I can't believe it, its a GIRL. I so thought it was going to be a boy. The u/s went really well. Fred and my mom were there. I could not believe it when she said its a girl. I was holding Fred's hand when she said it, it was very sweet. We are both very excited. The tech said everything looked good. I was so relieved. After the u/s we went and bought some outfits for our new addition. It was great. Oh the tech also said the baby was low, no wonder I have to go to the bathroom so much. You could see her mouth opening and closing. It also looked like she was waving at us.

It is still sinking in that we are having a girl. It has been so much fun to tell everyone. I also think we have decided on a name. We are going to leave it open just in case we find something else. For right now we are going to name her Katherine Elizabeth. We will call her Katie. Katherine was my grandmothers name on my moms side, she died way before I was born and I always thought I would use that name if I had a little girl. My mom was really touched when I told her. Elizabeth was Fred's grandmothers name, on his moms side. She died a few years ago before we got married. She really meant a lot to Fred so I thought we could use her name too. I really like the idea of using family names. It really means something.

The only thing I was worried about was using all my good girl names up, but my mom helped me out with that. If we were to have another girl on down the line we could name her Samantha Lee. Samantha after Fred's grandfather Sam and Lee after my grandfather Roy Lee. We also were thinking of using Malcolm as a boys name. Malcolm was my moms maiden name.

I have been feeling some movement that last couple of days too. It feels so cool. I have to be sitting still to feel it and it is very light. I can't wait for Fred to be able to feel it too.

    20 weeks

I had my 20 weeks appt today and it went well. They measured me for the first time and I was measuring right at 20 weeks. I had gained 2 pounds, so now I am up to 142. I have gained 10 pounds so far. Heartbeat was in the 150s. My blood pressure was good. I can't believe I am already half way there, time has went so fast. I am also feeling movement more regularly. I can feel it on the outside if my hand is there. She is still down way low.

Fred and I went and registered at Babies R Us yesterday. I am so glad that he went with me. I was going to go by myself so no one was rushing me but he came and was really helpful. He helped me make some decisions about some stuff and he had a great time with the scanner gun. It was so overwhelming to see all the stuff they have there.

Then today I went and registered at Walmart and Target. Its hard not to go a little crazy with the scanner. So thats one thing done with. We also decided we are going to paint the nursery yellow and white and use the Noah's Ark border we have. Can't wait to get the nursery more together.

    21 weeks and 6 days

Wow time is flying by. It seems like yesterday I was waiting for my BFP. I am getting more and more excited as the days go on. My stomach is definitely getting bigger. Fred thinks its funny when I get so out of breath when I am doing simple things like trying to put on my shoes and such. It crazy how your body works. It is still hard to believe that I am having a baby. I am feeling more movement everyday. It is such a special feeling.

Mother's Day was on Sunday. Fred got me a funny card. It said "Pregnancy can be a very hectic time in a woman's life. We would just like to make sure you don't lose sight on two very important things... your feet." I just giggled all day about that. My mom and Steph also got me cards and the people at work all signed a card for me. I was really touched. I feel like I am joining an elite group of women.

Fred felt her move last night for the first time. She was so active last night for some reason. I don't know if it was because she is getting bigger or what. It is so cool to feel her move on the outside.

    24 weeks

Everything is going so fast. The baby is way more active now. Her kicks are getting stronger. I saw my stomach move for the first time with a kick. It is the most amazing thing to me. My mom has felt her kick now too. She always seems to be more active at night or I guess I just notice it more because I am still. My tummy is also poking out way more. There is no denying whats going on with me. It is so fun for me when people notice I am pregnant. It is such a special time for me. I am just having so much fun with it. I am going to the doctors for my 24 weeks appt on Friday. I got some really cute maternity clothes. I also got a bathing suit. I am feeling good too.

    25 weeks and 1 day

My mom came over last Saturday and started to paint the nursery. She really wanted to be the one to do it so Fred and I were of course fine with that. I think she may finish this weekend. It is looking really great. The bottom part of the wall is yellow and the top is white. The Noah's Ark border is going to be in the middle of the wall. We also picked out a crib. Things are really coming together now.

The baby is kicking so much more now. It just puts a smile on my face when she is kicking. I am going for a 3d ultrasound in July. Fred and I are having so much fun with the pregnancy. I just have loved being pregnant so far. I hope it continues. We went shopping on Monday and I got some maternity clothes. I just can't believe how blessed I am.

Wow things are moving fast. My mom came over on Monday and finished the nursery. It looks so cute. We also ordered the crib and it should be here in about a week or two. After she finished painting, she put up these big stickers that match the border we have. Then it took us forever to figure out how to arrange the room. The nursery is not all that big and we have a long dresser, rocking chair and crib to go in there. I already have the crib mattress, chair and dresser so we moved it all around to get the look we wanted. It really like the way we have it.

Now it just have to figure how to arrange all the clothes and other baby items. My first baby shower is July 15th. I can't wait.
