Great idea!

So does anyone have any fun plans this weekend? Tonight, T is spending the night with his cousins, and DH and I are going to the Adams Mystery Playhouse for dinner and a show with DH's sister and her new boyfriend. We went once before and it was sooo much fun, so I am really looking forward to it. What is everyone else up to!

Oooh! Date night sounds like so much fun. The mystery theater looks like a riot. You'll have to tell us all about it. I hope T has fun at his sleepover. ~sigh~ Sometimes I miss being a kid. We're going to go visit my MIL and SFIL on Saturday. I always love visiting with them. I'm so glad that I get along with my MIL....lol. Then on Sunday we'll probably just take it easy. I dunno...we never really plan anything. We just kinda go with the flow. lol.

Jina, we are very much go with the flow type people too. Smile Which I think is good in many ways but has really made it hard for us to get into routines with little ones which is so imperative to keeping this house from being crazy land. LOL

DH and I are celebrating out 12 yr anniversary this Sunday...we are going to dinner Saturday to officially celebrate it. I have picked out an italian place downtown...weve never been before but it has great reviews. I love italian, so really looking forward to that. Otherwise just hanging with the kiddos and I am off today so a 3 day weekend. Yay!

Lynn, congrats on your 12 year anniversary! Mmmmm....Italian sounds amazing. I have to watch my carbs because they want me on a Gestational Diabetes diet, but oh I love pasta. You'll have to tell me all about what you get so I can live vicariously through you! Biggrin

Jina - we have gone one other time before, and it was a hoot! The only thing is, the food is not that great (DH describes it as "Worst wedding buffet food ever" if that tells you anything) but oh well, the show should be great. Also, it will be the first time we are meeting SILs boyfriend. There is a slight amount of drama there because I guess he's much older (like 38) and a divorcee with two kids and everyone treats and thinks of SIL like she's still a kid even though she's 27, so it's a mild scandal. I'm looking forward to meeting him though. Everybody treats her like a kid, but SIL has a good head on her shoulders (she's a freaking engineer, who owns her own home and has a career she loves; she's not a baby) so I'm sure he'll be great.

That's awesome that you get a long so well with your ILs. I do too. It just makes everything so much nicer and easier. Some of the horror stories I hear about some people's ILs give me chills. LOL

Just going with the flow. Unfortunatly, we did have plans for raging waters with my son but then realized those plans had to be revised because mommy can not go on any of the water slides. It was a bummer for me. So maybe a beach day or even just hanging out by the pool. DS wants to go to grandparents house because his new scooter is coming in the mail today and ALL i want to do is spend time with him. Ugh, he is becoming independent and does not need mommy all the time. It makes me sad sometimes.

Lynn, 12 years! WOW, congrats. We are half way there. And every year we add we always say its another year of hell. LOL We love each other dearly. Hope dinner is great.

Alissa, usually those dinner shows never have great food and worst of all over priced. Altough DH & I went on a dinner cruise for out 6 yr anniversary last year and it was great overall. Food was awesome, music was great, and best of all romantic which is something we rarely get a chance to have sine DS is always around.

PN - How old is your son? I was thinking about taking T to a very small waterpark we have near us this week while I am off on vacay. Obviously I won't be doing the water slides, and I think T is big enough for them anyway. They also have a leisure pool (with a play area for smaller kids), a lazy river, a fountain garden, and a sand play area, so I think he and I could have a fun time there.

The food was actually better this time around at the Mystery Playhouse (and the show was HILARIOUS!) so we had a really nice night. I think SILs new boyfriend is older than we thought though because he mentioned having a 22 year old and a 24 year old (SIL is 27...) so....but he seems nice enough. I just think SIL may have downplayed the age difference for her mom's sake. LMAO! Anyway, we had a very nice night.

Oh, that made me laugh about "another year in hell." DH and I have been together for 9 years (married for 7) and our running joke is that you can serve less time for robbing a bank...:D

Before I comment on my weekend plans, I just want to say.. I've been very lazy and the laundry I have done..it's folded, but still in baskets. My dog (the littlest one) just crawled into the basket like it was her bed. haha!

Anyway, I ended up heading to my moms for the weekend. She lives three hours away in the mountains in VA. I left after work and we went to her land to let her HUGE dog run around. I ended up having an asthma attack, that was fun. Mom cooked a steak dinner that I couldn't even eat half of. But I had a good time with her. This morning, I woke up and could never get my stomach under control. Drove 3 hours home constantly grabbing the plastic bag beside me thinking I was going to puke.

DH was home when I got here... I semi-whined that I wanted a taco salad from Taco Bell and he took the hint and went and got it..lol. Poor guy, he got a chicken taco salad because he knows I like chicken, but ..I really wanted beef. I didn't say anything, I ate it anyway....it was so sweet of him to go I didn't have the heart to tell him. I shouldn't have eaten it though.. now my tummy hurts.

