23 weeks and 6 days
in just a few hours I will be six months pregnant!!
I am feeling pretty good and baby Jake has been kicking up a storm the past few days. I get these really hard kicks against my cervix and I swear he is trying to break out I just learned that the day care (at DD's school) I have him on the waiting list for is going to cost $864.00 per month. That is insane and I am not paying that price. There is no consideration for full or part time either....it's that price or nothing. I will only need care until DD get's out of school, so it's a real waste of money. My cousin has agreed to watch him (starting in February). She has a 4 months old son now and decided to become a SAHM. I feel very blessed to have her.
I broke down and bought some crib bedding and a few other nursery items. There is this bedding I have had my eye on for some time and it recently went to last chance clearance. So I just HAD to get it I have some other items as well. I am going to go for a vintage sports theme. It's from Bombay. Did you know they have kids stuff?
Here is the bedding:
the walls in his room are already a creme tan color, so I will not need to repaint!
Here is the valance I ordered
And here are some accessories I have purchased.
I did have it personalized. I can't believe it actually went through with it. It was a big step for me, but it's cute huh?
I also got these wall hooks
I am think I am going to order a personalized football jersey painting off ebay soon. My dad has this lamp he is giving us that was made out of a vintage trophy cup.
Cel- We will be calling him Jake and I am sure my dad will call him Tommy
Be on the look out for anything vintage sports like and PM it to me if you see anything!
Love the bedroom stuff!!! Sooo happy things are going well sweetie!

I have been thinking of my sweet DS in heaven today. It's been two years since he went to heaven. I miss him although I know he is with the Lord. Whenever I get sad for him (like today) I imagine him sitting with my grandpa and grandma in heaven. It brings me such comfort to visualize that picture.
Big Hugs. I thought his angel date was coming up.

Cool bedroom theme and love the stuff you have already.
25 weeks and 3 days
Had an OB apt today and took the 1 hour glucose test. I get results back in a week. The highlight of my visit was a very lively discussion, almost a debate, on the 3D/4D ultrasound places. I explained to him that I was going to go but I was nervous that they may see something wrong. He said if they did (by law) could not tell me or report it to him. I said that was horrible and unethical. He agreed but said just them doing these types of ultrasounds is wrong. I was shocked that they were not allowed to report anything and said how horrible it was that they could not. I could never life with myself if I withheld that kind of info from someone. He just went on and on on how they were criminal and I said if it made him feel better I would join in protest with him to show solidarity.
Oh...and I have only gained 6 pounds total this whole pregnancy
26 weeks and 2 days
I passed the one hour Glucose screening! However, the blood tests indicate that I have low iron and need to take supplements twice a day I am worried about the constipation it will inevitably bring. *sigh* just when I thought that stage was over!
I am so excited I made it this far
DH, DD and I went to register at a local baby store and BRU yesterday. We were surprised that DD wanted to come. We let her pick out what she wanted for the baby and I think she is actually getting excited about things. DD has been reserved about it all. I am not sure if she is scared to invest anything in this baby because of our past losses or she is just not wanting a sibling.
We were proud that we had both stores done in under 4 hours I wanted to wait a few more weeks to register, but with football season inching closer this would be DH's last free Saturday and Sunday
I am officially in the Third Trimester!!
I have been having a fair amount of braxton hicks the past few days which has worried me a bit. But I have an OB apt. and can discuss it then. I saw my hematologist last week and I will make the switch to Heparin at 36 weeks.
Tomorrow is DD's first day of school. She is at a brand new school this year and poor baby is really nervous!
