that, we think you are now in breech position. I am guessing you will remain this way until you arrive. I guess this is just as well...for if you were head down near birth time, I would be mourning the fact that I couldn't have you vaginally. So...onward we go.

I had the glucose test and blood draw. Really, no biggie when you've been through what I've been through. We also discussed the tubal and my concerns. Dr. Raghavan suggested that I consider Implanon...which is a progesterone release into your system...via a match stick size tube implanted in your upper arm. The implant is good for three full years. There are some side effects for some women...but, no way to tell what effect it may have on me. Some women stop mensing...others do have longer/heavier periods. In any event, I wouldn't have to worry about a more challenging recovery from the c-section...and we can wait to do something absolutely permanent. The Dr. asked your dad to consider a vasectomy...we shall see. I am breathing a big sigh of relief tonight though.

This afternoon, I started shifting your sister's clothing into her room. She is sleeping in there like a champ...I am amazed! I am certainly going to stick with Cry It Out with you...because in the end...well, by 20 months...your sibs were both laying down, closing eyes and that's it. So, so worth it for them to have the peace of being able to fall asleep on their own...knowing that we are there if they need us!

Well sweet girl...I am off to rest...

    I love you!