But then it always hurts, might as well eat something I like.

Alissa, DS is 6. And is a tornado most of the time. We ended up at the water park on Sunday. I layed in the wave pool like a beached whale for most of the time and was envious of all the very pregnant bellies I saw. DS ENJOYED the slides. Had a blast. Glad to hear the dinner show went well and food wasn't so bad this time around. Maybe a better chef that night.

Jessica, I agree eat what you like. That's how I always dealt with it because IME nothing I did changed how bad I felt (even lost 10 pounds in early pregnancy with DS1) so if something sounds good then go for it. Smile

Jessica - I agree with Lynn - when your tummy is so upset like that, the only thing for it is eating whatever it will actually take. I've been walking around in a semi-queasy state at all times for days, so if something actually sounds good I am going to jump on it!

Except I did that this morning, ate something crazy, and now still feel sick. LOL, oh well I was probably going to be sick regardless.

PedNurse - how fun. Lazing around in a wave pool sounds just my speed at the moment.

Lynn, 12 years! Congratulations! How was the dinner? I love Italian too. I always want Italian from this place in NYC. It was soooo good. I wish I could remember the name of the place. We were all drunk when we stumbled in but man the food was delish!!! lol

Alissa, that's too bad about the food not being very good. I like going to the Alamo Drafthouse. I think you guys have one there in CO. They have pretty decent food. Kind of greasy but good...lol. I'm glad you guys had a nice time and as long as SIL is happy...:D.

PedNurse, I'm glad you guys were able to make it to the park and had a blast. Oh and I think it's awesome that you guys live near the beach.

Babywings, Glad you were able to visit with your mom. I'm sorry about the drive home though! Being sick is no fun but I love it because it means things are progressing nicely!!

AFM, not much going on here....just trying to take it easy after a busy weekend with family. We are still keeping our pregnancy a secret. We were going to announce after the gender scan but we might wait a little longer because BIL and his wife just announced last week that they're pregnant with #3! Lol...they are due 2-7 days after me.

What's for lunch everyone?! I bet I know what you're going to eat Alissa...;) Just kidding.

Good afternoon/evening everyone! Did anyone do anything fun today? I was going to take T to Pirate's Cove which is a little water park near us, but thankfully I called ahead of time because I wanted to see if they had lockers you could rent, and found out that they are closed on weekdays after Aug 11th. Booo! So I took T to the zoo instead, and we had a nice time. They have a new elephant exhibit that we hadn't seen before, so that was fun.

Tonight we are going to "have ice cream" at DH's aunt and uncle's house to see Jon's cousin's family who is in from out of town. This is so mean, but I'm really not looking forward to it...just really tired and cranky because I can't eat ice cream anyway...lol

Let's see, what did I do fun today..? Oh! I had a nap! lol

Worked today, hurried home to take off my uncomfortably tight pants and my bra whos underwire decided to poke me all day. (I don't want to buy bigger clothes until my ultrasound tomorrow). Took a nap...cooked dinner..and basically just sat on the couch with the trash can nearby. I get nauseous every five seconds or so...
DH came home and rubbed my feet and told me how much he loved me.. so that was super nice.

My mom texted me yesterday and told me her stomach hurts..and she said it hurt today too. So now I'm wondering if this really is morning sickness or if I have a stomach bug...

Alissa, that's too bad about the water park! I'm glad you guys were able to have fun at the zoo. I love going to the zoo even though the one we have here in Austin is tiny and is more like an animal sanctuary. How was the ice cream party? I hope you had a good time. Wink

Babywings, I'm sorry you're feeling so sick but take it as a good sign! I hear you on the tight pants....lol. How sweet of your DH to rub your feet. I love getting my hands and arms massaged. Biggrin

AFM, So...I finally had to do it. I ordered 2 pairs of maternity jeans. I'm pretty excited! One of pairs is the maternity version of my favorite JBrand jeans that I wear all the time! Seriously, it's the same cut and color just with an elastic waist! Ha! Now no one will know that I'm wearing maternity jeans! Wink

I NEED to start exercising. I have gotten so lazy. I have a treadmill and 3 prenatal workout dvds here making me guilty. I've gotten most of my energy back but I'm still pretty tired these days. I'm promising myself that I will exercise for at least 30 minutes today. Smile

Jina - Squeeeeee! You are 15 weeks! Baby is the size of a navel orange! (Sorry, just saw your ticker and got really excited for you. Can't wait for your scan next week!!! Also, how exciting that you are moving into maternity stuff!!! I bet you look freaking adorable!

