Introductions Thread!
Hello gals!
I wanted to introduce myself and hopefully bring this board back to life! I'm Pamela, an army wife, with 1 little boy (15 months) and another baby on the way! I am a WAHM (in-home daycare) and I love, love to cook! In my family growing up, every meal was a MEAL. There were never frozen meals eaten in front of the TV and I vowed to myself my kids would be raised the same way :)
Anyway, I'd like to see this board turn into a place where we can come, share our ideas (AND GIVE FEEDBACK! what good is a recipe if no one tells you how it tastes?!) and ultimately take something away from it :) I will be making some changes in the upcoming days, please feel free to send any feedback/ideas my way so we can all make it happen! Oh ya, and since you're around, say hello! :)

Hi Pam! I can't wait to see what this board turns into. I could start out by sharing my White Chicken Chili Recipe, but where to put it? A separate thread? Under the other stickies?

Hi Christine! I think that would be a great recipe to share! Let me get back to you as to where to put it, I'm debating how we should format the stickies :)

Well a quick intro, I'm Wendy with one bub who is just 3 months and married to my hubby for three years(been together for 7 years). I love baking mostly, but general cooking is good too. Hubby is an apprentice chef so I cook a lot just for myself because he works late and often brings leftovers home with him for his tea and of course it will be sometime before baby boy is eating meals with me.

Hello Wendy! I'm SO not a baker haha! Funny enough, DH was the baker in our family- I cook every meal, with a few exceptions and he baked anything else haha! We'll have to get a baking thread going!

Hi! I am Christine, SAHM to an amazing miracle baby Jack. He was born October of 2009 and had a rough start, but we are slowly turning things around. I have a lot of experience with feeding issues in babies and a lot of foodie experience growing up with a chef for a mom. I also have a bachelor's of science in Hospitality Management so I know a lot about food service.
I love making pastries and desserts and don't normally cook to recipes. I have ingredients and I usually just wing the measurements! LOL
@Wendy-I cook a lot for myself too and my son (14 months) has just recently learned how to eat by mouth (he has been and is still on a feeding tube), so I can relate to cooking for myself as my DH works all the time too!

I'm with both you girls! With Dh deployed the past 10 months have been me and the lil' boy :) So I too don't use many recipes b/c it's just hard to make 1 serving of something. I usually use a recipe as my 'guidelines' and edit from there! But I promise to do my best providing measurements in these threads! :)

So exciting to have a board coming back to life. My DH does most of the cooking but it's mainly grilled stuff or boxed stuff. If it requires actual recipes I do the cooking. Because I don't eat beef (unless it is organic, which is expensive) I have to make substitutions of turkey or chicken in some recipes.
I'll have to post my recipes for a low-fat chili, homemade spaghetti sauce, and lasagna.

I'm Cindy. I love to cook and bake and with food allergies in my family it keeps me to a gluten free dairy free menu. It's a good challenge to convert recipes. I'm always looking for new recipes and right now healthy recipes after the holidays.

Cindy, have you seen the 4 ingredients gluten free book, my aunt has it and quite likes it.
