The u/s on Friday went great!! As soon as the tech put the wand on my stomach, we saw the baby. And it looked so much more real than the little spot we had seen before. You could clearly see the arms and legs, and it was stretching and moving the whole time. At one point, it even waived at us!! And we heard the hb, it was a very healthy 174.

We saw the dr for a few minutes. She put the doppler on my stomach and we got to hear the hb again. I also got a shot of B6 to help with the m/s.

Dh and I were on cloud nine the whole weekend! It was seriously the best appt we've ever had! We have never made it this far in our pregnancy, and it just feels so amazing!

The day you deliver, outside will be cloudy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .

After a labor lasting approximately 2 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 19 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and a little patch of brown hair.

But there is more. I sense that you are feeling some stress. This is very normal. However, I would like to suggest that you try some of these methods to pamper yourself a bit.

This was a prediction I gor from a website, we'll have to see if it is true!

DH and I have a nightly ritual of listening to the baby on the doppler. It is so reassuring to hear it's little heart beating away so fast! We both love hearing it, which is funny because DH kind of scoffed at me getting it. Ha! He loves as much as I do.

Last night we had a holiday dinner with my boss and another woman I work with. I officially announced I was pregant! (My boss knew, but my coworker didn't know).

Oh, and here is a picture of my baby at the 9.5 week u/s. It is a little blurry, but I love it!

We've also come up with a nickname for the baby, Desmo! DH came up with it because we like motorcycles, and the Ducati is famous for an engine they build called the Desmodouce (sp?). DH thinks that is what the baby's heartbeat sounds like when we use the doppler!

Today is my last day at work, and I am bored! I can't wait to go home for Christmas. I am a little upset that my mom won't be there, she is still in Texas. She has another reconstructive surgery on Jan 5th, and then she should be able to come home towards the end of January. But we will see DH's family, and I will see my sister and BIL. And then even though we are coming home next wednesday, I don't go back to work until Jan 3rd!! That is such a great break, and I am so excited. We have some work to do around the house, but my girlfriend also has work off, so we will probably get together as well.

It has been awhile since I posted here. We had a great holiday. We shared the news with DH's family, and their response was amazing! DH's family is really wonderful, and I am so excited to be able to share the experience with them!

On the way back from Michigan, I had some brown spotting, enough to make me worry and I went in to the dr the Thursday after Christmas. He listened to the hb on the doppler, and checked my cervix, which he said was tight, long and closed. No real explanation for the spotting. I have been taking it easy and have another appt this Friday. Today the spotting was more pink. I am trying to stay calm, I have been able to hear the HB on my doppler every day. I am also feeling like I am getting a yeast infection (sorry if TMI), and I wonder if that can cause spotting. But I think I may be reaching for straws.

In other news, we got a new truck yesterday!! We got a 2000 Ford Excursion! We will use it for family trips, but it is in great shape and it has leather, which was on my wish list.

So hopefully, I can get some answers from my dr on Friday, and baby stays nice and tight. We are busy getting ready for baby at home, so we would be heartbroken if something happened.

Well, we got to see the dr this morning. He listened to the baby on the doppler, and we explained to him that I am still spotting. He asked if we would like an u/s.... Of Course!! We got in a few minutes later with the u/s tech, who is awesome. She saw our baby right away. Everything looks perfect! The placenta is nice and high, which was one of my biggest concerns. Our baby was jumping and kicking and moving around the whole time. She looked to see if she could tell the sex, but it was really too early and the baby was moving around too much.

Anyway, we go back again in two weeks, and I am feeling much better.

I spotted all weekend, but it seems to be gone today!! Hopefully, I am done spotting. It really makes it kind of stressful.

I went shopping this weekend, DH and I are going to the theatre next weekend, and I need something to wear. It is a bit frustrating. Unless you spend a fortune, maternity clothes are so CHEAP =( They are all nylon, spandex and polyester. Nasty materials.... But, I don't want to go to the boutiques and spend a fortune. But I think in the next month or two, I may buy a couple of quality pieces to help me through.

I am in my 2nd trimester!! And today at work, my boss and I were talking about maternity leave and afterwards. It was awesome!! She asked me to talk to my DH and come up with three options for coming back to work after the baby. Taking into consideration flex time and everything else! I can't wait to go home and talk to DH about it. I think this makes sense. If we can find some type of childcare that we are both comfortable with, maybe I would only need it two or three days a week? That would be so much better than working a regular workweek.

We had a great weekend! Saturday night, DH and I went out to a great French place downtown, and then we saw the musical Wicked, which was fantastic!! We really enjoyed each other, and it was great spending time wiht DH. Then we spent the rest of our long weekend (neither of us worked on Monday) working on the nursery. DH is almost competely finished with the french doors. And the room is ready to be painted, but we are going to wait until we know the sex to pick out colors.

I painted the hallway and cooked all day on Monday. I made some pasta sauce to freeze. I made blueberry muffins for breakfast this week. For dinner I made homemade pizza, and peach crisp with frozen yogurt for desert!