Haha, the ice cream party went okay... Luckily, one of their rules was that everyone had to be out the door by 745 so their kids could be in bed on time (never mind that the rest of us have even smaller kids that won't be in bed on time since we had to come to your house.....lol...sorry, I am still feeling snippy....lol) Anyway, so luckily it didn't take forever, and we were home pretty early. I know I can stop feeling cross about it any time now....lol!!!

Babywings - That is very sweet of your DH. I agree with Jina, it sucks that you are so sick, but I also think it sounds like a great sign.

AFM - OMG, I feel like I just dodged a bullet. LOL So, we just had our kitchen completely redone because we had water damage, and we also got new appliances. When they came and installed the appliances, they messed up some of the brand new stuff we just had put in (scratched the heck out of a brand new door frame, chipped the corner of some brand new dry wall, chipped a bunch of fresh paint, and ripped some of the new linoleum in the laundry room. So DH wants Best Buy to fix it or pay to fix it.

The guys from Best Buy were supposed to come over today to look at it, and I am the only one home since I'm on vacay this week and DH is at work. Okay, first of all, I'm not great at being assertive over stuff like this. I'm just not. Second of all, I was here when they delivered the stuff, and if it's the same guys, they were scary looking. Not to be judgemental, but we're talking big guys with shaved heads and covered in head to toe tattoos, and crazy piercings and stuff. Sorry, but that is scary looking to me. Third of all, DH tells me, right before he walks out the door "Don't take any crap from that guy, he's kind of a d!ck." Greaaaat. And THEN, the icing on the cake, DH texts me and asks me to call the guy to confirm that they're coming over, and tells me the guy's name is, I kid you not, Vladimir. Freaking VLADIMIR???? As in, "the Impaler?!?" LMAO I'm like, OMG, seriously, these guys are going to kill me and drink my blood in the name of the dark lord or something. LMAO Luckily, when I called "Vladimir" he said that he couldn't make it until about 530 tonight, by which time DH will be home. Thank GOD. LOL

LOLOLOL! Your killin me here Alissa, seriously too funny! Glad it worked out where you didn't have to deal with them. DH and I are opposite. I'm the one who has to do that sort of stuff because DH is way tooo nice and will avoid even perceived confrontation at all costs. I also work in construction management so I am somewhat used to it as well.

Just got back from lunch with my mom. She treated me to the place of my choosing today so we went to Taco Bell. I am loving that place lately. Wink It was nice to go out for lunch and chat with mom. Smile

Alissa, lol...thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have a cute little baby bump. It seems that my waist is just getting thicker...lol.

Haha! I'm glad you didn't have to stay late. I hate when I get invited out on weekday nights...I know I probably sound like an old fuddy haha!

OMGosh, that's freaking hilarious! I hate having maintenance/service guys here when I'm home alone too. In fact, I make sure Hubby is home! I mean, what if they decide to attack us? I'm a pretty petite person so I would get overpowered pretty easily. Eeeek! I don't wanna think about it anymore! Anyhoo, I'm really glad it all worked out. Biggrin

Lynn, I'm glad you had a nice lunch with your mom. I could soooo go for a taco right about now.

Awww Lynn, I'm glad you got to go to lunch with your mom and chat. That's awesome that you are the assertive one in your relationship. You wouldn't be able to tell it from the debate board, but I'm such a wimp in real life. I HATE confrontation. I'm also a sucker for a sad story as I will tell you later in my post.

Jina - Haha about the beer belly. I agree with Lynn, I bet you're going to be allllll belly when you pop because you're so small. Unlike me, when I got pregnant with T, I was always pregnant in my upper arms, thighs, and booty. Lol

AFM - Vlad the Impaler finally showed up, before DH did. He immediately sensed that I am a punk and started talking about what they were NOT going to pay for. LMAO. Luckily, DH came home after about 2 minutes, and he is way more assertive than I am, so instead they started in on a sob story (which also got to me) about how they only make $100 a day...I was looking at DH like "It's just a couple of scratches....they only make $100 a day, we'll just paint over it....DH was unmoved, and they ended up agreeing on $100 bucks to us, and we fix it ourselves. And I forgot to rescind Vlad's invitation, so he's probably going to come back tonight and drink $100's worth of our blood...

T is in trouble. He keeps lying to us, and it's driving me crazy, so he is "On Punishment" (basically, no dessert, no movies, no treats). :bigangry:

What did everyone do for dinner tonight? I made Bonita's chicken and veggie/Italian dressing bake. I used gemstone potatoes, and green zucchini and yellow squash. It's still baking so I'm waiting to taste it. I'll let you all know how it turns out!

haha, everyone has a sob story ... glad ya'll got something worked out and hope he doesn't show up later Wink

the chicken sounds yum, I love squash

We had sloppy joes here and french fries. Oh so healthy and tasty, not, lol. But DH took care of dinner so I ate it...he and I just do not have the same taste in food. We can never go out and split a meal b/c he has the worst taste in food. haha And at Christmas he likes to get boiled custard instead of eggnog, crazyness. Oh and also thinks waffles are better than pancakes, what!?! Although I think I brought him to my side there since I've been making my moms pancake recipe for Satuday mornings lately. He even told me last time I made them that his mom cooked a lot of good food but pancakes was not one of them and hers were nothing like my pancakes. I actually like my MIL so there isn't any sort of competition there but it was still nice. DH's dad is very picky and strange about what food he likes and MIL is the wife that did things to her DH's liking no matter what others in the family may like and FIL actually prefers burnt pancakes so that's all DH had growing up. No wonder he didn't know any better Biggrin

Well I totally went off on a tangent there :eyeroll:

Sorry about T and the lying problem. Colin has had that some but our big problem with him is just plain, outright, disobediance. He'll ask if he can do something and I'll say no and he proceeds like I said yes, oh no sir...that does not fly with mommy. He is very stubborn and breaking him down from that is tough. These little 4 year olds are not easy to deal with sometimes...they have too much a mind of their own.

Alissa, hehe..all belly would be nice. Wink LOL...you sound like me. I'm kind of a pushover when it comes to sob stories. I'm glad your DH showed up to save the day. I'm guessing you still have all your blood this morning?! Wink

Sorry about T lying. That's got to be really difficult and frustrating. I hope you guys get past this stage soon.

How was dinner? I made beef noodle crock pot thingy and it was surprisingly good!

Lynn, Mmmm...I love sloppy joes. We only have sloppy joes like once every 2 years or something. I don't know why we don't make it more often. I usually like the put lays regular potato chips in my sandwich. I know, it sounds really gross...lol. But, that's the way I like it! Your DH IS crazy for thinking that waffles are better than fluffy pancakes! Wink Your ILs kind of sound like mine. My SFIL is a PICKY eater and my MIL obviously caters to him. She's actually a good cook but SFIL really likes boring bland food. Haha!

AFM, Ugh! It's been a rough week. Everything?s been going great and BAM! All of the sudden EVERYTHING is breaking! lol Our Freezer needs a new circuit board, the water heater keeps going out, our insurance company is trying to screw us and my Hubby's car needs a new part and of course the warranty ran out in April. My car has a recall on a part, which thankfully is still under warranty. Oh and both of our cars are due for maintenance. WTH?!?! ROFL

Lynn - Yes, four is a fun age. LOL No really, I actually really like "4" a lot, but there are a few things (lying, not listening) that I could do without. They are definitely coming into their own and have such vivid little personalities, and I love a lot about this age, but the lying and not listening has got to go. I'm like you, that stuff doesn't fly with me. It's funny, last night T asked "Why do you like to punish me?" Guilt trip much? LOL I told him "I don't like to punish you, but I love you and it's my job to teach you to act right and be a good person. If I didn't love you so much, I wouldn't care so much."

Jina - Yikes, you guys have a lot on your plates!!! I hope that you are able to get everything all sorted out quickly, with a minimum of financial pain. When it rains it pours!

AFM - The chicken dish was good! I think next time, I will use about half as much butter (LOL to a whole stick of butter! I felt positively sinful putting that in!) and maybe add some liquid Italian dressing as well as the powdered mix. Also, maybe add the squash and zucchini at about 30 minuted because they got over cooked. But over all, definitely a keeper recipe because it was yummy and so easy, just with a few tweaks to suit my personal tastes. Smile

What is everyone up to today? I had a little more spotting yesterday (literally only like 3 drops) and it scared me a little, so I am spending the day on the couch eating leftovers and taking it extremely easy.

Alissa, awwww...I can't believe T said that to you. I would have totally given in because I'm a sucker. I have a feeling the reason why my neices like me so much is because I let them get away with everything.

I'm going to make Bonita's chicken really soon. Maybe the week after next. I already have my meals planned for next week. I'll let you guys know how it turned out. Oh and I forgot to mention that I made Mustard Something Chicken the other day. YUM!!

I hope the spotting clears up soon!!!

AFM, I feel so so so sick. You know how my freezer thawed out? Well, because I'm a total dumb person, I decided to save some of the TV dinners. Um...bad idea! Yeah....I totally learned my lesson. It's just that I had JUST gone grocery shopping and spent a lot of money buying all this frozen crap and I felt so guilty throwing everything away. Oh well.

Food. I love food. I felt pretty good at the end of my work day today so I figured I'd make DH dinner (NOT frozen pizza) ... yeah..so, I get halfway to get a cart, start feeling sick again and ended up getting Chicken Voila. Haha. Hey, it wasn't pizza!

Jina - Oh my gosh, so sorry that you got sick!!! I don't blame you for not wanting to throw out all of that food you just bought. What a waste of money and food! I hope that you're feeling better today. Does your home owners insurance cover your freezer? Unfortunately I don't think ours covers appliances, but hoping you have a better policy than us. Smile

Babywings - I don't think you should feel bad about not cooking, especially with as sick as you've been. I'm not that sick (just get a little gaggy from time to time), I'm just super tired, and I still am only cooking a real meal about every other day (and I've been home all week, so in theory I totally could have gotten my butt up and cooked at some point, I'm just too tired and queasy to care. lol) I'm sure your hubby understands. He sounds very sweet. I've never tried one of those Voila meals, are they good?

AFM - Today is the last day I have off work (other than the weekend, which I would have off anyway.) :crybaby: I am spending the day watching Grimm on Demand (DH's cousin-in-law is on that show and we've never watched it so I want to see!) and going to lunch with my SIL. There is an awesome Vietnamese place by her office that I love desperately (Vietnamese may be my fav genre of food) so we are doing lunch there. That place is sooooo good, and I hardly ever go because there are so many places that are closer, if not quite as good. They have this seitan dish that I seriously crave. Other than that, taking it verrrrry easy and letting baby cook in peace. lol Hope everyone has a great day.

Babywings, I love food too. I wish I wasn't so vein or lazy or that I can eat all I want without guilt! lol Yay for not grabbing the frozen pizza! Have you thought about making crock pot meals? It's been a life saver for me. I used to use my crock pot once or twice a year but now I use it 1-3 times a week! But, yeah, I remember not being able to really stomach any "real" food in the first trimester. It was mostly toast and bananas for me with tons of take-out which I promptly threw back up! Ahhhh...the joys of 1st trimester, right? All worth it in the end! Biggrin

Alissa, no, I don't think so. I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure we're on our own for appliances. I think we're just going to order a new circuit board and Hubby will probably just replace it himself. Or I'm just going to sell this house and move! LOL JK....I wish! We're probably going to stay here for at least another year or two.

Awww....I'm sorry your vacation is almost over. I'm glad you had the week off though to relax and take it easy. How cool about your DH's cousin-in law! Is s/he one of the main characters? Oooh! Enjoy lunch with your SIL. Vietnamese food sounds soooo good. I love Vietnamese food. Have fun today and grow that baby! Wink

AFM, So, Hubby has to work (from home) all weekend. I guess there's some big project going on at work. I swear I think he might me crazy. It's like the busier he is the happier he gets.

Anyhoo, I received one of the pairs of maternity jeans I ordered. I tried them on and oh my freaking heaven. I love them. They are so comfy. I ordered my normal size and there's a bit of stretch to them but hopefully my butt and thighs won't get very big because there's really not a whole lot of room to grow. The only thing about these jeans is that they kind of make my little pouch look bigger than it really is and I'm not sure if I like that. lol

So, for dinner last night I ate half of a rotisserie chicken slathered in barbeque sauce. I also had a giant bowl of salad with for dinner last night I ate half of a rotisserie chicken slathered in barbeque sauce. I also had a giant bowl of salad with hampaign dressing. YUM! I don't know why but I was really craving chicken with barbeque sauce and a giant bowl of salad. It was sooo good. I want some more! lol

Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We're probably going to be home most of the weekend. I just have a few errands to run but other than that I plan to take it real easy. I figure once baby is here I won't be able to just laze around and sleep in so I might as well take advantage while I can!

Hey everyone I decided to come hang out some now that I'm working from home I have a little more posting time than I did before.

Jina - your jeans will be fine...I'm having twins and really nothing in the thighs/legs until this week really and I'm pretty sure it's all swelling. I believe had I been having a singleton I'de have no issue at all.

Alissa - So sorry you have to go back to work, I'm counting the days till I can stay home for a while with the babies Smile

Babywings - I completely understand the food issues. I was nauseaus sick till 20 weeks then developed food reactions to tomatoes, onions, garlic and alot of raw vegetables for the remainder of my pg....I am so tired of eating bland boring plain food. I can't wait till my tummy is back to normal with food :).

Danny - Onions and Garlic on your no-no list? AHH! I've been basically cramming down my throat whatever I want. It all comes back up anyway, might as well enjoy it on the way down. (However, when it does come back up, I'm always like...WHY DID I EAT THAT??) lol

Alissa - going back to work sucks..lol I LOVE Vietnamese. I've only had it twice, but it was soooo good.

Jina - I keep putting off going shopping. I desperately need a new bra and some bigger pants, I keep walking around with them unbuttoned..lol. But I'm scared I'm going to jinx myself and the baby if I buy clothes (I know that's weird).

AFM, today was the first day at work that I stayed and got everything accomplished. My boss was pushing me out the door at the end. Nurse gave me Zofran and it worked miracles! I didn't get it until 9am, (I go in at 4am), so I had 5 hours of pleasedontthrowuppleasedontthrowup...nononono...$hit. Haha. Anyway, I'm home now and going to cook DH some dinner. The chicken voila was good, but definitely not a "homemade" meal. DH may work this weekend, if he does I dunno what I'll do. I've been invited to hear a band play down the street on Saturday night, so I may go to that. Checked my bank account this morning, something was wrong so I checked my paycheck - yeah, there's a garnishment on it. I've NEVER been garnished. SO I called and it's from a credit card that me and my ex had 7 years ago. Apparently he didn't pay it off, like he said he would. 100 bucks a week - gone - until November. *groan*

Babywings - so glad that the Zofran worked for you! Do you know if your insurance covers it? That is AWFUL about the garnishment from your wages! Is there no way to make your ex pay for it like he was supposed to?

Danny - Yay! So glad that you are joining us!!! How are you feeling these days?

Jina - So glad you got a pair of maternity jeans that you like! Haha about your pouch. It's going to get a lot bigger before it gets smaller...best get used to it. Wink I'm sure you look super cute. I'm trying to imagine a petite girl like you eating an entire half a chicken and giggling to myself. You are definitely pregnant! LOL

DH's cousin is married to Bree Turner who as I understand it is going to be a regular and a love interest on Season 2 of Grimm. I think she plays some kind of werefox. I haven't seen her yet. Smile

Alissa - they gave me generic Zofran. It was only 8 bucks for 30 pills.
My ex declared bankruptcy, is 10 years older than me, lives with his mom and has the money to pay the bill. However, the less I talk to him the better. I don't "hate" a lot of people, but he's one of them. I'll just get garnished. It'll be worth it in the end.

I'm so glad you were able to get the medication that you need affordably! That is great news!

I understand about not even wanting to deal with your ex....

So what did everyone do this weekend?

Friday night we went to dinner at my ILs house. On Saturday DH took T to a Rockies game, and I stayed home and rested. This afternoon I think T and I are going to go see ParaNorman. Smile Anyone else have anything fun going on?

DH had to work this weekend, so I got home from work yesterday (I only work like 5 hours on Saturday) and started fixing everything we needed for the cookout. I caught the stove on fire, that was fun. Today, I slept on and off until 1130! That's craziness. I could totally go back to sleep now. Don't have anything planned for today, I need to wash DH's work clothes. But other than that, think I'm just gonna chill on the couch. My brother is at work today until 6, DH won't be home until 3 (or 5, depending on when he gets off) and .. it's just me and the dogs and noooo noise. Ahhhhh

Hi guys

Babywings that really sucks he won't oapay his bill but what can you do. hopefully the zofran helps, I would not have survived without nausea medicine!

Alissa I,ve not watched Grimm, is it worth catching up on?

Jina you are cracking me up with your food craving. since there is o much I can't eat right now, I enjoy reading about your meals.

AFM tough couple of days, high protein on Fri at specialist and they suspectearly signs of pre eclampsis. Also started contracting yesterday, not regular intervals but enough to be uncomfortable. Taking 24 hr protein test now and bloodork then doc tomorrow.

Danielle, YAY! So glad you're joining us over here! I'm sorry that you haven't been able to enjoy food. That really sucks. I seem to remember that you and your DH like to cook a lot, right? Eeek! Sorry about the high protein and early signs of pre eclampsia. How are you feeling today? Please KUP asap! I'm sending you tons of positive vibes!!!

Babywings, I don't think it's weird. I STILL knock on wood and worry that I'm jinxing myself! I think the worry never really goes away once you've had a loss. Yeah, I finally decided to order maternity jeans after spending the day at my BIL's house in complete misery. I can still button my jeans fine but once I try to sit down or bend over I'm in so much pain. I have 2 bella bands but for some reason they are really uncomfortable to me. I dunno...they itch! lol But, lots of people love them and swear by them. Oh no! I'm sorry about your check getting garnished. That really sucks! Stupid EX! Sad I'm am glad that Zofran is helping you. I wish I had taken them. My RE prescribed them to me but I forgot to pick up the prescription and I just suffered through. LOL Very dumb of me!

Alissa, LOL...I know....I guess I'm going to have to start getting used to it. Haha! Yep...half a chicken all by myself! Wink Oh how cool is that about your DH's cousin?! Bree Turner is very pretty! Lucky guy! lol So....do you see them a lot during holidays and such? How was the movie? I hope you guys had fun. I also hope you're having a good first day back!

AFM, Oh man, I am so freaking tired today. I didn't sleep very well last night. I feel asleep on the couch while Hubby was working on his laptop and I guess I yelled at him to let me sleep when he tried to get me to go to bed. I don't think I was fully asleep. I could hear the clicking of keys on Hubby's laptop and the TV blaring all night. I remember waking up at 4:55 am and deciding to go to bed and Hubby was wide awake still working. He woke me up again at 8 as he was leaving for work. Crazy man...I don't think he slept at all last night. I swear, you guys, my Hubby is crazy!

I need to paint my toenails today and get the house cleaned up. I treated myself to a cup of coffee but I don't think it's working. LOL

Oh and ugh! I had to return the other pair of maternity jeans. They were too big and itchy. Yuck.

We went to the mall on Saturday to buy a B-day present for my niece and realized that it was tax free weekend. The mall was sooooo crowded. We braved it and ended up with the cutest outfit for my niece at Gap Kids. We also ended up buying a little outfit for our little one too. Hubby saw it at Macy's and said "I want to buy this". I looked at it and it was cute but not gender neutral at all. I said that I didn't want to jinx us by buying boy clothes and he wouldn't let it go. He HAD to have the outfit. He was just too cute so how could I say no?! So we ended up buying it. So, buying one outfit turned into buying 3 more things for baby. Oh and they are all boy stuff. LOL

Jina, 15 weeks and still buttoning your jeans? That's totally not happening over here. I actually have two pair of pants that the button is no longer there... and I used to go by them while searching for clothes and now I go TO them while searching for clothes...lol. I had lost 8 lbs between my two doc appts about a week and a half apart, so I might be able to button something now, but I haven't even tried. I'm a big girl anyway, but lately I just feel huge!

Danny, good luck at your doc appt! I know you're miserable and ready to pop, but just keep thinking - the longer those babies stay in there, the better! And good luck with the p.e. Hopefully all the "symptoms" aren't leading to that.

I had to leave work early today. I just couldn't make it. I'm so tired and my stomach is still queasy (Even though when I'm at work all I eat is ginger thingys and crackers)...and I was just miserable. Plus I bought some new shoes and they made my feet hurt. So I left work, paid the power bill and came home and crashed on the couch. Feels nice to just...sit here.

Babywings - thanks for the good wishes. My in office tests looked much better this morning and my OB does not think the bloodwork and 24 hour test is going to show anything. Don't worry about the pant buttoning thing. I think it all depends on your body shape. I'm pretty tall and didn't need maternity pants for a while - I went to them sooner than I had to for comfort (around 12-13 weeks) just because I found less pressure helped some with my nausea. If your clothes are tight I started with some great below the belly pants from old navy that were pretty cheap when I wasn't ready to commit to this pregnancy. It was a way to tip toe into maternity clothes.

Jina - yes DH and I love to cook. He made shrimp tacos for me last night with two separate sets of shrimp (one seasoned and one plain grilled for me), 2 different quac (one without onions and peppers) and made a sweet mango/corn salsa and cabbage vs. our normal hot chipolte salsa. He is being a doll with this food thing. But he really does miss my Cajun cooking. I hope I can eat regular food soon!

Alissa - Hope you are doing well

AFM - Friday's doc appt scared me to death but today's appt looked much better and my OB does not think I'm starting PRe-E. I am very grateful for that. I was hoping for a vaginal birth and I still may have one if I go on my own, but they have scheduled a cesarean for me on September 6th if I don't go into labor on my own. Right now I'm Vertex/Breach and there are only a few doctors in the practice that will delivery 2nd twin breach and they strongly suggest not for 1st pregnancy with twins if there is an induction hence the cesarean if I don't go on my own.

Fingers crossed these babies make their entrance on their own in the next two weeks Smile My doc is really pleased about growth, size and how well I've done. I'm thinking I have 12 lbs of baby and I don't have any more room!!!!! Smile I'm grateful that I've made it to full term!!!

Danny - Eek, sorry that you are not feeling well and having signs of pre-eclampsia and whatnot, although also glad to hear that your tests were better today. Are they going to be monitoring you more closely (or are they already?) now that you had a bit of a scare? BTW, I was lurking on your BB (I like to lurk on the other BBs, so exciting to see the belly pics, et cetera) and saw a belly pic you recently posted. Ohmigosh, you look so freaking cute! You're allllll belly! Anyway, glad that you are doing okay. About ready to be done, I'm sure. Smile

Babywings - Sorry you were feeling so poorly today. Is your boss understanding about you needing to take it easy?

Jina - Yes, Bree is pretty, and very nice too. They live in LA so we don't get to see them that often, but they come out to Denver to visit DH's aunt and uncle a couple of times a year. They have a beautiful little girl, and will soon have a little boy (prob within the next month or so.) DH's cousin is a surgeon and also a stone fox, so they seem well suited to each other. LOL!

Yay for buying some baby stuff...even though you don't quite know for sure yet....you will in two days! Yahoo Oh well, you can always return it if it turns out you need pink instead of blue.

Sorry you are so tired today. I hope that you sleep better tonight! Can't believe your crazy hubby stayed up all night long and then went to work at 8 am. Makes me tired just to think about it!

AFM - Today is my first day back to work (booooo!) Actually, it's not too bad. It's nice to see all of my work friends and tell them about my u/s last week and whatnot. On my lunch hour I went and bought a belly band since my jeans already hurt. I'm sure it's just bloating since the baby is the size of a freaking blueberry, lol, but I am still happy to be able to get more comfortable. Trying to decide what I want to make for dinner tonight. Will have to run by the store on the way home. Anyone have any quick easy relatively healthy dinner ideas for me?

Alissa, I work in a grocery store and I'm too tired when I get off (or leave early) to even buy stuff for dinner..lol Then I get home, and I'm like mannn, what am I gonna make? The only thing we have in the freezer is chicken and cube steak...and regular steak but that's not happening. I think I'll make some chicken marsala. Nice and non-healthy for baby.

Danny - I'm glad todays doc appt went better. Good luck being able to vaginally birth your twins. My mom told me a long time ago that twins run in my family. When I got preg she told me that again. There is not a single set of twins that I know of in my family... I love my momma, but she's silly sometimes.

babywings, I'm glad you were able to take the day off and relax at home. Sorry about the new shoes. I hate that! I always break in new shoes at home by stretching them out a tad bit by putting on 2 pairs of socks and then wearing the shoes around for a several hours. Always works for me. Wink

Danielle, mmm....I love shrimp tacos! How sweet of your DH you make two versions just for you. I might have to make some shrimp tacos really soon! I'm so glad to hear that the appointment went well yesterday and that you still might have a chance at birthing them vaginally. I really hope you get to have the birthing experience you want. You're almost there!! You can do this!! Biggrin

Alissa, how cool! Hehe...I think it's so cool that you have a famous actress in your family. Wink Eeek! One more day! My u/s is also at 4pm. I'm going to keep everything crossed for both of us!! Biggrin I'm glad you got a belly band. There's nothing worse than pants that dig into your tummy. Ouch! I'm going to start a recipe thread in a bit. Hopefully we can all share easy or delicious meal ideas!

AFM, I feel much better today. I got some decent sleep last night. Biggrin

I made sun dried tomato and asparagus risotto last night and served it with a spring salad with champaign dressing. It was soooo good. Yum!! Not exactly healthy for you but sometimes you just gotta indulge a bit, right? I guess I'm finally getting some energy back because I've been really into cooking again. I love trying new recipes. I hope you all will join in on the recipe thread. Smile

They moved my appointment up to today (in 45 minutes) because I am cramping and passing (small) clots. I know it's probably just the SCH (I HATE THAT THING! I'M SO MAD AT IT) but I felt like I should call since it's progressed to clots. Wish me luck. Smile Can I just say too that I love my drs office for seeing me as often as I need them to? LOL I'm sure they are sick of me by now...

Glad they are accommodating you. I saw my RE until 13 weeks and they saw me all the time and I was on the phone with them too. It's worth your peace of mind!!! KUP let us know how your appt is. Hopefully it's the end of this SCH.

Yahoo :yahoo: Yahoo

Everything looks great, baby's HB is high (but not too high) and Danny, you may be right! The clots may well have been the SCH finally breaking up and leaving the building because he couldn't find the SCH when he went looking for it. Granted, we were on their old portable machine (the nice new one is at the office across town) and my OB is also not an u/s tech (lol!) so it's possible that he missed it, but he looked all around the lining of the sac, and said that everything was smooth instead of having any dark areas that would indicate the clot. So who knows, maybe the wretched thing really is going to go away and stop making me crazy. They were so sweet at the office. I told the lady flat out "I'm sorry I call and come in every couple of days." She was so nice, she just said "We want to make sure you're okay, especially with your history. We don't want you to just let things go, it's better to know. Call us as much as you need to, that's the whole reason we're here." My OB said the same. He also scheduled another quick u/s in two weeks, but added "unless the spotting continues and we need to see you before then, then we'll see you sooner." I love them so much.

So uh...having survived this 8 week scan (the one I was truly dreading, because that's the one that revealed the mm/c in my last two losses....I'm starting to think I may have a good chance at actually having this baby.....:yahoo:

Oh my gosh Jina - Eeeeeeee! Your appointment is tomorrow. I can't wait! You MUST update us as soon as humanly possible. Your dinner sounds amazing, by the way, and I will definitely check out the recipe thread.

Danny - Haha, glad to hear that I am not the only crazy person that is spending the first trimester basically camped out at their OB's office. Smile

Babywings - Did you make your chicken marsala? That sounds really good! How did it turn out?
